    It is the replica of grabbing things on the shelves , cabinets etc. Real life. This is what functional training is all. Not iron pumping to inflate balloons.
    If an exercise is not functional , I don’t do it. At 60 years old, I have no one to impress. Just be functional
    Peace ✌️

    A lot of good info here that culminates in a real life capability. It may take a while to stretch into it though .

    You should consider a progression of hip opening exercises to help 95% of the Western Male population. We think we need even taller toilets 🚽 because our hips are so tight. That was the equivalent of a master level Yoga 🧘‍♀️ instructor telling beginner students “fold your body up to fit in this Box 📦 “

      Just learning to squat properly will correct most of that. The factor that would come in then is probably damage to the knees the cumulative abuse of being obese and lethargic.

      @@AKlover oh no…that’s not my case I’m 6’2” 190 lb and stay a consistent 10% body fat with Visible 6 pack year round. Tight hips and mobility is nothing my coaches from Track and Basketball put a priority. Then a knotted up PSOAS also is part of the recipe to go “ass to grass” MW exercises are legit when focusing on waist up strength and mobility. I can now do sets of 3 per side 40lb Turkish get up because of this channel. Now I would like hip mobility

      @@andrelong2506 Get A "Drop Toilet" I doubt you realize what percentage of the world drops A "Deuce" while in A full squat, even the elderly. They don't seem to have hip issues.

      @@AKlover 😂😂😂 that’s part of my current stretch routine “Drop Toilet 🚽 “ no lie I use that potty squat foot elevator and twist, turn and reach for the sky. I’m super regular now too!

    Amazing how much I feel this in my abs. Also amazing how often I forget to squeeze my glutes at the top.

    You need to make a shirt that says, "If it's not sexy, you shouldn't do it."

    Can this not be done with a kettlebell held goblet style (horns up, or even bell up)? For more effect (seeing as KBs are generally heavier than maces/clubs)...?

    • @andrelong2506
      @andrelong2506 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes …there’s a version he has on site where you drop ATG first then curl the kettlebell up to chest stand-up drop ATG again then let the kettbell down rinse and repeat

      @@andrelong2506 Yeah, the goblet squat-curl variation...I know....however, that is still mainly a single-plane movement...by mimicking the pushing movement shown with the mace/club (i.e. moving the KB closer & further away from the chest in that sitting position), i think more of the core would be activated, as this would now be a biplanar movement.
      Anyway..........
