- The #f14tomcat debut as a precision strike-fighter came in 1999 with #nato Operation Allied Force in Kosovo.
On this episode, retired #usnavy rear admiral Dell “Snapper” Bull, a #tomcat RIO who deployed with VF-14 aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt from March-September 1999, recalls combat experiences from this short but intense conflict.
It's awesome to have gotten these stories archived for posterity, these Tomcasts do a great service. Thank you Sirs!
You're welcome!
I‘m from Kosovo and that time was really difficult for me and my family. I‘m very thankful for all international effort and contribution in mantaining the peace. Without it Kosovo could have ended like Libya, Syria, etc(10+ years war).

This was a great episode. It brought back some good memories for me because I was in VF-14 in 1999 during this cruise as an AE2.
I was born in Kosovo, Salute from the 56 FW
Guys, one of your best shows yet.
Wow, what a GREAT show. Thanks again guys. BZ
Nice video , except for the fact the whole Kosovo conflict was engineered by Clinton administration…the Navy pilots did what they were asked to do, but it was a low point in US foreign policy.
Thank you,as a Serbian,we appreciate it.Take care brother
Great guest and interview!
That was AWESOME. He was very informative and interesting.
😎
Hello, I have listened all ypu postcast, one time Crunch said that after a merge on dogfight he pulled 6 Gs, I would like to know at what speed the F-14 can pull 6Gs (indicated air speed) thanks, Glad to hear you guys
Love these stories.

i think its Spain, Greece or France...
France sometimes coordinates the bombings with the Serbians...
As an Albanian whose parents are from Kosovo and whose favorite plane is the Tomcat I greatly enjoyed this episode! Thank you for making this!
i named my son Tom because of the f14
These kind of episodes just show what an amazing job Heatblur did with the DCS F-14. The mask symbology won't come up until you're in range, you fly the GBU-16 ballistically until 10 seconds to impact. You lase the 24 continuesly, it's just incredible how it all lines up.
Really enjoyed this pod cast. Thanks 👍👍
Great episode! The white dove story was one in a million!
How.about some new interviews instead of reposting? Although I’m guessing it’s harder to find new material
Working on a season 2 but don't hold your breath.
48:11 What did hornets had that was horrible? sorry, inaudible for me.
He said "T-FLIR" and meant this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN/AAS-38
