Here's how I think buying followers can affect your algorithm. Instagram shows your content to a small percentage of your followers first, then if engagement is good, it then shows your content to a bigger percentage of your followers. The problem is that if Instagram targets the small percentage and it happens to be bots or dummy accounts, then you'd end up not delivering your content to the bigger percentage.

I created a new profile and logged out, logged back in, saw it followed like 1000 people while i was gone and I just freshly made the account, deleting them only made them come back so I just deleted the whole account I wonder why that happened

Instagram goes after the wrong people there are people who don't buy following not bots /and always try to follow rules and guidelines/ and if not they may not know all the rules/ so people are afraid to lose their accounts and try to stay with in the guidelines
Yesterday I was accused 3 different times of sharing my password with someone. And when they accuse you of this they usually lock you out of your account for like a week. I didn’t gain a single follower but I did unfollow two celebrities and got accused of it and locked out of my account. Then I liked 1 single post and they accused me again and locked me out. Instagram sucks it’s hardly even usable they constantly accuse you of violating their stupid rules.
