I do not have the issue that other people complain about where gestures feel choppy using third party launchers. There's been a couple occasions where on a specific device gestures will turn off or stop working. Happened to my LG Wing on Android 13 in my 60 on Android 10 but otherwise I just don't notice any problem.
Unfortunately xiaomi breaks animation and recent app feature if you're using third party launcher. I mean, they really put essential functionality in their bloat apps.

My issue with the stock One UI launcher is that it doesn't support folders in folders. Nova Launcher does that. So, that's why I don't use the One UI launcher on my Samsung phone.
I do miss OnePlus I had a 6t and loved it but I had to try a pixel phone. Missing the Nexus phone. Surprised that pixel phones aren't great at changing icons etc.
I've been a Niagara user for the past 3 or so years, love it. Changed my phone recently to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and I managed a convoluted work around for gesture navigations bc I refused to not have my niagara setup working lol
sold s24 for iphone 15 pro max few months ago and its just so much better in usa since so much convenient to communicate with people you know guys its like what 95% people have iphone thats how i see haha

Another thing I couldn't do was to place the KWGT widgets overlapping in the same space. When I try to drag one widget over another, the one below goes to the other's available space. ► Does anyone know how to solve this?

Yes, Nova and other launchers support some APIs to help improve the animations. But these APIs are only supported for certain popular phones like some of the latest Samsung and Google phones. And not everyone owns a device from those manufacturers. So just because you have a good 'butter" experience on the S23U, does not mean that someone else with a different device will have the same buter experience. That's the point of this video 👍

It's not really something you can replicate to the exact, however Muzei Live Wallpaper does allow you to blur, dim, and gray out the wallpaper on just the home screen so you can get a similar effect
