The you have impressed people enough to make custom rear bumpers on a Lamborghini. Now you are stepping up into a street legal trophy truck project. On top of it all is your channel is a two person team. Props to not so little sister for the camera work and more.
I like watching your progression. I started watching you when you built your sister’s little goat kart! the breaking arms to building kill buggies!❤ young man rock it until the wheels fall off!
The only critique I would have told you is start with the body panels of an actual truck. I built my first trail hopper using just the sheet metal of an S10 pickup. Regardless, you are stepping it up, and I'm excited to see what you come up with bro. It'll be awesome, and unlike the nay sayers, you are actually doing it.
I see that your sister is more present on the channel, you should teach her your ways... I have been teaching my daughter how to fabricate and now I can't get her out of the garage, she's extremely helpful. Now I'm waiting for my other daughter to grow up a little bit to get her into fabrication, my daughter asked me a couple months ago for a lifan engine and she turned an electric golf cart into a 5 speed with reverse gas golf cart, I'm very proud of her.
Vasily!!!! Wicked build bro, I’m not sure how old you are but I like looking up to you man, I’ve actually been wanting to do this exact build for a MINUTE!! ,and seeing you do it makes me want to do it even more .my last cage I built was a couple months ago for a 800 hp 72 Chevelle and seeing this fills me with gratitude as far as where I can go personally
Definitely been stoked for you to do a ground up build since seeing you rip chris from ratherbwelding's cbr 1000 build n telling him you hope to one day build something from scratch. You might have 1 or 2 more hp than him though with an ls lol
I suggest a LS and trans from a FWD Chevy. Just drop the thing in the back. They make upgraded trans parts/posi for them and you can utilize the CV setup.
I have heard that the fwd LS has the same bell housing bolt pattern as a saab 6 speed manual AWD gearbox. although might be difficult to get the tailshaft to point out the front.
I know you said you didn't want front engine, but why not just go front mid engine and save yourself the money? Mount the engine low and right between the seats. Similar weight distribution and a lot cheaper. You can then get the shorter wheelbase. You can get a CD009 or something for under $1000 and it can hold over 1000hp 6 speed manual, and apparently has a very short first gear if you do rock crawling. Just relocate the shifter forward. Personally I'd love to see something super unique and go with an Atlas 4.2 inline 6 by working with Nivlac57, but I can dream. Plenty of torque and would give more room on the sides than the LS. Can put out 800hp turbo with stock parts and they are like $200-600.
Awesome! LS with a whipple. I love these videos where you get quite a bit accomplished! Looking forward to it! And definitely would plan to add 4x4. For tight situations.
I agree about the fender bars. They look great! Have you considered curving the front roof bar, to match? Side note: If you're OK with using an automatic, the GM TH425 might fit the bill. But it only has 3 speeds.
Oooww mama 😲,it’s going to be insane ,bro I was thinking ,the dip in the roof at the front would be a great place for an air scoop, top build ,shout out to sis for the help 😎can’t wait for the next episode, you do get a lot a work in to the video,it makes it look easy, but obviously it’s not that easy ,it’s easier for you that most of us because of your experience, your work is top notch as well not rushed in the slightest 😎
Even with all your experience, I am still impressed with how ambitious this build is. Especially when we consider the cost. I really think you are going to nail it, and I like that you are open to advice from your followers. I just hope you can filter out the wheat from the chaff when it comes to comments. What happens regards the engine oil capacity if you keep the LS with that reduced sump? Do you use an external oil tank? Where will the radiators go? I am guessing high and at the back. Note I know feck all about this sort of build, but I did work as a design engineer at Ford Product Development UK (test instrumentation, not car design) and I can't help thinking about how stuff fits together. BTW those are some lovely welds. The whole thing looks super impressive, and I have a feeling your views and subscribers will grow heaps as this build progresses.
@@UKBUILT I just checked your channel, and that's an interesting build. Let's hope you can get past that thousand subscriber starting point from your comment.
@@TrevorDennis100 Thanks for your support 👍 yeah that would be awesome, It would realy encourage the filming process if I hit 1K 🙂 I was going to build it anyway, my mind was changed at last minute to record the build, I have been working on cool projects for years. Enough people wanted to see this one so I thought I'd give it a shot 🤞 I am 99% petrol head, 1% youtuber 🤣 I already have my next build lined up. My dream is to have a collection of epic cars 😍 I am putting alot of effort into the next video to hopefully up the production quality so hopefully it hits well 💪 Thanks 😎
@@UKBUILTI thought about doing a scratch built supercar, but decided against it. Instead, I got a Superformance GT40 replica, and just built a 1200hp LS for it. Then, I started working on a low buck, cheap and easy to build track car.
@@adamr9215 Hey, that sounds awesome 👍 I almost brought a gt40 kit 😆 I would love to build a track car aswell 🤣 to many ideas, not enough funds 😂 what did you pick as the cheep tack car? Mx5? 😎 Thanks for your comment 👍
my two cents: I've seen a few buggies that run a complete truck powertrain mounted backwards with the trans/transfer case forward, (you just have to flip your differentials upside down so the wheels turn the right direction) that will give you the option to run the LS with any trans/transfer case option you want. Looking forward to see what you make of this build.
A diesel trophy truck would be really cool. Depending on how you build the engine you can have better mileage too. I would love to see a DIY baja truck rolling coal through the desert, but In the end its your Truck bro!
Definitely love the diesel engine idea it's not done in the professional off-road racing scene. I'm such a fan of diesel engines in general, I honestly am confused as to why that is! You can gear these to run the speed gas engines run in races. Why a 5.9 Cummins? I personally am a Ford 7.3 powerstroke fan, but I would no doubt love a diesel trophy truck build regardless of which engine was chosen!
About the transmission, you can look for a porsche g50. Those are almost bulletproof and will be much affordable than the mendeola one. Also a lot of aftermarket support for the g50
That non drive-by-wire throttle body could be worth some money. Enjoy watching a garage build trophy truck! How many TTs are built in million dollar shops..almost all?
Maybe look into STI 6 speed drive train. I know stock sti tranns can handle up to 700 ft lbs of Torque. Ive seen guys push them even further. You can get a Sequential set up as well. You can pick up a new trans for a little 2k and get full drive train(front axels, drive shafts, hubs) for right around 5k. Im not sure if it would even work for a rear engine truck but it definitely would for a front engine. I know a guy that is currently in the process of LS swapping his righhand drive swapped WRX. A company in Australia makes an adaptor plate for the LS to bolt right up to sti 6 speed. Im sure whatever you pick is going to be awesome. A little input with the 5.9 cummins. You definitely can make them fast but you could make double the hp in LS platform for half of what it would cost with any Diesel platform. Happy building
even before you started scratching the motor options off the board I want either LS or the Cummings , would be awesome to see this beast at like 2000hp burning coal
Maybe rear mount the engine with the Trans facing forward between the seats. Into a transfer case use what would be the fwd output to actually drive the rear wheels with a shaft running back under or beside the oil pan. Find a gear drive t case and flip the diffs 180 to correct the drive direction.
I don't know if this will help or not, but have you thought about Quafe racing components when it comes to differentials and what not, now they are tried and tested on racing cars, anyway its just a thought for you. Keep up the great work, 🇬🇧
Hey Vasily, it's Ryan, check out the transmission from a 70s Toronado, and Eldorado. It's basically a turbo 400 for front wheel drive, which could be real interesting and affordable for a rear engine setup. I think it's called a th425.
If you are considering a cummins why not a big block chevorlet still lighter than a cummins and all the torque and horsepower you could ever want.. awesome build brother im watching every episode..
I would personally love a DIESEL engine build! I love the 99-03 Ford 7.3 Powerstroke. You could also run a Detroit diesel 2 stroke, which would be awesome. An 8V-71 twin turbo'd runnin a supercharger on it because it came with 1. Now that Detroit diesel is a rabbit hole to fall into once you realize your modification model is almost limitless😂😊.
From a $200 Chinese buggy to a custom V8 trophy truck in a year, great progress, can't wait to watch this build

Me too 👍
I just finished my chassis for my V12 build. I am impressed by the tube fabrication skills this guy has 😍
honored to be one of the first to sit and watch this amazing process for free! God's work my man
A Corvette Transaxle would set you up well, especially since it's independent suspension. The frame looks tough, and a bit mean just as is so far.
Man you have come a long way, keep going.
This is gonna be EPIC
I can’t wait to see this thing complete, now to get Rather B Welding to build one with a v8
Cool can’t wait to see next video awesome

I would recommend suspenions seats for this build. PRP are solid seats, comfortable and you can find them used in good shape for decent prices.
I would recommend a 4 link set up as well.
@@tylerg4450He is going independent suspension front and rear, so it’s not going to have a 4 link in the rear.

K24 and or a Toyota 5vzfe/3.4L supercharged. Both solid combos. Gear ratio is everything. They will push a tire easy.
