I put the 13 ounce fww on my yz250 and had to bend the clutch actuator arm also. This caused the cable to rub the cable housing when using the clutch which caused it to fray pretty badly. You may want to check the lower end of the cable every 20 hours or so.
@@sean.g4516 no, take out your spark plug and put the rope inside, rotate your motor and when the piston comes up the rope wont let it rotate any more, it won't hurt anything, once done ,just rotate the crank backwards a little and take the rope out
the X should have this from stock!! I never understood why they made a supposed Woods Bike and didn't add this. I put a 9oz on my yz250, completely changed how it rode. I could motor across wet Rock and Roots and not even spin. I also added the G2 throttle, I recommend it. I had to bend the Clutch Cable out just a bit as well. I used a Piston Lock up Tool to make the install easier.
Yeah I got a 9oz now, like it better than the 11, I got the 11oz to tame the beast, but after couple good rides noticed I needed more pwr and got the 9oz and really love it,also changed the gearing to 13/49,makes a big difference in the woods
I have a 13oz on my yz I noticed recently my ignition cover started melting and I think the weight kinda backed itself out a little but upon inspection it looks fine and tight anyone had this issue?
🤔Is it the original cover? I know with aftermarket covers you need a thicker gasket, I rode the bike for 4months no issues, now I have a 9oz and love it
Hi friend, could you help, I want to manufacture a flywheel but I'm not sure if it's fixed only from the inside or if the plate touches the magnet thanks
OK ,yes it goes over the existing oem stator/flywheel, it just adds more weight for more rotational mass helping with the stalls and mellowing the power down the more weight you put. If you are going to manufacture one, I would take the existing oem flywheel measure it,weight It and go from there, make sure the timing tabs are also included and same positions. The oem plate doesn't touch the magnets, the stator is stationary and the flywheel rotates from the crankshaft end. Hope I helped a little
@@thumbgas888 Thank you for the return, I understand how it works, I want to manufacture it due to import costs, the question is whether the flywheel is completely inside the magnet? or just the threaded tip
@@thumbgas888 My English is not very good, sorry I'm from Brazil, my doubt is very simple, the flywheel wheight is fixed to the steering wheel ok but the question is whether it completely rests on the steering wheel, or only the tip of the axle, could you give me how to measure the flyweel weight 11 oz.
I'll tell you the truth,I didn't check that with stock bars, the flexx bars takes out a lot of the vibrations, but did it change the bike behavior, big time.
Actually I take that back,I did try it without the flexx bars but I can't recall if it did a difference in vibration or not,I know the flexx bars took out the vibration by at least 60%,no more hand numbness, but that's just me

Was always wondering about these, can’t wait to hear your review on it.
I can't wait to ride it!

Thanx 4 the heads up👊🏾😎
Can’t wait to see what you think about the flywheel weight. Hope that it makes it easier to ride ,and smoother too.
Planning in riding it 2morrow, I can't wait and feel how it rides!!, will review it 4sure, so stay tuned!!
Can you explain what you did with the rope inside there? Is it tied to something holding something inside ?@@thumbgas888

yamaha yz250 weights size 11oz?

I have a 13oz on mine and it rubbed the stock cover. Had to grind it. I have a after market cover and had to use a spacer.

@@RiverMotosI understand no problem 311.845 g =11oz, the flywheel is bolted to the end of the crankshaft
Did the stock cover go back on over top of all that

good video, what was the rope for?
Stop the piston on top so the engine doesn't rotate
@@thumbgas888how do I do this
@@DBolt-xb7sg use a nylon thin rope put it through the spark plug hole, like I did in the vid
