- The Princess of Wales has revealed what it is like to be in her shoes, as she hosted a picnic for schoolchildren at the Chelsea Flower Show for school children.
When asked what it is like being a princess, Her Royal Highness said: "You have to work hard." Kate also received flowers from one of the children attending and promised: "I'll plant them in my home, when I get home with my kiddies."

When she accepted the flower from the girl, she got up on her feet and crouched down to meet the girl's eye level, and thanked her. It always does make me smile how wonderful and genuine a human being Catherine is.

We are so blessed to have Prince William and Princess Catherine. They give faultless and unstinting service and allow us to glimpse their joyful and fulfilling family life. They are a great compliment to the King and Queen without any competitiveness in their behaviour. Yes, she dresses how she is told to, but how does wearing yellow (not her colour in my opinion) or anything else the RF does improve the lives of all people? They must do something, right. We don't pay them all that money to just attend events organised by their PR department, after all, but what do they do? Do you think just seeing them is enough? Should we be content with just being able to admire and worship them without being greedy and asking for more. There is no question that my life improves just a little every time I see a story about the royals. They gave brought me immeasurable joy and entertainment, but how have they improved your life? I think too many of us are afraid to discuss the contributions the royals have made to the betterment of our personal lives and circumstances for fear of embarrassing them, but we should not be afraid of giving credit where its due and expressing our well earned gratitude. I think that while it is obvious that the royals prefer to work without the glare of publicity, and would never sing their own praises, they would nonetheless benefit from acknowledgement of all they have done to us. Its high time we make an effort to provide personal testimonies of how they have impacted our lives. Would you be kind enough to start the ball rolling and tell us how they have improved your life?

When the little girl asked what it is like being a princess, Catherine began with, “Well, you have to work hard . . .” As though it is a career that the little girl could aspire to like any other. This indicates such an awareness of “the other” that many of the royal family accept and embrace. A good example for us all.
She showed real humility and respect when she stood up to receive that gift and then to say she's going to plant it at home with her kiddies, must have made that girl's day! So inspiring
