Love that hotel but it is going down hill

I have reservations to stay here and have booked the Empyrean Club package but have a few questions. The website mentions a separate check in desk. Is that located in the main lobby? Also, what time are the evening hors d'oeuvres served? We are interested in possibly having a light dinner at Catch 31 but would love be to seated near the fire pit area. Is it possible to make that request? Thank you.
