One Day Build: Box Fan Paint Fume Door Exhaust System

- Due to more work, and winter being an unending battle with the cold, i recently expanded my work room to the adjacent room to turn it into a paint and finishing room. So I needed some ventilation so my house doesnt smell like paint. I saw a system like this in another shop a few years ago and figured i'd incorporate it into mine.
Looks good, gave me some ideas to better mount a box fan for exhaust in an apartment window. Thank you.

Great idea, but shouldn't you have air filters to absorb the paint spray? I'm gonna try this in my shed . It's the best video I've seen on paint ventilation ✅
Be careful when doing it this way, paint is flammable and electric motors create sparks... Not to say it doesn't work and not to say I won't be doing it myself when I repaint my car, but just an FYI.

What about Fumes and the vents on the fan motors? not a good combo. If someone builds one like yours and has to paint in the center of a room lets say the fumes can be dangerous and cause a flash explosion. It can happen it should be safer to tape off the openings to the motor and use air conditioning filters on the fan to help prevent ignition of the fumes. Just an Idea to stay safe.

You are fully right with anything larger scale it can be extremely dangerous and requires specific fans.
