    hey there hobbit burg here, have a 150 on Crickhollow and a lvl50 on Angmar, 2 fun things i learned about the target circle...1. The runes that are inside the target circle say "the one that is chosen" 2. The runes always appear around the backside of the NPC or mob selected when it is not in combat. This makes it much easier for those using positional damage skills, mainly Burglars, to figure out where to strike on amorphous creatures such as Grims. Once the target enters combat, it’ll show the red reticule with text around the front of the mob. enjoy!

    Okay just for people onto the newer mmos who don't understand cc. Root = lock in place, cannot move, can take range action. Daze = standard mez, cannot move or take actions, breaks upon ANY damage instantly. Stun = paralyze, cannot move, or take actions, does not break upon damage. Fellowship maneuver = stun, it's just a stun. Snare = slow, reduction of movement speed, can still move and take action. Fear = soft cc, target loses control and runs around, cannot take action and moves sporadically, breaks upon taking damage, with some exceptions (3 seconds after taking damage)

    Oooo! I could imagine the River Hobbit as a great race class for Burglars! As per your question about Hunters, Hunters can make campfires and they do heal other players but I'm not entirely sure if they do allow what you're suggesting. My main character is a Hobbit Hunter. She's traited in Red, Bow Master, and she can't run while firing a bow. That's the blue line and generally recommended for beginners. Yellow is considered a more advanced trait but many players go for the red for more damage dealing in raids. Yellow is also meant more for aoe and distance attack while hidden. So, if campfires do that then it'll most likely be in the yellow trait tree.

    Hello! Just getting into LOTRO, and wanted to ask about burg leveling.
    I love the flavor of burglar, but I worry that it looks like a ton of work and setup for regular leveling (kill 10 rats quests, etc.).
    How is burg for solo landscape stuff while leveling? Do you stealth, sneak, ambush, debuff regular mobs, or is that playstyle mostly for dungeons and group targets?

    • @VoiceoftheRings
      @VoiceoftheRings  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I don't have a whole lot of problem just running around killing quests You don't always have to be in stealth to start the kill. So it's pretty similar to like leveling another melee class. But the whole idea of stealth and extra damage etc is definitely the most used for poles and in dungeons. Then as well as player versus monster player mode. It's pretty big in the PVMP. I personally think it's a very fun class to play. But if you're looking for a range class that can just bop things when you see them. Then might want to go for that, with RK or Hunter etc. But I don't think you'll have any problems doing solo questing leveling with a burglar

    My first few days in LOTRO , your teaching style is similar to how I teach my apprentices over the years , clear and easy to understand with out any waffling or BS. Tried hunter and champion for a few levels but liking the Burglar so will use this guide to help me along the way , what could possibly go wrong ummmmm . So much to learn but will be fun I hope. Thank you for all your hard work that goes into making these awesome guides.

    Hello there! When I had started this game 11 years ago, I realised that every trait tree on each class representing a hero from movies and books.If the topic is burglar in this video I can say that blue branch is Bilbo Baggins who likes gambling for his life. Red line is Merry and Pippin in my opinion. Some skills from red reminds me sometimes Pip sometimes Merry. At last yellow line is definately Gollum. Each skills is like copy of him.
    So far SSG hasn't messed up this class yet like hunter, captain, lore master. Lets see how it goes on future!

    • @VoiceoftheRings
      @VoiceoftheRings  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Awesome comments! Except the messing up class part I don't think they messed up any of those classes they're all really fun and still feel like they did when I started the game 17 years ago.

      @@VoiceoftheRings Wow 17 years! salute you mate :)
      I said messed up because I fell in love this game when I had realised it wasnt an regular MMORPG game. Every class was made well thought. For example a Lore Master was using some magical skills and you were losing small amount of morale each time. It was so make sense because in Tolkien world magic does not use by lightly. It had to be cost like that. Also when blue captain were using healing skills they were losing small amount of morale as well. Except one skill for blue captain called ''Reform the Lines''. So I asked myself why this skill cost too much self-morale. Then I saw Theoden King sees Haradrim army attack at the third movie. He yells ''Reform the Lines''. Then he dies couple of mins later. So it was all make sense putting that skill at the bottom of the blue branch. He was giving entire fellowship huge heals in return he loses half of his morale. Something like that. So every skill had a backround like this. It was absolutely amazing for me. But now captain class is like a cartoon character. Do heal, do damage, whatever you do it costs nothing like a machine.
      Also when Mordor and SSG came at first time they destroyed blue hunter. I guess they didnt see why blue hunter was faster than red line. They didnt understand Blue hunter is Legolas and red hunter is Bard the bowman. So they swapped all fast skills to red and made blue line survival for questing. If I had a power I would make yellow line utility branch. Blue and red lines should be equal dmg. All aoe skills like split shot and rain of arrows must be at the bottom of blue branch. So ppl when play with red cannot reach these special skills. And heartseeker and upshot must be at the bottom of red line. Also I would remove stances. When ppl picks red line character should go auto strength stance and at blue line char goes precision stance asap.
      Anyway I have thousands of ideas like that. Sorry for long comment :) Take care

      @@Luinr Blue line is excellent for leveling and survivability. With the gambles causing so much dmg/heal/debuff over time, it's the best for landscape and for solo instances, delvings, etc. Don't forget to keep using Cash Out as you're able (gives a heal over time (consumes the green gamble) as well as stunning your target (consumes the blue gamble), as you can then reapply and stack up your red (dmg), green (heal return when damaging), and blue (miss chance, attack speed, enemy damage debuff) to keep up your over time events. I totally love the blue line burg, and it's a shame that so many players overlook it!

    is blue the spec to go for this?
    ill prob solo alot, including harder group stuff

    • @VoiceoftheRings
      @VoiceoftheRings  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you want the whole feeling like Bilbo. Then burglar. If you want to be like in their face taking a lot of damage. Guardian. And beorning is very fun if you want to be a bear. Yes I think blue line could work for solo. The Red Lion seems to be the best for just a lot of damage whatever you're doing. It's hard to recommend a certain class without knowing what you feel like playing. There are a lot less burglars out there. They are pretty fun.

    How is burglar in end game top tier support or otherwise? Because im returning and want to start a new char to learn the new stuff. Last time I played max was 65 etc. I also want the option of entering the hardcore side of the game so just wondering about viability and desirability.

    • @VoiceoftheRings
      @VoiceoftheRings  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Burglar is pretty good end game. They mainly good for DPS class. If you start a new toon welcome to join us on crickhollow server! I think burglar is fine for end game stuff. Most classes handle pretty good now end game from alot of updates they have done. And burglars can still have some pretty good CC effects for end game content. Even though at this time fellowship maneuvers still don't scale up. But hey, it's still a good CC and it's a little heal. But the burgs damage is fantastic from what I see.

    I've been having fun watching your gameplay for some time now and I was thinking about taking the plunge and signing up for LOTRO myself, but I hear that it doesn't work on newer Macs. • @VoiceoftheRings
      @VoiceoftheRings  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well, I have not heard that myself. Unless Mac has introduced something that blocks it. I know Mac has been doubling down on the only programs they want on the system. But since lotro is free to download and play. I would most definitely try it first. You might need a Windows emulator on your Mac. I know my one friend uses that for other games. But I don't use Mac myself so hard to tell you exactly the details. I'm so glad you like the videos!
