I always thought Springtrap’s jumpscare was meant to be more menacing, I thought they were trying something new, so I always liked it, the cold eyes of the killer staring at you as you know your screwed.

Its funny how that happened its all about the set-up, OG Golden Freddy worked so well we thought as kids the game was haunted. Might be a bit biased there but that's why he's number 1 the memory stuck with me

I personally believe that OG Golden Freddy’s jumpscare was inspired by something like the scary maze game, this might already be fact with how up close and personal the jumpscares are.
UCN’s problem with it’s jumpscares is that they are just way too over the top. Like sure, it can startle me, but not scare me. It just isn’t that scary seeing terrifying characters just flop all over the place waving their arms like an out-of-control hand-puppet.
It is true, i do also understand the technical limitations of clickteam but your absolutely right!
I like them just bc they’re kinda funny tbh, especially the Mediocre Melodies, they’re just so nonthreatening it’s more of an “ope haha you got me ya scamp” than actually scary.
I’m not a fan of the ones that are just shaking pngs tho, they’re just kinda lame.
One thing that could have been done was to cut them short, just like how the other games before it would do their jumpscares.
I actually kinda think the opposite. They’re just simplistic kill animations.
I don’t think they’re intended to be that scary. In UCN, you’re so focused on 1000 different things that the jumpscare doesn’t really matter.
It’s not a scary game, and it’s not supposed to be. The jump scares are also never unexpected. The only time they ever scare me is if the lights go out, and I don’t know which one is gonna get me or when

FNAF 1 freddy with the power on always startles me. The render’s lighting perfectly blends with the office background and him coming from the back side makes it feel the most real

Exactly. This was done likely because the jumpscare can happen when you're staring at the office blank office, much like Foxy's. Bonnie and Chica are entirely in your face and can only occur after a camera flip.
The other Freddy jump scare scares the absolute freak out of me because of how you’re on cams and it’s dark and you realise Freddy is there. I once ended up falling off my chair because it absolutely startled me.
I like how he put Golden Freddy in both last and first place for the same reason: they are still images.
Main difference is the set-up. Ucn golden freddy its like, oh he's there and then your jumpscared and your like wtf.
The original one holy crap when I got that one I froze in fear then the jumpscare made me scream but the fact the game crashed was scary too. Everyone thought the game was haunted
@@jerakaigamezi would agree, butnthe fact that you can easily get rid of him by using cams ruins it for me. If i had to choose a best jumpscare, it would probably be puppet in fnaf 2, because of the setup, and the fact that once they're out, you can stop them, so you know your screwed
@@jerakaigamezit also helps that fnaf 1 golden Freddy has an infinitely better jumpscare sound than UCN golden freddy, as well as the fact that the jumpscare can appear on the game over screen in fnaf 1, catching you when your guard is down, also, the rather loud, chaotic, and somewhat goofy nature of UCN diminishes the effectiveness of golden Freddy’s jumpscare that is flipped on its head in fnaf 1’s quiet, unnerving atmosphere.
Freddy’s Power Outage jumpscare is honestly one of if not the most terrifying jumpscares in my opinion. The power outage is one of my favorite moments in FNAF because of its amazing suspense. Sad it didn’t make it into the movie, but the film pizzeria didn’t have Security Doors so idk how that would work.

Freddy's Jumpscare from FNAF 1 (when he enters through the right door) was always by far the best to me, it's creepy as hell and can happen anytime
The whole effect of golden Freddy and not really ever knowing when you were gonna encounter him is what sells him for me. Could get him night 1 or 2 or 3. The crashing the game bit is also effective: plus the fact his sound is different
Yeah the main reason I put him at number 1 was because I based the list off getting them for the first time and I never knew about him till I got jumpscare d and I was horrified the set-up is amazing

Hell the Golden Freddy Jumpscare can happen on the Game Over screen (Granted that is a 1/10,000 chance).
Nothing tops the FNaF 1 Freddy power-on jumpscare in my opinion. Still gets me to this very day.
The power-out one is great too, it's just slightly less menacing since he sorta looks like he's hugging you.

Bruh, because it's the best. The best way, to make a jumpscare, is to get a loud noise (also creepy), and imitate the hunter animal jump. The instinct jumpscare always works the best
The reason UCN and SB+Ruin never scared me was the environment. In UCN there was always so much going on that you weren’t scared by the jumpscares as much as you were angry about dying. Plus SB and Ruin both let you know where the animatronics are so you always know when the jumpscare is coming. Great video.
About SB Jumpscares, a very lazy solution would be to have them disappear from your sight once they're close enough, so as to take you off guard. Mildly effective in crowded spaces, where you wouldn't see the animatronic suddenly turn invisible
it works in UCN because that’s just the type of game it is. It’s a high skill balancing act, not a horror game.
I definitely think it doesn’t work in SB. It just feels like the game is made for children
I think ruin alleviated the issue by just having some very well animated jumpscares. Especially monty
I really like FNAF 1 Freddy bc he has the black endo eyes and his attack is completely unlinked from any action. Bonnie and Chica might catch off guard if you forget to check your lights but most of the time you know exactly when they’re in the room, and Foxy you’ll know 9/10 times when he’s on his way. Freddy will just pop up at any point he feels like after he’s gotten inside and it gets me every time.
His power outage jumpscare is also super well done because you’re forced to sit there in the dark anticipating it, but you have no way of knowing when he’s gonna jump. It’s one thing when an animatronic gets you unexpectedly, but it’s another when you know they’re coming and you’re trying to brace yourself in anticipation. The only weakness of it is I don’t find the jumpscare itself nearly as scary as Freddy’s regular attack, but the setup is just THAT good.
FNAF 1 Foxy scared me most. Was my first jumpscare. Even though he just hangs at the door & not in your face, the sense of panic you can have when you see him running to the door and don't close it in time makes the jumpscare that much more terrifying & effective to me. Plus seeing him pop in like that with his gaping, toothy mouth and arguably the most soulless glowing green eyes staring at you really scares the crap out of me. I would not want to see FNAF 1 Foxy looking at me like that next to my bed at night lol.
To me the real jumpscare is when you see him sprinting towards your office
Mapbot probably shocked me the most just because of how unexpected it was, but the best overall jumpscare in my opinion is Funtime Freddy. Like you said, the tension of the mini game really makes it the best for me.
I find it funny how the door closing in FNAF is iconic even though its only really a main feature in the first game (Besides 4, but in that game you can only close them for so long before you doom yourself to die so you gotta open em up anyway)

FNAF 5 is the exact same as FNAF 1, the only difference is the upper vent and there’s other animatronics, including some that don’t kill you, like lolbit.

i like the fnaf1 door freddy jumpscare better than power outage because its the only jumpscare that can attack you when you close the door but a little too late and him covered in shadow makes him look more menacing
Freddy overall is so well executed in FNAF 1. It adds him a menacing personality, and he was so annoyed when you looked at him

The setup for nightmare is amazing makes it feel like a boss fight but the light flickering right before the jumpscare ruins it for me
I put Freddy’s door one in number 1 unit I’ll I saw both these jump scares and nightmare, nightmarrione and golden Freddy went over.

@@ColinTheThing EXACTLY, ngl I find that a lil hypocrite, dude literally said Golden Freddy jumpscare is bad cause is a still image with a scream, and put him in no.130, while he put Golden Freddy from fnaf 1 at 1ST PLACE which still just a still image with a scream, and is probably the worst "jumpscare" of FNAF 1 and one of the worst in the franchise, literally a still drawing of a bear
@@leonidasneves7972 i think it in part has to do with the fact that he appears in your office the way he does, and then his scream is much creepier as it's pitched down and slowed down, topped off with the fact that it totally crashes your game.
Part of it has to do with the setup, the game crashing, and the fact that it breaks the mold of what you were expecting of a FNAF Jumpscare. The noise is slowed down, and it covers the screen. UCN doesn't do any of this.

Least favorite: Nightmare Mangle (UCN) is the jumpscare that should have a lot of movement but is ruined by being a still picture shaking
Favorite: Nightmarionne (FNAF 4) the close up to the face with no teeth and lack of colors asides from black and white makes it perfect in my opinion. Feels like it stares at my soul

Another reason why Bonnie is good is that most people have this as the first ever jumpscare so this probably gets 7th place, under Ballora’s. Pretty much every FNAF 5 jumpscare is in the top 20 for me.
fnaf 1 Chica is the scariest for me. the dead look in her eyes makes it seem like she is an inanimate object that was haunted for some reason which is exactly the case
I always thought that i was the only one who nearly got scared to death after seeing funtime foxy's jumpscare for the first time. The noise, the atmosphere, the darkness and especially if you're playing SL normally and you get the canon jumpscare after wondering where foxy is just for him to do the most unexpected jumpscare ever. Its genuinely scary since you feel like you're in the shoes of Michael. Funtime foxy has the best jumpscare in fnaf.
I lowkey think the OG bonnie and chica might be the best, the contrast from playing a very static game with no movement in a very 2d office giving humungous entertainment vibe to a rapidly moving animatronic in ur face screaming like a chimp hit hard
The scariest for me might be Freddy’s from FNAF 1. Not the Power outage one, but his regular one.
The fact that they make his eyes little pinpricks of light is so unsettling, and it’s a nice attention to detail, since that’s how he appears on all the cameras
When I played Fnaf 3 for the first time, the Phantom ones scared the hell outta me.
If you notice, the golden freddy fnaf 2 jumpscare is actually animated
Fnaf 1 office freddy i feel is EASILY the best jumpscare in the series. It’s right in your face, and something about the lighting makes it sorta hard to see him, and he’s very unexpected. And he comes out of literally nowhere when he sneaks into your office. And it looks. SO. REAL. They executed this one perfectly, and it still to this day makes me jump when i play fnaf 1.
I can’t get the thought out of my head that Springtrap’s jump scare in UCN is him doing a chicken impression while making chicken noises😭😭 His arms on the sides if you pay attention make him look like he’s “bgawk”ing💀💀😭

I find the freddy jumpscare to be terrifying in my opinion, but that just could be the tension that helps it alot.
Freddy's power outage is easily my number one just because of the sheer trauma it caused me. During an after school club in elementary when we were waiting for our parents to pick us up, one of the kids was playing FNAF 1 on his phone and he wanted to show us what happened when you ran out of power. I had never heard of FNAF before and somehow didn't pick up on the fact that it was a horror game, so I was watching curiously with everyone else as he closed the doors and flicked between all the cameras and kept turning the lights on. When the power finally went out and the jumpscare played it scared me so bad I literally started crying. (Keep in mind I was in 4th grade and HATED all things scary.)
So while objectively it might not be the best or the scariest, it would be first by a mile on my own list because seeing it that one time terrified me for YEARS after
Fnaf 1 Freddy, Golden Freddy Bonnie & Chica are unparalled. They seem the most aggressive out of all of the Animatronics even springtrap (William) & thats saying something

Tbh, I actually thought Golden Freddy in fnaf 2 was the SCARIEST fnaf 2 one not because he doesn’t jump but because of how you see him but it’s eerie a head flying and it is so scary when you think his head is going to come out of the screen. I put this jumpscare at 5TH PLACE, under Freddy’s door one, Golden Freddy, Nightmarrione and Nightmare.

The main fear of that game is that it encourages you to pay very close attention and the sense of dread at what might be lurking in the darkness
FNAF SL has always been in a weird spot for me. It has 2 of the best jumpscares in the history of the games (VR not included), while being the most linear and predictable of the entire series. I fancy the FNAF PS style of gameplay and jumpscare audio. It has some fairly low effort jumpscare visuals, but if you are unprepared, it'll make you shit bricks
Walking in complete darkness and then some freaky ballerina randomly jumpscaring you and opening up her faceplates is so freaking scary that my favorite is easily Ballora.
That is horrifying

Awesome video!!! Also I subbed :) and I respect your opinion onevery Jumpscare and how scary they are, I got my list of every Jumpscare from 1-Pizzeria Simulator from scariest to least scary in my Opinion and why :)
List:
1. Gold Metal of scariest in my Opinion: Freddy (Black out): how he jumps at you from the Darkness can really scare you unless if the 6am clock hits first, his actual jumpscare is probably only a tiny bit less scary if before the game over static 6am hits during the Jumpscare.
2. Silver Metal of scariest in my Opinion: All of the FNAF SL Jumpscares: Most of these Jumpscares really catch you off guard and some even reveal their endo Skeletons, Minirina in my opinion is defenently the scariest out of all of the other SL jumpscares as it jumps at you and shows it's creepy face, if it had the FNAF 4 Jumpscare sound for Specificly Minirina then I would have put Minirina's Jumpscare past Freddy's Black Out Jumpscare.
3. The Bronze metal of scariest in my Opinion: All of the Nightmare's Jumpscare: how most of them appear through the darkness, have that really creepy look, and the intense jumpscare sound defenently shows that FNAF 4 Jumpscare Sounds are a great competitor to the Sister Location Jumpscares.
4. FNAF 1 Freddy's, Bonnie's, and Chica's Jumpscares: they are scary in their own right, plus they get extra points for being the classic Jumpscares.
5. FNAF 2 Mangle: Her Jumpscare is defenently unike compared to most of the other Jumpscares, as her Jumpscare looks more dragon like than fox.
6. The Puppet Jumpscare: His Jumpscare defenently shows how creepy The Puppet looks, tho it looks alot like Withered Foxy's.
7. Phantom BB: probably the Scariest of the FNAF 3 Jumpscares, Phantom BB is defenently the type to scare anyone who is not paying attention.
8. Withered Foxy and Phantom Foxy: How they jump at you through the Darkness is defenently Jumpscare worthy.
9. The rest of the FNAF 2 Jumpscares: They are all scary I their own right, particularly Withered Bonnie and Withered Chica.
10. Phantom Freddy and Phantom Chica: They can spook the player when they are creeped out or off their guard, worthy of number 10 in my opinion.
11. The FNAF 6 Jumpscares: each of the 4 characters that can jumpscare you have 2 jumpscares! And both are creepy in my opinion, yet the sound just sounds like a low pitched pig scream...
12. Phantom Mangle and Phantom Puppet: In my opinion they are the weakest of the Phantom Jumpscares, either just staring at you or annoying you.
13. The OG Foxy Jumpscare: it does have a great build up to the Jumpscare, but when he Jumpscares you he doesn't go into your face like the others, he just stands there?
14. Spring Trap: yeah, even tho he is the only one that can kill you, his jumpscare compared to the Phantoms is just pathetic, just sawing side to side?
15. Golden Freddy (FNAF 1 and 2): In my opinion Golden Freddy has the weakest Jumpscare, in FNAF 1 it's just a picture with a slow low pitched FNAF 1 sound, in FNAF 2 it's a little better with the head getting bigger in the Jumpscare like the head is going to bite you (the bite of 87), but yeah...

Mr. Hippo’s monologues aren’t scary. They’re beautiful. His storytelling and beauty is unmatched by any other being on earth. Mr. Hippo reintroduced me to hope and love and I can only hope that you will eventually open your eyes and heart to everything Mr. Hippo does for those around him
Love it or hate it but fnaf 3 Springtrap has some of the smoothest animation in a jumpscare. Really makes it feel like theres a calculated serial killer in there. Not scary but i find it endearing especially when Springtrap has the best design in the series
Also, the confusion of golden freddy crashing the game after the jumpscare just makes it even more scary
Btw, in Funtime Freddy's jumpscare his faceplates clip through his ears. Same with Funtime Foxy.

I personally kinda think that sister location has some of the weakest jumpscares in the series besides UCN. SL definitely has the best story but I never found the popping face plates to be that scary. Out of those though i think ballora is the best one. Overall fnaf 1 and 2 have the best collections, and I personally think that springtrap in 3 is overhated. As many have pointed out, it’s designed to be slower and creepier rather than a quick spook to emphasize that there’s a person in that suit, not a robot.

Honestly I love withered Bonnie's jumpscare, a lot of jumpscares are just the animotronic shaking its arms in your face, but withered Bonnie is one of the ones that genuinely look like he's attacking you
springtrap is literally a human that's why he doesn't chew you up like the others so it makes sense that his jumpscare isn't very scary
Freddy's "fromt he side" jumpscare was always my favorite. He's behind you.
Idk why but my personal favorite jump scares are the phantom animatronics. The panic you feel persists even after the jumpscare itself occurs, as the phantoms can’t kill you, they just make your night harder. There’s still a chance you could die even after they get to you

The ruin jumpscares are easily the coolest. So refreshing having the animatronics actually kill you instead of just shaking and screaming at you
One that sticks out to me is FNAF 2 Golden Freddy, my first time playing it took me a couple attempts to figure out how to deal with him and it would catch me off guard
fnaf 1 freddy in office jumpscare is the best for me, only if u know everything about the game you can know if he is gonna jumpscare you or not, for 99% of players his jumpscare would scare them the most by a long shot

This is an okay video but I feel like I just kept hearing “not that scary” even closer to the top of the list. It doesn’t feel much like an actual ranking if I’m honest.

6. Results in crash, giving haunted vibes
7. Name was unknown, thanks to Markiplier was called Golden Freddy (yellow or piss coloured bear doesn't sound menacing)
Yes I agree. I saw astral spiff said he thinks golden freddys is great and everyone was like yesssss but when I said it I got shunned haha

For me, i would put nightmarionne above nightmare. I always thought that nightmarionne being tall, lanky, and twisted up in thr body was way scarier then the other nightmares. I like thier designs fine, and they make a ton of sense, but nightmarionne was always the creepiest to me
