Each provider has own price, and it can be different in 50-100$, you need to contact with SSTB and check what the price of the exam there, and compare with online options (iSQI, ASTQB), all of them are legit, so from official point of view it is the same, just money are different

Hi Premium Waale, unfortunately distribution of the book is against the rules, I can't help here. I recommend to discuss opportunity to buy the book in your organization, or discuss opportunity to buy with colleagues.
Also, based on the students feedback, I can tell you that 50% of my students didn't read a book. Syllabus was enough for them. I recommend to read syllabus at least, and if 2018 version of the book is not available for you, then find version for 2011, third edition. And read chapter 4 ONLY there. It will help you to understand test techniques. important DO NOT READ other chapters from the "old" third edition, the newest theory has a lot of differences, except the chapter 4.

Current papers are fine, old papers are outdated, I don't recommend to prepare with those

whats the difference between CTFL and ISEB ? foundation level testing exams? is the syllabus different for both ?
Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL)
ISEB is Information System Examination Board (which is now known as BCS - British Computer Society) which helps in conducting the examinations like ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Certification.
So CTFL - name of the exam, ISEB - organization where you can pass the exam
why in some countries there are not 2nd try? And can you please tell the difference between American (ASTQB)and iSQI . thank you

Hi there, I have heard of many people who have passed the exam without reading the book. But I have personally read the book, and it is difficult for me to answer some questions without reading it. In the syllabus is very limited and superficial information, I think you need a lot of luck if to pass the exam reading only the syllabus)

depends on provider, but I didn't have this option on my side, it was cruel, especially for questions related to the chapter 4

ASTQB also doesn't allow to use pen but they provide a virtual textbook

Read Syllabus, and try to resolve the exam samples for the start, it is good way of starting the preparation)
