I moved my rear towers all the way forward and then replaced the the stock Element body post with an Axial body post maintaining the stock holes in the bed. I too removed the “fuel cell” and used an aluminum G Speed chassis brace. Nice work on your mods.
I sincerely hope all is well with you. 8 months is a long time to be without a video from my favorite rc channel, but that’s just selfish. I really hope you and yours are well, and all is ok.
Thank you very much for reaching out and for your positive thoughts. I greatly appreciate it. I am doing well, but this year, there have been series of events that have taken me away from the hobby. I have been meaning to get back, but it's taking much longer than I had anticipated. I hope to be back shortly...thanks for your patience.
Great video, love these videos of the free mods that actually make a good difference! Thinking of getting the sandero se or the ecto, not sure which yet, im mainly on rocks what would you recommend out the box with your 5 free mods? Hope you and your family are well, saying hi from the UK 🇬🇧 👋
Thank you for the compliment and question. They are both great choices and you won’t go wrong with either of them. That being said right out of the box I would give slight edge to Sendero SE. It performed extremely well and financially it is better value. Good luck.
Yes, I am still around. I have been preoccupied with work and family for the past year. I am out of country at the moment, but I will be back in few weeks and hoping to resume filming again.
Thanks for asking. Going through a bit of home remodeling and lost my workspace at the garage and all the rains earlier in the year also did not help with filming time. I have an upcoming trip out of state as my oldest is graduating from college. I plan to resume afterward, so I will be back with new vids mid-May.
Thanks for posting Sendero SE mod videos. I went with the IERC shock key route and used your other relocation battery tray video to help my build. Happy crawling!
What is the point of lowering the rear? I raised my body so that the tires no longer rub when the springs are compressed. The tires on your Sendero grind even earlier now..... IMO, isn't it ?
Great question. It’s a step towards the end goal. Incremental changes will lead to a truck that takes it to next level of performance. I will be lowering the front at some point. The whole idea of lowering the chassis is to lower the CG which is a big part of performance improvement.
The rear body rub is caused by wheelbase more so than the lowered ride height. The body is designed for 12.8" WB, but Sendero SE comes with 12.6" WB with the current links. I plan to address it, and that should help with rear body rub.

Helps with lowering the cog

NIce video, doesnt lowering the ride heights, cause body rub?
