Glad to see you talking about this. Saw way too many people defending this online when it's obviously just another Wish type of thing, it's ridiculous how many times things repeat themselves with nobody learning.

I work in a warehouse for a package delivery service and I can verifiably say that Temu sucks. I have yet to see a single bag that doesn’t look like it was packed and taped by a 5 year old child. They also use bags that are WAAAAY too small so the package feels like a pillow that’s about to blow up, which it does in some cases. They also pack the hangers in as well but the bags are too small. It’s like trying to stuff the last hotdog into sandwich bag but it won’t fit so you have to put the hotdog in diagonally, and even then it barely fits. I don’t know why I used a hot dog as my analogy, I’m just hungry
I swear every 6 months, a new sketchy shopping app comes out that takes social media by storm. And every 6 months, we have to remind people to not carelessly share your credit card information with said companies.
I never have trusted companies with this kind of cheap stuff. Temu is just another way OF creators can make a quick buck *cough cough* really outplay *cough cough* horny dudes and that’s about it.
I took a picture of one of the ads that should a switch being $7 and posted it on Facebook and Instagram to warn people that they are just going to get scammed and get a bootleg console instead
Canada Post employee here. We get thousands of these packages and nothing else in a span of 4 hours. It surpassed all other brands such as ones like Amazon and wish in the span of 5 days. It's definitely alarming
This app/site literally came out of nowhere. Saw Turkey Tom promote this in his EDP video. Sad that after betterhelp and established titles large content creators still can’t be bothered to research their sponsors.
Seriously They have teams that help them edit and write/share content. The least they could do was take 20 minutes to find out who's asking them to promote stuff.
As much as I wish it were real, there's no way in any world that nintendo is going to allow anyone, not even themselves, to sell a switch for 7 dollars.
fr, like I tried the flash sale for a month its such a scam. No one has recorded proof of it working, so I think that its all just a big scheme. I think today's gonna be the last day I try before I just delete the app altogether tbh.
@mattwolf7698 I mean they could, but what are the chances of multiple people, possibly hundreds to be doing that let alone one person, seeing as how the 7 dollar switch sale is the main AD I keep seeing, suggesting that they have multiple switches being sold at that price consistently
I placed 1 order with TEMU. The same day my card got charged for $90 from a random company I've never heard of. They're either a scam or have no security. Then they denied they're responsible for my card info getting out.
The second I saw the ads I decided to stay far, far away from Temu. Those prices raised my eyebrows - even if I got the product, I could smell malware radiating off of it
I told my sister they most likely use child and slave labor and her response was literally "not my problem". At least Temu is reminding me y i dont talk to certain family members. Thats priceless
@@justhere4637 genocide I'd wager That's not the half of it... even if you don't buy from them, YOU are subsidizing their shipping with your taxes because they cheat and say they are a "developing country" yeah... Developing novel corona
Omg I'm so glad I'm not the only one. The minute I started getting aggressive ads from Temu, I knew it was bullshit. I had already questioned the site just from the shitty ads but the minute I saw how a number of TH-camrs were already being sponsored by them and the mass amount of ads, it was over... its just another Wish and Ali Express...
And those referral system that basically turn all people into ad machine, is also their most effective "weapon" to further increase their reach and popularity I found comment section on various popular instagram posts that is flooded with those who desperately want to get a free item from Temu, and it's so annoying for most people seeing it
@kiwikemist There are even some serious companies using it as their official storefronts, like Gulikit and KZ, which is kinda wild to me. Also getting electronic components from there is the best thing you can do, if you have time and don't need the top-notch quality. Some of the most reliable servos and ICs come from there.
I can't search for one item of clothing online without Temu advertisements taking up 70% of the results, and the rest being Shein. I'd never heard of it until a couple of days ago and now it's everywhere.
Hey ebay is actually useful! I'm able to get fancy clothes there used. (Cheeper than buying thr 60+ dollar ridiculously priced things) Craigslist though? You're right.
Temu is pretty good, just don’t buy anything expensive since their packaging is pretty bad. Don’t know why they do SO much scam advertisements. Surprised that it’s not banned.
Agree about Craigslist, but ebay is awesome for many reasons, including being able to buy stuff used (sort of a worldwide garage sale), being able to find rare things that wouldn't otherwise be available in my home town, providing competition for the dwindling sources of goods (read: Walmart and Amazon), and being a way for people to make a few bucks from occasional sales or even run a full-fledged business. There's a reason it's stuck around for nearly 30 years.
Its what we Icelanders never figured out. We never managed to understand why as a country Iceland is so expensive. So we and everyone else kept saying ´quantity, not quality´and ´a society of cheap, not expensive´ and we kept repeating things over and over, over and over, over and over until you no longer felt you were living in the real world.
Just a fun fact, Ping DuoDuo (parent company of Temu) has a well-known reputation of having cheap unbranded (shitty counterfeit) products in China, as compared to sites like AliBaba, JD, TaoBao, etc. (basically Chinese online marketplace that usually got bigger brand deals locally)
There was an "event" for the launch of Germany where if you got 50 people to join and make a 10 dollar purchase each, limit of 7 switches available and you don't even know until you do all of the steps (was over in a day but didn't tell people) do you get a "Switch"
My first interaction with Temu was an ad on a video. The very obvious Chinese Engrish was a a red flag for me. Then the earbuds they were advertising PLUS the fact they were obviously a Chinese company made me go, “Nah. I’m pretty sure I’ll get what I pay for with those.” Nice to know I was in the right to ignore them.
this might sound terrible but im gonna say it anyway because it's true, i don't trust any company or brand that uses terrible Engrish to promote something. that, and text to speech.
@@AVI-lh6rm that would only sound terrible if it wasn’t good advice. If you’re going to advertise something to me in English, just use someone who actually speaks English and isn’t obviously using Google Translate, either

man, i work in a rural usps warehouse and these things are always such a massive headache. since we're rural we don't have delivery drivers, so we have to actually store our parcels on shelves for people to physically come and pick up, and these things are impossible to store or stack unless it's an ultra-rare cardboard box, of which i've only seen two in the hundreds of flimsy eye-bleeding orange plastic bags they all come in. even then the quality of the packaging is somehow worse than amazon.

i dont get how people could feel comfortable giving their credit card info to the most untrustworthy sketchy sites of all time. do they not have any concept of security??
You severely underestimate how quickly logic and rational thoughts fly out the window in the face of overwhelming greed. People are out here salivating at the idea of getting Switch's for $7 so hard that they can't see anything but money signs. It won't last long. It never does. But it's a nice payday for the show runners while it does.
Some of my relatives recently tried to get me to download Temu so they could get some store credit whatever on there. I straight-up told them no and then had to watch other relatives give in to the Temu users being "insufferable unskippable pop-up ads" (quote from another comment). It's disgusting, maddening, and GUESS WHAT IMMA SAY IT it's dangerous. The fact that they're TikTok users doesn't help anything either. Haha and to think that the people warning others about shady software are falling into the traps themselves. "You were supposed to destroy the Sith, not join them!"
I couldn't differentiate TEMU or Shien from Alibaba, Ali Express, or WISH. They're all the same. In fact, it was not long after I heard the Chinese government broke up Aliexpress & Alibaba's parent company (because the CEO said something that made the government mad) that TEMU suddenly appeared.
Imo you're wrong there. AE isn't the same as Temu. Yes, like Temu, there are sellers that promise the world for 3 Dollars. But on AE there are a lot of good sellers that sell quality stuff. Do your research before buying and question after a certain price point whether or not it's better to buy it in your country.
Honestly thank you for making this video because these websites and apps are becoming really scary and when you try to describe it to your elders they don’t take it seriously but this video they will take seriously thank you
I've ordered all sorts of things from them, and usually the products are good quality, but idk how much longer I want to keep using it after seeing these videos.
Aliexpress isn't bad if you don't mind buying from China but it's basically all going into the shipping. But shipping the stuff properly and understanding the word Fragile is a basic service even budget shopping sites can satisfy.
Aliexpress can sell things cheaper because shipping from China to America and other countries is free or basically free because of the universal postal union. With that said I buy a lot of FPV stuff and electronics/smd compenents just general super nerd shit and I buy from them all the time because the U.S. sellers are buying from them too so it's damned if you damned if you don't might as well get the much cheaper prices.
yea if you know how to shop and what quality to expect from what price ranges you can find OK deals if you don’t mind waiting on shipping (like u said that’s basically all u pay for)
My friend loves TEMU but she only buys things that would be cheap anyways like pins, and dice. If you are expecting a switch for 7 dollars you might be the problem lmao
Yes! The people complaining about Temu are the people who actually think they’re buying a MacBook Air for $10 lmao, some people need to read descriptions on products before purchasing
Yeah I buy dice from there, cuz most metal dice are just dropshipped for like 30-40 quid anyway. I use a 1 time disposable card and stuff and when using sites like that, and if nothing comes from the site im not too bothered because im half expecting that when i buy. Prices are rly similar to aliexpress with better shipping that ive seen.
This is a whole new age; The Age of Expensive, the longest age in the history of humankind on Earth. Never have things been this expensive. Therefore the key to living in the Age of Expensive, is to adapt to the changes and embrace capitalism and free markets. During the Age of Expensive, things remain expensive not for a few years, not for a few months, but for decades, for centuries, for thousands of years. During the Age of Expensive anything imaginable is expensive - from a car to a caramel. Things are expensive in the Age of Expensive, because every species in the entire animal kingdom has a period known as its longest age. Expensive airplanes, expensive cars, expensive computers. So that means voting people who support that you can have the money required to buy all these expensive items. This means refuse to vote those who are against disabled people or the elderly, refuse to do businesses with companies which advertise cheap trash meant to be sold as successful products.
Thank god I'm not the only one. "Shop like a billionaire." Like, wow, not even trying to hide the shameless materialism. Ever since I first saw one of their ads, I immediately realized something was off. My intuition told me something was wrong.
OK, can you explain this to me? I'm on the spectrum, and it always baffles me when marketing appears to utilize the kind of thinking that's stereotypically attributed to people like me. Maybe you can help me be at peace about this one. I saw an ad for it once and immediately deemed it to be a scam, because anyone who pretends that people are stupid enough to think that buying cheap junk from China is how billionaires shop is not to be trusted. How is "shop like a billionaire" not inherently offensive? Maybe you can help me understand this. I live closer to a billionaire lifestyle and have nicer than average electronics because I buy everything used and below market value, and buy high end stuff from 3-10 years ago (slightly older high end electronics almost always outperform even modern midrange devices). For example, I got a Pioneer XR-P770F for 15 dollars recently and used some old speakers I have in storage. I used to work for a moving company, so I know firsthand that me having that means I actually have nicer audio setup than a lot of millionaires. There are so many more examples like that in my life. 15 dollar Chromecast Audio, new in box at a rummage sale. Look that up on ebay to see what that was actually worth. THAT'S "shopping like a billionaire" on a budget. Shopping on Temu is "shopping like a naive poor person who forgot thrift stores exist". I'm poor, but I have much nicer sound, TV, computers, etc etc than almost all my friends making much more. Websites like this mislead people into thinking that rich people buy lots of cheap trash. It's so strange when you consider how well the marketing worked. How the heck am I the only one deeply offended by the "shop like a billionaire" thing?
"Malicious behaviors include keep-alive, deception, anti-uninstallation, and attack and infection." Sounds less like an app and more like a creepypasta demon....
I've got a theory that these apps/sites/sellers may actually be serving a bigger purpose: inundation, absolutely overwhelming the shipping/postal/delivery capabilities of the target to distract attention from other shit. You're inspecting USPS packages for 8 hours, and 13 out of 9 parcels coming past you on the conveyor is this poorly packaged trash: Temu, Wish, Shein, etc. You're a lot less likely to catch other items that are less conspicuous.
If it's a brand new company that is trying to enter a niche which is already oversaturated, they'll resort to very shady tactics, as you can see with temu
I've shopped on TEMU quite a bit and have come to learn a few things. 1. Don't buy large electronics. Most are shit quality knockoffs. Now I did find a nice pair of Lenovo ear pods but they were over $20. 2. Clothing is also shit and will fall apart after several washes. 3. For things like fishing lures, outdoor items, etc., it is actually not to bad. The lures aren't quite the same quality but prices are low enough to sacrifice a bit of quality as long as they still work(which they do). And finally, YES, shipping is so much faster than wish.
That's all wonderful news. Let me go ahead and give this app access to my phone, wifi, and financial information so I can save tens of cents on almost decent fishing lures.
Yeah, my experience with the shipping wad pretty good actually. My over package and experience was alright, but i don't know, I still don't really trust it. Their marketing is so aggressive and predatory! It's probably one of the most egregious in terms of constant spamming you with notifications and stuff. 😅 🤨
"Connects you directly to the manufacturer in China" That's all I gotta hear. Fraud isn't a felony in China, the worst you get is a fine, and if you get sued you just move all your money out of your account and don't have to pay. On top of that, as long as what you deliver is SOMEWHAT resembling what you ordered, there's no case for fraud anyways and you'll lose the suit.
Honestly I don't have much to complain about. A lot of their ads are scammy looking or false advertising but I got 6 free items for buying 4 things. Complaints were the flimsiest headset stand you could ever imagine and 2/3 pairs of pants were basically had the insulation of a Halloween costume
@@Rosskles yeah I only spent $40, was really skeptical at first and they delayed the package the first time but afterwards it showed up within a week and a half.
I'm mixed because my co-worker introduced me to this site, and both him, my boss lady and myself have gotten everything we ordered. No huge shipping fees either. It's been nice to get a few little anime goodies I haven't been able to find elsewhere and ones that don't rip my little wallet to shreds. Even the clothes are solid too. I don't mind the packaging so much, everything has arrived unbroken and it great condition. I got no complaints, but I do understand to be careful with them.
Same. With the exception of one delayed order, I've gotten everything either on time or quicker and no real complaints about the merch. I've bought three pairs of shoes that all fit well and look good. I refuse to give them my cc or bank info. PayPal only.
as someone who watched a different video on TEMU, I can say that TEMU gets users by making mobile-game esque things where you get a _chance_ at getting a discount on something. There's also giving people discounts but requiring them to get an unknown amount of phones to download the app using their referral code. Said previous video about TEMU showed a clip from either a youtube short or a tik-tok where someone got a Nintendo Switch for like $5 (doesn't specify, assume USD) from TEMU. Also something else is that if your item is late by even like a day you get $5 in store credit or $13 if it's the faster shipping option
I truly feel like pulling my hair out by the immense flood of advertising I see from Temu. I also partake in online focus groups, one of them being Respondent. Multiple times Temu had falsely labeled a product test in a very short amount of time for a incentive of about $200 for participants. Very out of the ordinary.
Thank you! I thought I was the only one who noticed the blatant false advertising free money. When it first came out big, I got an invite from a friend that never spams links on social media. I'm pretty tech privy myself but the invite literally just said "Download temu - I just sent you a $100 gift card" and I was very broke at the time. So I downloaded it, low and behold no gift card no credits toward buying anything off their store, nothing, so I deleted it. Pretty much every temu invite since then has been very similar claiming "free $50" or whatever. And this has been happening for weeks, yet I didn't even know it was an online store like wish until I saw right now watching this video. I just thought it was one of those survey site type things that was big about 9-10 years ago (do a bunch of surveys in exchange for a gift card). Why is no one else talking about this? Very deceptive advertising
Absolutely. They also say stuff like "5 free items!" Or stuff like that and once you're at cart it's different. There's only a cart too! There's no wishlist or list bookmarking only placing stuff in the cart! What in the world?! I guess to make you try and buy more. 🤨
I've ordered a few times. It's honestly just good for cheap stuff like crafts and trinkets, and you can get free things. It just takes a ridiculous amount of referrals.
@@ceoatcrystalsoft4942 Lol, most cheap plastic things are imported from other places you clown. I doubt me buying 2 dollar stickers is gonna take anyone's job.
I am in Technology, but also a crafter. So many Crafting companies in the U.S., Canada, and Europe have had their designs stolen and resold on the app. Their products have been found to contain high amounts of led. And like you explained the security issues...I am sharing this far and wide. People stop. Don't even download the app. Don't give them your life and your money.
Ever since I saw the first ad about Temu, alarms were sounding off in my head immediately and knew it was just another scam/shady site from the word go. It honestly surprises me, and does not surprise me at the same time that an app like this has gotten so much advertisement everywhere, and it is honestly disappointing that is has been able to get so much advertisement to begin with. Just almost every video I watch on TH-cam has some kind of advertisement for Temu, and it is honestly just so sad.
That device shown at the beginning is originally known as a Theragun (aka massage gun) and is used in solely therapeutic settings. It's pretty powerful and trying to use it in a naughty way would likely be very painful.
Always good stuff Muta. The international postal service based in Switzerland regards China as a developing country and so grants shipping subsidies paid by other wealthier members.
The US is trying to get a law passed to classify China as a developed country so they can stop taking advantage of benefits meant for poor and struggling nations....
Honestly, I've bought a lot of clothes off of Temu and it's all been legit. Good quality too, but maybe I'm just good at filtering out the BS. Temu has been legit for me. My phone's been fine with the app, haven't noticed any issues. Maybe there's something I'm not aware of.
That all said, I don't store any payment information on the app and I do my best to keep it locked down from having permissions. That doesn't mean much, maybe, but I never store payment info in apps anyway.
Can second this. Bought some basic stuff ie chair covers, desk organiser. If you look at it like a "cheap stuff I want even cheaper" store, it seems to work.
I'd make sure they don't have lead in them. Similar companies like Shein were caught having lead content in their clothing that was above US regulations, and this was present even in the clothing for children in amounts that could be lethal for a child.
While watching this video, i got an ad that featured a plus sized female wearing a sundress saying "TEMU IS REAL". Their ads and the TH-cam ad algorithm are predatory
Honestly this is something that's really similar we have over here in Southeast Asia. Shopee is a similar service, it's really the main website itself that belongs to the company while the products being sold are really just from other sellers out there, and of course we also have the classic cheap chinese products being sold everywhere in mass production for really good prices. You'll probably get something that's usable, but to expect it to be at the same quality as original products is just wishful thinking.
Our household has made at least 10 orders, all have arrived before their expected delivery date. It’s funny, people on the internet worried about a business “stealing their info”….they already have it 😂.
Long time viewer! Been here since the creepypasta and haunted gaming days and I believe that because so much manufacturing happens in china, there may be a ton of excess supply. And with businesses being so competitive nowadays the prices get so incredibly low to compensate for the increased amount of business; that could explain a 10$ washer or dryer perhaps. Also, because China has such a dense population, the worker to factory ratio could also explain such a high level of production. Which raises huge concerns for health and safety across the board. Not cool.
I had two highschool kids come up to me asking me to download Temu for their highschool "marketting project" i was incredibly suspicious when i heard they wanted me to download an app but doubly so when they said to download Temu which I already figured was a chinese spyware app. I have no idea whether Temu themselves are promoting this very aggressive ad campaigns or if this was legitimate. Seeing this I'm glad I didn't download it.
Temu is great for smaller stuff in my experience. The jewelry was better than I expected. The beanies I got were as well. And all of it was insanely cheap. Not to mention how the shipping was free. If you need a lot of small shit then there is no better alternative that is this simple.
Part of the "excitement" of Temu is supposedly flash sales where it's first-come, first-served. Seems to me that world be a great way to peddle poorly made or fake/offbrand products in a way that people are pressured into buying before they have time to verify what it is that's actually being sold.
I usually use TEMU for shit you would buy for under $5, like stickers or stationary. If you're buying Nintendo Switches for $10, you should really know better.
FR, same for me, stickers, socks, flip flops, stationery items, storage containers... all stuff you can buy at a local shop, same quality and probably same factories (made in china), the only difference is the price. Obviously at the store it's going to cost more

Take care and hey your videos are loved! Keep up the good work and Hmm… ya I’m not so sure about this Temu thing….
I first heard of Temu when I was search the googs for Lego alternativs. The sets they advertised looked OK and seemed reasonably priced (i.e. not suspiciously low) but since this was only a search to make myself aware of alternative brands I didnt buy any of them. But since then I keep getting ads from Temu for $7 Nintendo Switches and $10 Airpods, and I dont trust them now.
tbh ive ordered from temu a couple times and the products (mostly plushies) were shockingly good quality and most of the plushies could pass as legit, they don't at all look like the cheap knockoffs they are.
Same here but with some clothes and also decent quality. End of the day with these kind of websites and apps from china it's partially on the user to not be scammed.
ive gotten a couple of things from temu, u get what u pay for but a couple things r useful. other than that the whole “free stuff” is a scam but the things they sell are decent
Agreed, I bought this cyberpunk-esque helmet that lights up and a few other electronics from Temu. They use SpeedX to ship their products. And that is the most stressful part given how damn unreliable it is. As others said, everything is dumped into an orange bag, with some items padded, and then shipped. Luckily my stuff wasn't damaged, but you get what you pay for.
I tried it for the first time earlier this month and got a pretty sweet cinnamoroll umbrella for 11 something and Rilakkuma and Korillakuma plushies that are pretty nice for 2 something each. Learning about the forced labour thing makes me REALLY SUSPICIOUS of their clothes and electronics though... a dress for 2 dollars rarely comes from somewhere good and lasts past one wear or washing.
@@roman1x74 actually believe it or not the free shit isnt actually a scam. you invite people (which theres a whole reddit for people to accept your invites) then you get whatever you was trying to get whether its 30$ or some free items. although its basically rigged like a carnival game because it was give you good luck at first and a bunch of extra coins at first but youll slowly start getting less and less coins, or you will flip 2 cards and get the item and have 2 more cards left over lmao. overall its a decent app to buy and sell from imo
Honestly. My issue with them was when they were trying to sign creators on to do ads for them. A lot of us signed on, had an agreed upon initial post amount of 1,000 dollars. Plus bonuses for every 100k views. After working on those ads for about 4 days, they send us all a request to cancel. What was there reasoning you may ask? That they wanted to go with mukbang creators. Moreso, I had to refuse the request to cancel twice before they actually gave me a reason. Then they sent me an email a week later wanting me to do an ad. I rejected it
Good take imo, you didn't say people shouldn't use it, and didn't say it was a scam, but stating how you feel about it based on the information you have. I agree with ya
I will say i bought a few things to try them out and havent had issues...yet. I bought a really nice sweater for $16 and its been washed a couple of times now and the quality is still very nice
It makes me so mad when influencers try to defend buying from these sites by claiming “some people can’t afford ethically sourced/name brand clothes”. You know who also can’t afford quality items? The factory workers for temu/shein/wish. And buying from these sites directly increases the demand for cheap labor from impoverished people. It’s not suddenly ethical to exploit someone else because you can’t afford name brand products
Funny enough I’ve noticed a bunch of those stands at the mall reselling items from Temu. I got my girlfriend these plushies she liked and they’re actually good quality and all. Weeks later we go to the mall and see stands of a bunch of the plushies and fuzzy house shoes from Temu.
It’s honestly not terrible when it comes to ordering certain plushies. Don’t get me wrong though, some of the unofficial stuff looks like it was at a flea market (such as the Pokémon plushies) but I ordered about 6 plushies and they all looked as good as they were advertised. Packaging was average but the products came unscathed. You won’t see me buying stuff like electronics from this app though, mostly good for smaller stuff
Yea I agree I bought some things and they was good of course when it comes to electronics I won't trust I but the cute things like plushies and stuff was ok also shipping was free for me maybe cuz I'm at the US not Canada
The fact anyone buys anything from this app/site is astonishing. Everything about it just oozes sketchy, data harvesting, malware, identity theft, scammy, junk. Plushies? Just because you order harmless products, doesn't mean the platform itself is harmless. Stay far away from Temu. It's sketchy AF.

I ordered of temu since I got the get 6 free items if you purchase 4 coupon and from my experience, most of the products on the site are not what they are advertised most being crappy quality, but there are some genuinely good items on the site. One good thing from the site is the refund policy like I ordered a mini-vacuum and it was defective so I requested a refund and they gave me my money back and told me to keep the item. I think if you do order from temu just keep in mind quality control isn't their priority, their advertising is and to treat it just like wish with very and I mean very low expectations.
Thanks for this video, a coworker introduced it to me and I was skeptical of it as well. I did give it a chance but its promotions and offers come with conditions where it wants you to further spread its name like a plague. I poked around with android emulators and several throwaway accounts but some of the shared links don't actually count towards the total. The mini games are extremely predatory as any person with half a brain can tell that the 'lucky winner!' prompts from a supposed rng is staged just like every single other offer mini game that the shop offers. Temu also tends to hide certain results when using certain deals in order to prevent you from using coupons on certain products. Overall, the market is quite small in comparison to other services such as aliexpress which leaves much to be desired. This video was honestly the last straw for me keeping this app on my device, potential malware and virus like behaviours is an immediate go in my books.
This is hilarious. The very first TH-cam video I saw with a Temu sponsorship had me commenting "I can't wait to see the SOG video on this one" And look where we are.
I'm fairly convinced that these are all using the same giant e-commerce retailers. The same products, in a different store/app. It's not a bad idea to treat all of these as "just another AliExpress", right? Edit: Temu having security risks definitely is a valid exception. It's better to treat this as yet another e-Commerce retailer, but very shady/unsafe inner workings
I got stuff from temu, i even had the untamed chibi figurines for free The packaging is weird but the items were perfect except for 2 items i got I dont expect much but i am surprised that they actually gave me items with no shipping cost and fast delivery, and promising items

Said previous video about TEMU showed a clip from either a youtube short or a tik-tok where someone got a Nintendo Switch for like $5 (doesn't specify, assume USD) from TEMU. Also something else is that if your item is late by even like a day you get $5 in store credit or $13 if it's the faster shipping option

Always good stuff Muta. The international postal service based in Switzerland regards China as a developing country and so grants shipping subsidies paid by other wealthier members.
The US is trying to get a law passed to classify China as a developed country so they can stop taking advantage of benefits meant for poor and struggling nations....
If an app is featured in ads, I don't bother checking twice. Any "watch ad for X" is a great way to learn about what you should be avoiding lmao
A company that has bots advertise on TikTok using burner accounts instead of actual advertising alone is shady enough.
Me too!
same !!
I'd make sure they don't have lead in them. Similar companies like Shein were caught having lead content in their clothing that was above US regulations, and this was present even in the clothing for children in amounts that could be lethal for a child.
Muta: *Explains that you can't get rid of the app*
Also Muta: If it does this get rid of it.
He ment that you cannot get rid of a shady app from the internet world but you can get rid of it from your personal phone...
@@RandomSwiftie13 I think you missed the "keep-alive" bit...
The only way is to stay away, then we might have a chance at completely nullifying it...
While watching this video, i got an ad that featured a plus sized female wearing a sundress saying "TEMU IS REAL". Their ads and the TH-cam ad algorithm are predatory
temu is just a great example of the easiest ways to identify a scam: if it sounds/looks too good to be true, it is.
Sounds kinda like a place that advertises what vendors sell. The main store acts like a go-between to connect vendors and consumers~
the fact they got ronaldo to make an add for them
I work at ups, as far as temu, those boxes never show up square, they look like squished oranges and they are always covered in like 5 pounds of tape
Even if they are legit, i don't think id ever feel safe sharing address or other personal details on something this shady.
Our household has made at least 10 orders, all have arrived before their expected delivery date. It’s funny, people on the internet worried about a business “stealing their info”….they already have it 😂.
Im more worried that if the info gets out to people who want to use it for even worse things
Good job man
They're were probably in a process trying to get a 7$ Switch lmao. But seriously, props to you for not giving in.
Temu is great for smaller stuff in my experience. The jewelry was better than I expected. The beanies I got were as well. And all of it was insanely cheap. Not to mention how the shipping was free. If you need a lot of small shit then there is no better alternative that is this simple.
How about you just don’t buy a bunch of clutter and junk?
@@willissudweeks1050ne mans trash is anothers treasure.

@@willissudweeks1050Wait, I bet they'll come up with some promo link or something...
Part of the "excitement" of Temu is supposedly flash sales where it's first-come, first-served. Seems to me that world be a great way to peddle poorly made or fake/offbrand products in a way that people are pressured into buying before they have time to verify what it is that's actually being sold.
But Flash is Dead. The new equivalent of that is HTML5 Sales.
I usually use TEMU for shit you would buy for under $5, like stickers or stationary. If you're buying Nintendo Switches for $10, you should really know better.
Fr
FR, same for me, stickers, socks, flip flops, stationery items, storage containers... all stuff you can buy at a local shop, same quality and probably same factories (made in china), the only difference is the price. Obviously at the store it's going to cost more
Hey Mutahar! You should try putting a few bass wall traps and sound suppression stuff on your walls of this content room! I hear your voice bouncing and reverbing off the walls. It’s not bad just something I thot of during this video. Could be a fun project. And also might make your mic sound better and could even reduce input gain on the voice mic!
For a second I thought it said "I Don't Trust Reimu" & was wondering if Muta somehow got in contact with some crazy shrine in some village in Japan.
To be fair I wouldn’t trust her either, too gungho to do her job.
I see this ad all the time i’m glad someone finally covered it
It’s honestly not terrible when it comes to ordering certain plushies.

How can u not trust Temu? They sell high quality 18k headphones for $1.25! How is nobody buying their product?
Okay, but have you actually bought the headphones?

Im glad someone is making a video about them. They seem so obviously sketchy.
This is hilarious. The very first TH-cam video I saw with a Temu sponsorship had me commenting "I can't wait to see the SOG video on this one"
And look where we are.
I got stuff from temu, i even had the untamed chibi figurines for free
The packaging is weird but the items were perfect except for 2 items i got
I dont expect much but i am surprised that they actually gave me items with no shipping cost and fast delivery, and promising items
