I have a pair of 1971 Dovedale"s all still original tweeters paper woofers & grills they still sound beautiful I will never sell them,there's a video on my TH-cam,thank you Peter your the best!

So it's the exact same tweeter as used in the Lintons. I wonder if this also goes for the midrange unit..?

The tweeter has been enhanced by the addition of a rear chamber to lower its fundamental resonance to well below the crossover frequency, it is a markedly more detailed unit. Similarly the rear chamber for the midrange unit has been increased in size with the same performance upgrades

Hi, How do you compare these Wharfedale Dovedale to Spendor's Classic 100 speakers? TIA.

I heard them at Bristol and was disappointed. I think the demonstrators were playing the music way too loud and their Audiolab 9000 could not hack. Very boomy. I own the Lintons so no personal axe to grind. Next year I want them to set up the gear properly

Yes, the show was really busy this year, apparently they had 30% more people attending than usual, so it's no wonder they had to turn up the volume.

@@premiumsounduk No such problems in the Pmc & Proac room. For me the best sound was Yamaha . This has lead me to purchase an As1200 Intergrated Amplifier. I've now had it 2 weeks and it's burnt in. Its phenomenal
