By the way if it works at the first time but doesn't at the second (unless you restart the pc) it is because the adb driver, you don't have to restart just open task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and end "adb.exe (32 bit)" task.

When I click on build number 7 times, the mobile phone says 'no need, you are already the developer'. However, the USB debugging option does not show up.

It says that "Windows Smartscreen will prevent scrcpy from running" because it's a unrecognized app. So what do I do now, does that mean it's not compatible? I'm running windows 8.1 which is the worst one.

Im on a zFlip 5. The main inside display broke and I cant see or touch the screen. So I got an adapter to get usb debugging on. The USB setting is set to file transfer and everything. Whenever I type in the .exe in my search bar, the application immediately crashes. I'm not sure whats wrong

Works great! It's by far the easiest way to mirror. Tried Samsung Dex and it just doesn't work using zoom in and out. The built-in Windows 10 mirroring is okay but mostly useless. Thanks!

Likely Windows 8 is incompatible... though I didn't see any compatibility list on the website.

In that case, you don't need to use my method. Because it only mirrors the mirrors the Android screen.

Get a phone with magnetic wireless charging feature and stick a wireless power bank at the back.
once u allowe debugging, the app on mobile phone will not broadcast and will request to switch off the debugging

I already did the usb debugging but for some reason there is no video for netflix( casting from phone to laptop) audio and subtitles are there though.

Followed all the steps but when I try to open scrcpy.exe the box pops up and then disappears immediately. I don't know how to fix it :(
When that happens, I will turn Off and On USB Debugging on my phone, and it will work again.
