      Well unfortunately I had to sell it about a year ago, now for off-roading we have the 4x4 Tacoma that’s been in the newer videos.

    Fun outing, thanks for sharing. How did the temps work out on the radiator replacement? Big bear was cooler. I'm still looking to do the same swap on our 86. My B2 with a new motor still will run hot. We have a few nice OHV here in Central Oregon. Still working on getting my over heat issues resolved. If you do lift yours, what would you be looking at.

      Oh the cooling system works great, stayed nice and cool that whole trip. It got us to Utah and back in September last year with that set up so it’s super solid, I definitely recommend that radiator, if I were to do it again I might get a more name brand/powerful fan just for peace of mind but it’s doing the job. I had been looking at the James duff lift kits pretty seriously, like the 3in stage 1.5 I think was the one I saw that looked pretty good for what I’m doing. I bet there are some good trails out there. Thanks for watching!

    Need that 3.5 inch James duff lift on your bronco 2. I have an 89 b2 with that lift stock fenders with 33x12.5 no rub at all. It's a nice kit, little pricey but it's engineered for b2.

    • @tackettgarage4982
      @tackettgarage4982  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I had my eye on that kit, but ended up moving in a different direction for our 4x4/off-roading in a later video. But I believe the people who have it now did get a duff kit from my recommendation.

      @@tackettgarage4982 its nice kit. I went to 4 wheel parts and they basically told me they didn't wanna sell me a lift kit that they were garbage. That's how I got turned onto James duff. I wish I knew how to send you a pick of my b2, it doesn't give me an option to send a pic. Super clean 89 auto, 4x4, 98k orignal miles, original paint, just a solid little truck. I have nowhere to take it thats relatively close. I wanna do a motor swap with the 302 just all about finding one.

    • @tackettgarage4982
      @tackettgarage4982  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I had read some really good things about James duff in a Facebook group so it seemed like they were the go to for sure. 302 swap would really change the game in a b2. From what I have read the hard parts seemed to be fitting it with the hvac box on a ac equipped trucks, and finding what manifold will fit nice. Plus all the little stuff. If you were to want to send me a photo best way would be to check out my Instagram @tackettgarage . And you can send a message on there.

    Where did you get your headlights?

    • @tackettgarage4982
      @tackettgarage4982  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ordered them on Amazon, if you check out our other video called explorer headlights and prerunner bumper on the bronco 2 it has the link in the description and you can see more details about the install and everything. I also used led headlight bulbs.

      It was on it when I got it but if you look it up on google there is a company that will pop up that makes the fenders like 500 for a pair

    How are the headlights would you recommend them? Are those the black with clear lenses?

    • @tackettgarage4982
      @tackettgarage4982  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the black housing with clear lenses. They put out way more light than the stock beat up housings I had for sure. And they seem decently made. And personally I really liked the look and they did get some compliments.

      Yeah it’s definitely worth a trip out, just watch out for the brush on the sides of the trails if you have nice paint.
