- It is hotel month here at Trvln_Thru - a made up observance where each spring we catch up on posting reviews of hotels we have stayed in that we haven't gotten around to posting yet. In this episode, we visit a new(ish) hotel that just opened a year ago on the Virginia Beach oceanfront. We will give you a full tour of Embassy Suites by Hilton -Virginia Beach Oceanfront. This hotel is the latest addition to the Historic Cavalier Resort, also featuring one of Virginia Beach's most luxurious hotels, the Cavalier, as well as an oceanfront Marriott hotel. We will show you our suite at the Embassy Suites, as well as the restaurants, activities and amenities you can find at this hotel. And along the way, we will tell you what we thought about the experience.

The seating area around the pool looks so pretty and I like the seats in the pool too. How relaxing and fun! Room rates look very decent for being close to beautiful Virginia Beach. The nicest hotel I ever stayed at by a beach while my late hubby and I waited for our home to be built in Dana Point, CA was at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort - and guess who else was s guest there? Tom Cruise! I could see you and Jack covering that resort bc you both do such a fantastic job covering hotels, resorts and theme parks. 🙌🏼♥️ Have a fantastic rest of the weekend sweet friends. WOW! This beachfront hotel is so nice with all it amenities. That pool is gorgeous. The food looked really good.

Very nice hotel!! The room was very welcoming and had a really nice shower. I also like how they have a reception so you can enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks. The pool also looked like a great place to hang out, but too bad the weather wasn't quite ready for you.
The complimentary breakfast looked much better than what most hotels offer. That was a pretty nice looking omelet.

Not sure if I told you this in your last Cavalier video. But I played with Ron Moody and the Centaurs in the early 1980’s. And we played at the top of the “new” Cavalier Hotel - which I believe now may be a Marriott property. I’ve always loved Virginia Beach and especially the Cavalier Hotel. Thanks for keeping us up to date!

I liked that the rooms had balconies too - even if yours didn't have a full ocean view, it still looked like you could catch a glimpse. Have a fantastic day!

Beautiful hotel, wow! Beautiful beach too. Love the reception with drinks and snacks. (Jack, 'Skip to the Loo' made me cringe!!! ha ha ). The room is huge and has everything. Food looked great. Lovely hotel, thanks for showing us around!

Love "swanky" hotels, Alice and Jack! The "Motel 6's" count, right? 🤣🤣 This looks like a nice one and it was a nice view of the water. Lovely room too. All joking aside we have stayed at Embassy Suites before and enjoyed them. As Tolle mentions they have a great included Happy Hour's and breakfasts! Enjoyed the review and tour. Food looked great as did the pools! Thanks for bringing us along.

Very nice reception! I liked the art! This is a big room! Those fries look amazing! I’m always Leary of free breakfast in the US, but it looks good! Really pretty seating area!
The free breakfast here was definitely well above the average hotel free breakfast. And the free evening reception was completely unexpected - but it was wonderful. I loved the art at this hotel. And the food. And the location right on the beach was perfect. Our whole stay here was great. Thanks for watching - and for taking the time to comment!

We need to get fancy like you guys. Our family is usually a Holiday Inn Express. First your view is way better. I still remember when Business Centers were the popular area when you had to go to one to get internet.
Jack’s rum and coke is more my speed. Those charging port lamps are key. I also bring a huge power strip so Incan charge all my gear. Dinner prices there are way cheaper than Chicago. Great tour.
A power strip is a great idea! We run out of charging ports fast at some hotels. The view definitely was the best part of this stay. We already can’t wait to get back to the beach this summer. Thanks for watching and commenting!

The food at the Embassy suites restaurant, Arbuckles, is 5 out of 10 scale. Nothing great, nothing bad. Just fairly expensive offerings. You would better off crossing Pacific Ave and dining at the Cavalier, or walk half a block to a restaurant called "Eats." The food there is great.
