Thank you for recording this lecture in full, without the interruptions on the original night
Hopefully we will return to civilised in person lectures for the rest of the series

    Hello, thank you for this.
Please ignore the insensitive, ignorant and insulting comments which have no basis. The treatment you have received recently whilst trying to educate during your lectures was an absolute disgrace. Thank you for carrying on regardless 🙏🌈💕

This guy is the real deal - he's a doctor, scientist and researcher, co-opted in to do his best to advise a government that really didn't want to listen. Don't blame him for the failings of others - his interest is in saving lives and preventing the suffering of millions. Blame those who wouldn't listen - and those absolute MORONS who still won't.

@@zhangruyi3153 More shocking is the advice he gave to the government that they refused to follow - with fatal results for so many. I'm not saying any other party would have been any better - it's politicians just focussing on being politicians rather than public servants that's the problem. Entirely the wrong people are becoming politicians for entirely the wrong reasons.

@@vipertwenty249 Fully agree with you that the wrong people are becoming politicians and Boris and his gang are not listening to professional scientific advice. In some countries, politicians leave the management of the pandemic to experts i.e. medical people and scientists.
We will pay a terrible price after Christmas and they reckon that between now and spring a further 25 thousand people will die from this evil virus.

I remember seeing Mr. Whitty in a Gresham College lecture in the months before the pandemic and thought wow, this guy is a really great communicator and very intelligent. It's called "How to Control a Pandemic'. It was a video made 3 years ago and I recommend everybody watch it to see what is different between what was said and is particular epidemic. The big difference I noticed is that vaccines were developed in time, whereas he said in his speech that it could be counted on to happen during an outbreak because it takes many years for development and testing. the mNRA vaccines were a big development in medicine, and could turn out to be one of the great occurrences in all of medical history.
I think cooking our own food allows us for a very high level of control concerning the feces / food connection prevalent in many food-borne illnesses. It just so happens I started doing it since I went whole food-plant based. There is no reliance of restaurant worker hand cleanliness. There's always a risk during food preparation for sale in the grocery stores, but the risk is greatly reduced when eliminating the restaurant food prep angle.

Thank you so much for taking the time to re-present this lecture after the appalling interruptions during the scheduled public lecture a couple of weeks ago. Another one of the many reasons Veganism is the way to go. You can't in any way argue with this.

I'm allergic to most fruits and veggies, so I can and will argue this point. I would never do it because I could eat so little. Vegans mistakenly assume it's okay to be pushy because it's generally a healthier lifestyle. They're as high pressure and inappropriate as any religion.

Personally Ferguson of Imperial should have done this lecture, he has form with animals considering the numerous farm animal holocausts he has conducted in UK, personally there should be a Bucranium temple in honour of the heroic feat, personally there should be another farm purge because we all need to go vegan and eat bugs, we must save the climate.

Why is he doing lectures like this just at the moment? Why has he had such an interest in pandemics? Why is he suddenly talking about food when it is obvious that airbourne diseases are what causes pandemics not food and water? Does he have a wet market in mind which might be a threat? Its so obvious it's laughable !!
