It's late November 2024, and not only does the app screen share horizontally or vertically, but it is possible to start sound on the mobile and have it come out of the speakers on the computer. It is fabulous! - Thank you Adrian for your excellent video!
First thing I checked was the year the video was posted. I then proceeded to reviewing the comments which i found helpful. I gave it a go-ahead since mirror casting wirelessly lags a lot. And then boom this works amazing 😍. Thanks a lot. You've earned one more follower.
By the way if it works at the first time but doesn't at the second (unless you restart the pc) it is because the adb driver, you don't have to restart just open task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and end "adb.exe (32 bit)" task.

When I click on build number 7 times, the mobile phone says 'no need, you are already the developer'. However, the USB debugging option does not show up.

Works great! It's by far the easiest way to mirror. Tried Samsung Dex and it just doesn't work using zoom in and out. The built-in Windows 10 mirroring is okay but mostly useless. Thanks!
I have a question. I have Xfinity accounts. Inte6, TV VOiP and a separate Wireless account. I have the Xfinity streaming app on my android. How do I stream to my PC media player via USB on those occasions when there is an outage of internet service? 2nd,how can I transfer my movies I have saved or downloaded to my PC and where do I save them? Im on a zFlip 5. The main inside display broke and I cant see or touch the screen. So I got an adapter to get usb debugging on. The USB setting is set to file transfer and everything. Whenever I type in the .exe in my search bar, the application immediately crashes. I'm not sure whats wrong

Hey brother! Everything worked fine on my end, except when I tried to go on streaming services like Netflix or Paramount Plus. The audio and subtitles mirrored perfectly but the video only played from my phone. Is there something I need to do on my end so I can watch my shows?

It says that "Windows Smartscreen will prevent scrcpy from running" because it's a unrecognized app. So what do I do now, does that mean it's not compatible? I'm running windows 8.1 which is the worst one.

It depends on whether your phone can do USBC to HDMI out.

In that case, you don't need to use my method. Because it only mirrors the mirrors the Android screen.

Likely Windows 8 is incompatible... though I didn't see any compatibility list on the website.

i installed scrcpy but on windows11 i downloaded it but, extracted it but it just dont starts. from exe file .
It won't start till you connect the phone in Developer mode.
