I have dry skin and this is how this foundation works for me. I do the first layer with a flat foundation brush and if i need any additional product i then go in with a beauty blender. I found if i use a blender for the whole thing i use 3 or 4 pumps to get the coverage i want. With the brush then the blender i use 2. Plus this way makes it look more flawless and not cakey or patchy.

I dont wear make up much(I had skin issues until late 20s were I couldn't wear make up so I am used to not wearing), but I love using your videos to help me apply it when I decide too. Skin issues don't mean you can't wear makeup, they mean you need to take care of your skin. Not using the right skin care products will harm your skin more than makeup ever could.n

I'm at the other end of the spectrum and I don't have a shade for my very fair skin either. Medium tones have the vast majority of shades with every brand.
I love the foundation for me it looks amazoing
@@Acminy in that case you have to buy foundations from Korea or Greece, where traditionally only fair to light skin tones have a rich variety of shades to choose from. I live in Greece, I'm a medium skin tone with very yellow-ish to ochre undertones and I finally found out that only NYX caters suitable shades for me in here.

Hey Nikkia! Have you ever tried not setting your foundations with powder? I’m hella oily, like you could fry an egg on my face but one day by mistake I didn’t use setting powder with my revlon colorstay foundation and oh my god, it lasted longer than it would have with powder and looked smooth and not cakey at all. I honestly don’t get how or why but now i’ve stopped setting my foundation. Absolute game changer for me 💞🤷🏼♀️
I stopped setting too! My makeup lasts much longer and looks much better without using powder. I only set the areas where I'll be applying contour and highlight.

Hi Nikkia. Please do a recent skin care routine please please. After using all your tips I can still not get my foundation to look as smooth as yours maybe that’s skincare related. Please also list all products u use. Ever since u have been watching you I got all dermalogica products u recommend and my skin looks 100 times better. Thank u
The only way to get your skin to be smooth and healthy is to take care of it. High end skin care: double cleansing, exfoliating daily, serums, toners, masks, peels, sprays, etc. And not using your hands for cleansing. You need a clarisonic. Drug store skin care does not have good quality ingredients so it's best to avoid it like the plague. Makeup only looks as good as the canvas you apply it to, so your skin needs to be your main focus.

Nayely De La Cruz I use this as a primer! Adds a bit of coverage and controls oil, even if the foundation on top isn’t super matteifying :)

I like it but it’s almost too matte for me so I have to use a hydrating primer or mix it with another foundation! Then again I’m more combo so it might work better for you. Also the shade range is horrible lol

Same here! I wouldn't miss her videos, even though our skin types are different. But we do both have medium yellow undertones, so if the color looks good on Nikkia it will almost certainly look good on me!

My skin has been going crazy back and forth with oily as hell or super dry and this foundation has been a GODSEND. Love it so much. My shade is just always sold out 😍🥰😭😭😭

I can’t say it will for sure on your skin but it does wonders for mine. My best face would be to go get a sample from Sephora and test it for a few days. That’s what I did before I bought it.

I have a solidly neutral undertone. In the winter I'm pretty fair, but when I get sun I can get "as brown as a bean" as one of my mother's high school friends says. I've been shocked at how rough it's been to find foundation that really matches my skin tone without breaking the bank. Obviously when I spend the money, I can get a variety of shades that work. But makeup is definitely a luxury, not a neccessary item 😢. I think no matter what makeup companies do, some consumers will still be left out and feel unhappy.

I have super oily skin and I actually bought it! Works really well with my Lancome and Estee Lauder foundation but not with my Laura Mercier. Try a tester at Sephora before purchasing but it works great for me :)

I’m impressed on how great your eye makeup looks after all that time .... did you reapply it? I have trouble keeping mine on all day.
Of course she didn't reapply it. That would defeat the purpose of a wear test. Plus the goal is to have makeup that you never need to reapply during the day. People really don't do that anymore because it's not necessary.
Shelby Lynne - this isn’t a wear test on eye makeup - its on the foundation. I was just curious to know if she had touched up her eye makeup at the end of the day as mine never looks the same after its been on for 12 hours.
Great video. This is the most favorable review of this foundation I have seen so far. Did you use the crease proof MAC concealer again and what setting powder did you use? Also is your eye look from the Naked Cherry palette? Its beautiful! Does anyone know if Kat Von D is discontinuing her Lock It Powder foundation??? I can't find my shade anywhere and I hit pan 😟 Anyone got a suggestion for a replacement or dupe??
I used Tarte Shape Tape❤️ I have no idea about the lock it powder foundation sorry! I’ve never tried that one! I’m testing lots of powder foundations at the minute - trying to find some that work really well🙌🏼
I‘m using the phyto teint eclat powder foundation from Sisley and it’s sooooo good! I know it’s very expensive but it also lasts ~7-8 months if you apply it every day. And I have less breakouts since I used it.
@@pupperoni1500 Thank you! I will definitely look it up. I use Double Wear as my foundation but put the Kat Von D powder on top for extra coverage. I have been using it for years and am really bummed I can't find it or any info about it either
Rebecca Webb that’s exactly what I did when my acne was really bad and I needed more coverage! Double wear and Sisley powder. They have another powder so make sure you get the right one. It’s the one in the red package. Would love to see if you like it!

Hi Nikkia 😚💕 I love your foundation reviews and I‘m happy this one worked out so well. If you can get your hands on it, would you consider trying out stuff from Sisley? I know it’s soooo expensive but I‘ve been using their „phyto Teint eclat Compact“ as Setting powder over a light/medium coverage foundation and it was honestly like photoshopping your face 😱 so I would love to see your thoughts on that.
