@@philiprobson313 thanks for watching. There’s no getting around it is heavy. In May we bought a Dometic air awning (was Kampa) it’s heavy too! I do prefer the Isabella, which we still have. ( it’s a long story, ideally I wouldn’t have both 😆🙄 ) Isabella is better quality in little, but important ways. Like the zips and the curtains, but everything is just that much better. Having said that the Dometic is perfectly usable and if I hadn’t had an Isabella it would be perfectly fine. It’s a personal choice thing I did think the 4 metre Dometic ( Kampa ) would be lighter than it actually is…. We did toy with the 300 version of the Isabella, as that must be a bit lighter but obviously smaller.
@ thank you for your response. Have also been looking at these new suncanopy ideas with fronts and sides. They are much lighter but not sure if they will do the job.
That is the proper Rolls Royce of awnings. Love the quality. We worked out if we got the awning, 2 annexe and all the internal stuff you can creep over 5k. Way out of our league but fantastic all the same. Probably a really good investment for a seasonal pitch.
Thanks for watching. Yes, they are quality and pricey. We were lucky that this one came up second hand. We wouldn't have bought the annexe new. The set up we have is 3k new, although we paid a lot less that that, actually, just a bit more than a new Kampa. No brainer for us really...
Hahaha yes pretending I was adjusting the awning, pathetic isn't it 😂! Well, actually, I didn't want to be recognised 😂 In all honesty I always feel like a berk filming on a site, believe or not, not everyone knows who I am?! I know... Thanks for watching Eric.
Wow! Great awning, looks super high quality and really like the way the curtains work...very well thought out. We never stop in one place long enough to warrant one but if we did it would have to be an Isabella from what I’ve seen ! Cheers Michelle and Andy 😃😃
Thanks for watching. The way the curtains work is genius. Little things please little minds (I'm referring to myself there). Honestly, you can see why it's more expensive than most over awnings. But not everyone wants to spend that much or indeed struggle with a heavy awning. Of course, no problem for me being an international vlogger..blah..blah..blah.. 😂😂😂
Wow Graham what a great review,I was so impressed by your video that I’ve just bought one with the right hand side Annex ... 😂🤣You’ve just cost me just under £3500🥲& it should be with me this week 🥳 but you just can’t beat quality if your away all the time .... I had previously a Kampa rally air 390 which has served us well over the last 9 years but it’s took its toll ...
Thanks for watching. You won’t be disappointed. I was being tactful in the vlog, it’s more than twice as good as our Kampa. Ive only used it that once, can’t wait to get out and use it again !
Nice buy Graham, your right about the weight my Kampa 390 plus is 32kg, big bulky bag. Has to live in house too heavy to lift above my head from step ladders into the garage loft.
My parents have a 3m deep Isabella pole awning, with the carbon fibre poles. Fully recommend that you remove all of the front and side panels before dropping it, makes them much lighter. Also, their awning is now over twelve years old, and still in perfect condition. It was an insurance replacement after the original was stolen from the trailer it was being stored in, along with two annexes
Very nice awning Graham. Looks very sturdy and strong material. I would be tempted to move it further back as you have the room, the annex won’t be sticking out at the front. It’s also big enough without the annex, great purchase. Cheers Martin
Thanks for watching. Yes I see what you mean by moving it back. TBH didn’t really need /want the annex but I could refuse the offer as we were looking for the awning anyway. Graham
Hi Graham. I fully agree with the condensation issues with the yours and my Kampa awnings. I Have the Air Ace 500 and the roof design is bad so you cant open the front panels at the top without the rain running in. SO.. I opted for the Kampa Air Club 390 Plus which I have to say is such a great design, Isabella seem to have copied it. Im really not sure if the price difference is really worth the difference. Really disapointed that Isabella have just copied the Kampa design of the 390 Club Air plus. I have two isabella's and two Kampa's now and of course the Kampa isnt the same quality as the Isabella, but my go to is always the Kampa.. You cant compare your old one to the new one as you cant open the front top windows and the rain doesnt flood in. Not sure its worth the cost difference beccause if you replace your awning avery four years as you have and I do more often than that, why pay for an Isaabella that will last 10-15 years.
Hiya, nice awning. Do you put anything under the carpet or is it straight onto the grass?. I was going to put a carpet in our awning, but thought it might get ruined.
Thanks for watching. We use a breathable ground sheet, well, it's the "carpet" from our Kampa awning, which has holes in it. We were on a hard standing, although a very small one. But we normally put it straight onto the grass as it is breathable. Graham
We bought the Isabella frame awning just preferred it to the air awning. Got to say the quality is first class on Isabella products. Good review on this awning Graham.
Thanks for watching. We had a frame awning for years and I really struggled with it (wasn't Isabella, just some random German make). I lost count the times I got hit on the head by a pole, also damaged the side of the caravan. Not the awnings fault of course, just the person putting it up!
Isabella awnings are the best. Great quality and very well made. But this quality comes at a price. After you’ve had it a while you’ll soon notice how crap Kampa is. Great review Graham.👍
Thanks for watching. Only got it in October, that was the only time we’ve used it 😭I’ll definitely do an update once our caravan is fixed up after the smash
I have just purchased one having had the same experience with a kampa air pro which leaked. Not had the Isabella up yet hopefully next weekend. What ground sheet do you use with yours. Great channel by the way.
We have this awning. Brilliant! but have the same problem with the annex! Mentioned this to the awnings guy at Campbells Caravans in Preston. He said attach the annex before you attach the awning to the rail. Not tried it yet but seems logical!
I think it’s like a heavy duty canvas type material or something I really do love those awnings , especially the curtains & vents , would you recommend that over a kampa for a seasonal pitch long term awning ? Thanks for the superb detailed review 👍 Mike
Thanks for watching.Yes, you're right, it is like a canvas material, really rough and took the skin off my fingers :-) I think it would be ideal for a seasonal pitch, in fact, better than for touring because of its weight. I could see why it cost more than the Kampa. Graham
Lovely Awning, wouldn’t mind one of those myself, you got a great deal on it I to would have snapped his fingers off at that price, do you know the exact outside measurement of just the awning, not sure if it would fit our Bailey Valencia, starting between front near side window and door
@@CaravanVlogger thanks for replying Graham, I have see since that Dan Trudgian tried a Ventura Trinus 400 air awning on his Bailey Ridgeway and he had plenty space left over towards the end of his caravan, so I should be ok with the Cirrus 400
Very nice awning, but no less than you would expect from isabella.agree with caravan nut about moving it more to the rear.hope you enjoy many good times with it
Agreed, our Isabella Magnum with carbon-X poles is 12 years old and looks as good as new. It's seen some weather too! No way could I afford a new Isabella and everything else we looked at looks crap in comparison, so the Magnum will soldier on
Doesn’t it need moving toward the back rather than forward? To allow that front window to be aligned with the perspex bit of the annex? Or as much as the door position will allow?
Thanks for watching David. Yes, that makes sense, I was going on a few photos I've seen. But what you suggested makes more sense as there's a zip underneath that window to allow access to the locker. Graham
Hi Graham Isabella call that material isocryl it's breathable so reduces condensation , nice colour same as mine carbon poles for me puncture proof and good on sloping ground nice look around thanks
Love the new Awning Graham it looks a top end one hence the price tag , not sure if I missed a video on you erecting it , but how easy was it to erect ? Well done you. Catch you later Martin.
Newbie here what is the pecking order in awnings I take it isabella are top tree I was looking at vango montalino and camptech duke are they like mid table so to speak ?
Love that awning Graham. Nice to be able to have a close up of what Isabella awnings are like. What happened to your roll out awning though? Did that not work out?
Thanks for watching. We still have the canopy. The problem with the canopy is that is can only really be used in good weather, really as a sun shield. We debating what to do with it ATM. It's good for short trips in the summer, but of course you need to put it on the awning rail first and this involved unrolling it a bit first and can't leave it on if you want to then use the awning. I _might_ put it on the other awning rail, but that all adds to the payload of course... Graham
@Davies Powell Now there's a good idea, why didn't I think of that! I could put the caravan in the middle of pitch, car one side under the canopy and the awning the other :-) I'd certainly be "all the gear and no idea" then haha
Thanks for watching Rog. Awnings not your favourite things you mean? I tend to agree, but do love the additional space. You'd think as there's only two of us we wouldn't use one. I like them though, just in them when it's raining (UK). Or sit in them in the sun (France) haha..
Nice awning to there Graham should last a while you ill won't need to go to the gym as you can do work out putting the awning up when u said they around 2 K to buy is the one u got a ex display demo one as ii gather u didn't pay that price cheers kev
Thanks for watching Kev. It was second hand so had been used, maybe once or twice. Looks new though. Awning new is 2k annex is 1k and we got it half price, which we were happy with. I basically bit the guys arms off and travelled 3 hours each way to get it 😳😳
Thanks for watching Lucy. It's not for everyone, but your right, you can see why it's more expensive. Having said the Kampa we have has served us well for over 4 years.. Graham
We are looking at awnings and came across your review. Very helpful as always. My only concern is whether I could manage the weight of it.

Hi Graham. Loving your new awning. We take our windows out on ours we have a Ventura awning. Poor man's Isabella 😄. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. They're perfectly good awnings Paul, we've owned all sorts previously!
We brought ours second hand as well and its in perfect condition does exactly what we need it to do.
That's a neat Awning, great to see it both indoors and outdoors, clever how it seals to the caravan! Plenty of extra space to relax👍
