Square Readers have the option to log your cash sales also 🥰 and they can email receipts to customers, it’s worth having a receipt book too, but I find that a lot of people don’t want receipts 🤷🏼♀️
I just found this out with my reader yesterday in prep for my market this weekend!
You can also log all your stock and pricing into Square too or manually enter prices.

Make a quick crochet tie or bowtie or lapel flower! It's cute, on theme and small and won't boil you in the Melbourne weather!

I’m selling for the first time at a little pop up table in December. This video is so helpful for me to see your experience!
Make sure you set up your square reader and have a play BEFORE the event lol, you don't need the stress of trying to set up the reader the morning of!
Honestly make more leggy froggys. People go feral for them at my markets in NZ haha. I flicked you a message on insta too. I am happy to answer any weird little questions you might have on markets!

Maybe even consider having a ledger you can write down your sales whether it be cash or square. That way at the end of the day with this being your first market you can double check your figures that way you know that your numbers balance compared to what square is saying you brought in card wise.

I've been watching a few market prep videos lately and everywhere people say bring a friend/family member to help with set up/pack down, then they can help watch the stall with you if you need to use the toilet, grab food, do a sneaky shop yourself.
There's a printing company located in Melbourne I believe called Sustainable Printing Co and they make posters, flyers, business cards, stickers, etc from recycled materials. Might be something you're interested in?
Also be careful of little hands! Touching the dolls with food on fingers, potentially dropping them, damaging them or straight up trying to run off with something small. Oh and parents trying to barter your prices down! Good luck my dude! 🧶✌️
I'm thinking I'll bring some handsanitiser and ask people to use it before they touch any dolls - I'd be horrified if any get damaged from the little ones :')

If you have PayPal, you can also generate a QR code for your customers to pay directly to your PayPal account without sharing your email address. I believe this should be possible for you, not just here in Germany.

I never mind seeing people sitting down, that's never turned me off from buying something, but I rarely stop if the owner is just sitting on their phone not even trying to pay attention to potential customers
Also I'd definitely make a decent amount of the Pikachu plushies. Idk about there but here in the states those would be the first ones to go

@@crochetmezaddy I haven't seen them come after people for stuff like that, here in the states at least. Almost every con I've been to where someone has crochet they've had a ton of pokemon plushies!
