There is an even easier way to skip mendez fight and it works on professional since it doesn't rely on autosave. All you need to do is get yourself to the left side of the merchant, position yourself to be parallel towards him, with your back against the wall, crouch, and while walking backwards press the interact button and cancel, do it a few times and you can get out of bound and skip the fight.
I have been playing video games my whole life. It was only when I actually was on my second playthrough of this game and I threw a grenade out of curiosity and found the bridge lever skip for myself, I was like "I've done it. I'm a gamer now."
You can also rifle scope the door instead of the crouching trick skipping the recking ball area. You can also rifle scope the door in the castle when you first meet salazar, skipping the prison and Garrador section. You can also scope down and back into most walls to de aggro and avoid attacks. It can be used a couple times when waiting for the key cards in the regenerador area. It can also be used in the cabin apparently but have never tried it.
Most of the things mentioned on this video are useless for S+ runs. S+ can ONLY be achieved with a NEW GAME. So hitting the bell is incredibly difficult without the rifle in the village area. Autosave on the Mendez part would also be impossible. Using the RPG on multiple spots as you did is also unrealistic, as the infinite RPG costs 2 million pesetas, which is only achievable at the end of the game. And even the normal RPG costs too much to purchase it more than twice in a single run, since you have to buy other things too. And the glitches can be patched, and are typically very difficult for average players to be able to do.
yo can shoot one rocket at the damaged wall and the first hit of the wrecking ball after it will destroy it. also you can shoot the giant slaazar staute, back with a rocket launcher too
Another general strategy is to play the game on assisted mode long enough to make enough money to buy the infinite rocket launcher. Then NG+ runs become laughably easy even on Professional. Pretty much all boss fights are over in one second. The village fight? Over in about 30 seconds (just stay at the entrance and let the horde come at you and massacre them, and the bell rings in no time). Almost all the iron grating doors (sun/moon switches) in the castle can be opened from inside by firing a rocket through the grating on the floor right outside - the explosion is so strong it destroys the weight holding the door down. No need to fumble around with carefully aiming your handgun like at 4:32. It's surprising then that with such a powerful weapon, some enemies like the verdugo, or the later regeneradors actually take two or three shots to finally go down...
For the double door skip I noticed that aiming/lowering the weapon (aka: on pc, clicking and releasing right mouse button) helps a lot with giving more clip to Leon, this making the skip easier to pull off. Also, I found it easier to perform with the high preciosion scope; for some reason the thermal scope seems to make it harder as far as my experience goes
Oh, so, one thing that I had happen in my game is I used the RPG on the unarmored Gigante in the double fight; apparently I did it right when they popped in because the RPG hit both of them and killed them both. So no need to wait for Luis. I wouldn't call it a skip, more so a happy accident.
I don't think you need "insane aim" with the handgun, since there's no bullet drop in this game. I believe it's straight up fuckin' impossible with the handgun, which makes this skip unusable for an S+ rank, given that you can't do it with any rifles or scopes from NG+.
5:11 Edit: This is for *all* platforms at the time of updating this: To not get *softlocked* during the Ashley skip, here is exactly how: 1. _After or before solving the first clock puzzle you see, do not the grab the keys or enter the elevator in the library._ 2. _Solve the first clock puzzle(assuming you know it), and head downstairs._ 3. _Getting past the knights, solving the lamps, get the salazar insignia and go all the way back up._ 4. _Going into the library, simply walk up the side door _*_without_*_ going to the either “open elevator” if you get it like I did sometimes, as the side door will be open and not remain locked, bypassing the key entirely._ 5. _Put in the insignia and you've saved Leon, skipping the earlier cutscene._ That's how to do it without a softlocking issue, and it *can* occur on pc too. The issue lies in the game design itself because you have to do it in an exact order without exploring the library for treasures because they assume you're speedrunning the game. Bad game design on this part. It encourages speedruns this way over exploration, which defeats the purpose of getting all the treasures(or if low on pesetas) if you were exploring for that, too. P.S. And I got this on my first playthrough of the game before this video accidentally without knowing this. Wow.

Had no idea about the gate skip in Chapter 14, that's a huge help! Also, regarding the rocket launcher(single use), it's much better to wait until Chapter 16 and buy it for the Saddler boss fight. All you have to do is wait until he jumps down and fire your rocket launcher at him - it's a one-hit kill. Even on Professional difficulty this works. Congrats, you just cut your playtime in the final chapter by half!

When trying to do the doorskip to skip the wrecking ball area do I have to do a quick turn as soon as Leon touches the door when walking backwards or do I have to turn manually. This is never explained and thus I haven't done the door skip successfully.
You can skip the first Garrador section by doing the scope trick before the gate to the save room and water hall. And I just wanna mention another and it's not necessarily a skip, but for those having a hard time with the Verdugo boss, don't wanna waste ammo on it or don't wanna purchase a rocket launcher for it, you can use the scope and hold it down, put your back against the elevator and Verdugo won't be able to hit you. Wait it out, and the lift will arrive.
You can also essentially skip the Garrador fight in the dungeon by using 2 bolt thrower mines. Right after you fall down, you see that gate to the hall way (with the dangly chains)? Shoot one mine right in front of that entrance on the side the Garrador is on, then shoot one a little into the hall way (far enough away from the first so they don't trip each other). The Garrador will trip the first one and stop, then trip the second and stop on his way towards Leon. If you planted said mines and then ran straight to the room you're supposed to fight it in, you have more than enough time to crank open that door and just leave. I can confirm the gate skip at Chapter 14 still works along with all of the ones in here that aren't based on the sniper rifle glitches. I will test those out today, but it looks like everything is still works
I doubt Capcom will patch most of them. They arent game breaking and the speedrunning community is already pretty invested in using them. Capcom seems to recognize the speedrun community and even added a keychain in the remake that pays hommage to the striker speed glitch from the original
also you can Add all The Skip in Boss Fight if you have or Already Unlock The Inifinite Rocket Launcher Like Bitores Mendez Fight El Gigante Fight Ramon Salazar Fight Jack Krauser Fight Osmund Saddler Fight and also you Forget too add The Skip of Verdugo Fight
I’ve tried clipping thru the chapter 14 gate and I couldn’t cuz maybe I didn’t have these settings. I guess I’ll try again with these settings also clipping thru the church to ditch Ashley would be awesome if I can manage to pull off this whole clipping thing
I just did it last night and was able to do it. It is a little difficult to pull off if the enemy just agros onto you through the sentry. Definitely not the most reliable skip, but can shave off some time if pulled off right. Definitely some luck with this one
You can skip (not really) he just won’t hit you) Verdugo boss fight Get back to the elevator after turning on the power have your back at the elevator aim with a scope to the ground while walking backward and for some reason he won’t hit you just keep running at you if he hits you once that’s ok just try again and wait for the elevator scenes
@@funmylife9248 You can also do a "not skip" in the Luis cabin fight. After entering the cabin (collect any and all items, you have some time), run upstairs and out into the balcony area. Get near the corner edge and pull out your sniper w/scope. Look down with your back to (in) the wall. Enemies will gather around you, but since your back is clipped out of bounds, they will not attack. Wait for 8-10 min and then take a step forward. This will trigger Ashley's scene since enough time has passed. Look at that, you now did it without using a single bullet or healing item and with no hassle at all. Certainly not the fastest (in fact it's the longest since you're just waiting out the timer), but by far the easiest and works on all difficulties. Since it's easy to get close to 4:30 clear times on NG Professional runs for that S+ rank even without using any skips, you have more than enough time to do this. I cannot get the wharf skip to work. Every time I run next to the brute, he just stands there looking at me like I was a massive idiot while he reloads his wristgun.
Yeah, that happens for maybe 10 seconds for me every time. I find that I need to wait there, deflect some projectiles, and then he will walk over into the sentry line
@@slenderminion2229 Huh, yeah I can see that becoming an issue. Usually he does some sort of animation like that when he enters, just firing randomly into the sky. Then he usually just stares for a moment or two and then walks into the sentry. I've heard others are having some difficulty with it, so perhaps the update tweaked the behavior of this enemy making it less consistent to pull off the skip?
I know this is for s run, but i'm gonna go standard Hardcore Professional And then easy. But first, i'm going to grind for money they get the infinite rocklauncher I know why it's not easy first because of a false impression of the difficulty that could be deadly for hardcore. The wharf skip doesn’t work because of how dumb the ai is. The brute turned the completely opposite direction of me and stood in corner not doing anything. Another time he didn’t move at all and just kept shooting me while I was in the exact spot in the video, so idk
I'm hearing some people are struggling with this as well. I have to say, this is one of the more challenging ones to pull off. It took me a few tries to even do it the first time and it is very inconsistent going through every consecutive time
@@funmylife9248 I ended up just going slowly and killing everything. The time i saved with the construction door skip saved me the trophy. Now just a victory lap in assisted with no healing. Love this game, even after the hardcore S+ BS lol.

I've done it on the Deck before about 2 weeks ago, but haven't tried since on there. If there's anyone who can try it as well and see if it still works or not, I'd appreciate it
I don't believe you can hit the bell in the Village with a pistol. I believe it is a NG+ only skip that requires either a Sniper or the Rocket Launcher. Thus even on a new game, since none of the bonus weapons are snipers or said rocket launcher, you will not have an option of shooting the bell.
Also, if doing the wrecking ball (and not doing the gate skip from before), you only need 2 Heavy Grenades to soften the wall enough for the crane to break it. Other combinations of grenades work too, but that is the least you'll need.
I don't understand why you get the better stuff for beating the game on professional with an s+ rank when if ur already that good you don't need cats ears etc average players need stuff like that to make the game easier to play in higher difficulties
That Chapter 14 skip is too difficult for me. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can only pull it off on the pc version. No problem though, the rest of these skips should be enough to get S+. Hopefully someone finds an easier, more consistent way to do this skip for console players. Until then, Iron Maiden here I come
Can you pin this? As of right now, there is no way to shoot the bell with the handgun. There's videos of people testing to see if you can reach the bell in a fresh save and it looks like the pistol doesn't have the range to reach the bell, the method exists for speedrunning after ng+
If you mean the non-glitch way of using 10 bolt thrower mines, 6 shotgun shots and a grenade (the SG shots and grenade can be done with other weapon combos, but the mines cannot be lower than 9, but 10 is best). Then yes, it is something you can do and lets you kill him (and get that eye to sell). It is a bit resource intensive to have so many mines though. If speed running, you might not have gotten enough resources to do this.

Nice video!!
Thanks a lot!
If anyone notices this and knows the answer, is selling your bonus weapons allowed on a S+ run or is that not allowed?
Amazing question. I'll try to find more about this
What is that parody song you played towards the end? Like a spoof of Bon Jovi
Its from the movie Orgazmo by Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the southpark guys)
Here's the link to the song
th-cam.com/video/851BqHMCaeM/w-d-xo.html
Ya it’s been in a lot of Trey Parker and Matt Stone movies and pretty sure in South Park episode and Team America too. So funny
Is this still working after the 1.04 patch?
Thank you!
I’ve tried clipping thru the chapter 14 gate and I couldn’t cuz maybe I didn’t have these settings. I guess I’ll try again with these settings also clipping thru the church to ditch Ashley would be awesome if I can manage to pull off this whole clipping thing
Do all of these still work or have has the devs patched some of them?
The chapter 14 door skip is officially a done dotta 💀 R.I.P. 💐 🌹 time to doo it the right way ig 😔(I'm sure huge majority of these are also)
Did they fix the wharf skip ? Been trying for a bit and no success
I just did it last night and was able to do it. It is a little difficult to pull off if the enemy just agros onto you through the sentry. Definitely not the most reliable skip, but can shave off some time if pulled off right. Definitely some luck with this one
You can skip (not really) he just won’t hit you)
Verdugo boss fight
Get back to the elevator after turning on the power have your back at the elevator aim with a scope to the ground while walking backward and for some reason he won’t hit you just keep running at you if he hits you once that’s ok just try again and wait for the elevator scenes
That's awesome! I'll have to check that one out. You still have to wait for the elevator to arrive before boarding though?
@@funmylife9248 yup a good 5 min or so until the elevator comes
Here is a video showing off the trick: th-cam.com/video/Rdvt0uG32g0/w-d-xo.html
@@blackkat101 That's awesome! Thanks for sharing the link. I'm continually impressed with the speedrunning community of RE games.
@@johnacosta8353 Awesome, good to know. Thanks for the info on the skip!
Thanks for the tip bro
Is this a PC only thing or can I do it on console/PS5?
All of the skips here in this video were taken from my PS5 gameplay. I can also verify you can do them on PC as well
@@funmylife9248 awesome, thank you!

Hopefully I'll find this video again when it comes time for me to attempt an S run on Pro Mode.

@@Chaos89P 😂Way to go!
Whenever people talk about the turret skip and say "turret" it always sounds like they are saying "turd" lol
Could you get the S+ trophy on NG+ because i got that infinite rocket launcher
Not for professional
for the ditching Ashley one you dont need a rifle to do it i was able to clip through the wall and fall down to the church while using a handgun
Good to know!
I need the guide on money and upgrade management
That's a good idea!
Appreciate it 👍😎🧟
Of course!
Im struggling on the krauser fight
He's tricky, no doubt
funny enough with the armored el giant skip and the anti airfract skip and the dynamite skip with the rocket launcher i discovered on my own oh the joys of having a infinite rocket launcher
Right? Infinite rocket launcher definitely comes in handy
But you can't use the bell skip for the S+ rank. It's common knowledge amongst everybody that it's not possible 😂
True, that's why I said that in the video 😇
Am on PS4 Chapter 14 gates skip I do the exactly same thing And it did not work I even slow Slow motion a video And try over and over and over It didn't work I waste a lot of time already not looking good for me
It works on ps5 I tested it , it took me some time to get it right, not easy for me to tell the truth. I wanted to tell they fixed this, but it still works, but it's really hard to pull this of and to get the timing right. At least for me 10 minutes was my first door glitch success.
@@funmylife9248 I'm not so lucky. He just unloads his wristgun at me, stares at me and then patiently reloads.
@@slenderminion2229 Shoot the red box in his gun
had to give a like after playing "Now you're a man" by trey parker :D
Rip that ch 14 skip gone but never forgotten😢
Really? I never got to try it. I have Xbox x does it work for that
Thanks. I was hoping there was an ashley skip
Absolutely is! Her skip is super handy
Do they still work?
Many of them do except the gate skip and the red sentry skips
I've done the castle skip with a non scoped weapon just spam aim and then mantle off the ladder
Merchant skip seems easier and then theres the ragdoll glitch 😂
😂
ty
I know this is for s run, but i'm gonna go standard Hardcore Professional And then easy. But first, i'm going to grind for money they get the infinite rocklauncher
I know why it's not easy first because of a false impression of the difficulty that could be deadly for hardcore. Like I started my new game, plus was forced humble pie Just because it was a new game plus And I had endgame weapons did not mean I could just one shot That was my mistake
That infinite rocket launcher really comes in handy!
Ain’t there no auto save in professional mode?
No
Great, I wish there was a jet ski skip, its such a bad moment of the game in professional.
Chris Redfield here
Remember to wash your hands, kids
You never know
🧟🧟♂️🧟♀️
Apparently the village fight one can only be done on New Game+, at least that’s what I’ve read.
Yes, exactly. If you're going for S+ you need to do the village attack the regular way.
just finished this dissapointed they cut mercenaries + separate ways ,they should delayed game release to add it, not have to wait for dlc.
On the plus side, U3 is coming with the dlc :D
No, your complaints are unwarranted and make no sense
Mercenaries literally comes out today bro. Go have a wank or something, gamers are the only ones who will get a fully fleshed out remake with overhauled mechanics and literally so much attention to detail and content as well as all the original content in the 2004 game yet still complain cause its not out on release 🙄
its out today
But do these work on console?
All of them
The chapter 14 skip does on console but it's hard asf
@@RealCGH Definitely a finicky one, but very much worth practicing
Here is how to do it with even a handcam showing how on the PS5: th-cam.com/video/HKUur51wD4g/w-d-xo.html
yes
Someone shows that the handgun does hit the bell but it doesnt have enough range to make it sound off
Yeah, I always try using the handgun but end up using this sniper instead because that's the only time I can hear the bell ring
@@funmylife9248 wish it were still like the OG in that detail
@@RedxDJCashpal Yeah, same here
The wharf skip doesn’t work because of how dumb the ai is. The brute turned the completely opposite direction of me and stood in corner not doing anything. Another time he didn’t move at all and just kept shooting me while I was in the exact spot in the video, so idk
Try to shoot the red box in his gun
@@luckyrice672 I did

You can’t get s+ on ng+ only through ng
Yeah, I stated that early in the video
love this video!
the crabs made me laugh out loud XD
KEEP GRINDING!!
you can't shoot the bell at all with pistol
And maybe capcom have fixed these with the mercenaries update
I can confirm that ALL skips work that are not the ones using the sniper rifle. I will try the sniper rifle tricks today and see if those work
@@funmylife9248 do the rifle skips still work?
@@itsmrmanman They do still work. Just did them last night
You cannot get an S+ rank on new game +. That makes the first “skip” irrelevant.
Yes, as I stated in the video
sanctuary approach does not work in hardcore or above. full armor and full health. rocket spam kicks my ass
@@dylandog1289 Congrats! Almost there now
If there's anyone who can either confirm or deny this, but i think the ditch Ashley at the church skip isn't working. I'm on PS5, playing the PS4 version, but it isn't working. I've done it on the Deck before about 2 weeks ago, but haven't tried since on there. If there's anyone who can try it as well and see if it still works or not, I'd appreciate it
Mendez skip still works
Yep! Everything in the game still works post patch
Yeah, I have yet to see anyone manage to shoot the bell with a handgun
@@blackkat101 Right on! Thanks for sharing that
I don't understand why you get the better stuff for beating the game on professional with an s+ rank when if ur already that good you don't need cats ears etc average players need stuff like that to make the game easier to play in higher difficulties
I get that for sure. Kinda wish those accessories were unlocked for completing other objectives, but oh well
@@funmylife9248 I expect they will eventually let u get accesss by paying real money for it
@@leeenticott8813 Yeah, at some point
Mendez skip won’t work for s+ professional
yes it does
What he shows in the vid won’t… there’s no autosave on professional
Thats why you use the merchant menu glitch instead. It is easier to pull off and you can use it on professional
no dont use a rocket on the giant please dont…
Why not? Too cruel?
.how the hell do ppl figure this shit out
Beats me!
That Chapter 14 skip is too difficult for me. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can only pull it off on the pc version.
No problem though, the rest of these skips should be enough to get S+.
Hopefully someone finds an easier, more consistent way to do this skip for console players. Until then, Iron Maiden here I come
Definitely took me a few minutes of trying, but I can confirm it does work on console. PC is much easier though
Everyone's says yea perfect trick but b.I.t...h where is ur sniper then ?
The jokes are cringe just keep it serious man
Can you pin this?
As of right now, there is no way to shoot the bell with the handgun. There's videos of people testing to see if you can reach the bell in a fresh save and it looks like the pistol doesn't have the range to reach the bell, the method exists for speedrunning after ng+
Yeah there is really no way to shoot the bell with a handgun
There is easier skip of Mendez
If you mean the non-glitch way of using 10 bolt thrower mines, 6 shotgun shots and a grenade (the SG shots and grenade can be done with other weapon combos, but the mines cannot be lower than 9, but 10 is best). Then yes, it is something you can do and lets you kill him (and get that eye to sell). It is a bit resource intensive to have so many mines though. If speed running, you might not have gotten enough resources to do this.
