- Mulund, one of the earliest planned suburbs of Mumbai and also the end of Mumbai. It’s a land of skyscrapers and gardens and is the last railway station of the Mumbai district on the central line. So what to do if you are here for a day?

One Day in Mulund
Very proud of dear Mulund. Born here, and still staying here. In 63 yrs I have watched it grow every bit. But all thanks to the town planner of Mulund who planned it's road map more than 6 decades back. What a vision that person had. Hats off 🙏
I used to be a resident of Mulund from 1980 to 98. In the early days Mulund was a quiet suburb bustling with factories like Ralliwolf, Western Ministeel, Hercules Hoists, Johnson &Johnson, SS Duncan, Richardson Cruddas, Consolidated Pneumatic all of which were along LBS Marg. Compared to Mulund west, Mulund east was lesser crowded. The famous eateries those days were Vishva Bharat bang opp to rly station, Vishva Mahal also just across station, Amantran along Nethru rd. Movie houses were Mehul ,Deep mandir, Jawahar on the west and Jaiganesh on the east. Shopping along MG Road used to be fun.
Now all the factories have given way to shopping malls. There was a garden maintained by Johnson and Johnson, and an elderly park on Devidayal road. Unfortunately i left Mulund and Mumbai itself to relocate to my home state Kerala. Now deprived of all the fun and enjoyment i used to have in the maximum city Mumbai.

That is the spirit of Mumbai, I used to have a friend in Mulund, one Shivram Shetty he used to say, 'Mumbai ka aadmi Mumbai ko bhool nahi sakhte' very true my dear. I was a Professor at Somaiya Engg College Vidyavihar.

I hardly know mulundkar shifting to another suberb..one of the most peaceful n full of gardens ..hardly any suburban areas have so much greenery
Proud to be part of Mulund, born n brought up in Mulund since 1989 my grandfather born n brought up in Mulund too since 1937 in Cement company, my mother from 1967, Mulund was less populated and peaceful city now the population has increased almost 10times. But if u compare Mulund with other suburbs it's the best place to live..

Mulund is one massive khau galli besides the eating places mentioned.
Johnson gardens, Shonar Bangla Park, and an evening walk down the parallel and planned bylanes, second only to Chandigarh, would've added some more stars to an awsm first TH-cam review on this 'Prince of the Suburbs'

My grandma s parental home was in mulund acres and acres with gardens, cow sheds and 🐴 one horse specially bought for my father. In those days it was a jungle. Some 50 years ago during my childhood I visited

I have travelled a lot of places but there is no peaceful place like Mulund, I mean greenary everywhere, with huge skyscrapers its like nature and technology growing together, and there is literally no conjusted feeling in Mulund, its all full of open areas, huge gardens like Cypress, its really peaceful here and mostly people here are good too.
