that's actually a little more impressive tbh, the fact that they're so in character and re-hearsed enough that it feels like an improvisation is really cool
Since I saw the trailer for "What we do in the Shadows", I'm finally catching up with the Conchords stuff. Their Kiwi, dry wit is just brilliant. Helping me though a really tough time in my life. Feels so good to laugh

The Conchords make funny parody songs with the highest level of quality of music. They do every genre justice while parodying it. They make fun of the lame reality of the average sex life while playing a funky song. It's really genius stuff.
This is the worst thing I’ve ever watched. I can’t stand flight of the concords and not even I would dislike this. It takes a real A-hole to dislike a vid. This is what I get for searching “business and time mgmt improvement” this show and this act not my thing but they put in effort and work and others find it funny. Can’t dislike that.
Words can't even begin to describe my love for these two guys. They are unbelievably talented and clever. And I'm so glad I have this comedy special on DVD, it's hilarious and an absolute classic from start to finish.
Two Minutes in Heaven is better than one minute in heaven! I just got my dose of hilarity getting down to business for the ten thousandth time. Seriously could a song be more funny, true to life and hilarious than this? I frigging doubt it...
10 years ago... And I remember when my little sister and I saw these videos in our teens and learned almost every song by heart. Still know most of it!
I've been wearing "Its business time" socks for twenty years now, Without realizing where Defeet got the idea for these. One of my customers at San Antonio MS150 bike ride told me what they mean. This is great. The cuff reads "its business time" the bottom of the sock (sole) reads " when I'm down to my socks, you know what time it is"
An orbital rocket was just launched from New Zealand. It was the third flight, the first was called "It's a test", that launch failed. The follow up launch "Still Testing" was a complete success though. So you know what that means. They were ready to take customers. The third launch was called "It's Business Time".
That DVD you kept and can’t part w/bc you love it so much and rewatch it in your basement bc your kids think you’re old and boring; well, that’s me and “Flight of the Conchords.” There are days, maybe even weeks of my life I will never get back, and I love every minute of it too. 😊
I’ve watched this over a thousand times and that bit when they both look at each other to hit the beat at the same time is just magical. More people should love this band and watch the show. The world would be a better place xx
I saw this in "health class" during my sophomore year of HS and that was 2009. Still listening in 2021 and now a big fan of the TV show "What We Do In The Shadows". Thank you Jermaine Clement!
I watch this a few times a year, and it is just as fresh and new each time! Good music and humor never go out of style. I laff my butt off each time I watch this!
Ive never been a fan of comedy music but these guys are amazing, They're funny and they are very good musicians who write really good stuff!!! AAAAAAHHHH YEAH!
Just saw them in Cleveland last night and now I am re-obsessed! There must be a new album coming out with the amount of new music they played. CAN'T WAIT!
It's nuts that a channel with 8.38k subs has 37 million views on licensed music they don't own, which has been up for nearly 15 years and nobody tried to claim it or take it down.
This has always been my favorite FOTC song since I was in high school. Here again after listening to what I consider its spiritual successor, "Paint That Lady" by Tom Cardy. Nothing better than an unsexy encounter over very sexy music!
Everything about this is amazing! The facial expressions with the spoken word parts are hilarious! I especially love the "makin' love, makin' love for twoo, makin' love for twooo minutes" has me laughing everytime!
I first saw this song when I was a kid. And now I'm a 30 year old man and I do believe sorting out the recycling is still very important to the foreplay.
This performance is still, by far, the best version to date.
agreed
Honestly all of there live versions are the best imo.
I almost always prefer studio version to live performances of music. Anything by Flight of the Conchords is an exception
Amen
Yes the very best. Accidentally stumbled upon a newer version and was like, wtf is THIS? lol
'The conditions are perfect' That lyric has always entered my head whenever I encounter a mood-setting moment.
Every time I put on socks I think these are my business socks. Every. Time.
That's the line that came to my mind from other context and I had to come and re-listen this gem of a song once more just now.
Because it's Wednesday
I'm here after saying this today about a hurricane 🌀 😂
AMEN
"Then you go sort out the recycling, that's not part of it but its still important". Had me dead.
VERY important, mind you.
"....and that's why they're called BUSINESS SOCKS."
2 of the funniest men to ever strap on guitars & compose gut-bustingly hysterical parody songs. They are the greatest.
Well! they were, after all, the fourth most popular folk parody duos in New Zealand.
the third most popular is Like of the Conchords, they're a tribute band but slightly more popular@@alexanderSydneyOz
"Well, I'm not surprised... but I'm quite sleepy." Hahahaha! Brilliant writing and execution.
Makes me laugh so hard every time.
This gem just never gets old. Seriously hard to sing/talk and play in beat + improvising.
I see you on every FOTC video, and I love you.
Meatrocket I revisit FoTC videos on YT on a monthly basis really. Can't help it...one video leads to another.
Nah. It's the same things they did in the show. Just live versions.
they have a base idea then improvise parts on the live shows.
Jenny was fully improvised and that was incredible :P
that's actually a little more impressive tbh, the fact that they're so in character and re-hearsed enough that it feels like an improvisation is really cool
Conditions are perfect...
LOL Yes, the conditions are perfect! >.
and the only "conditions" was nothing on tv... hilarious stuff

Singing 'AT' each other - not 'to', just 'AT'!
I just watched Jemaine's vampire movie What We Do in the Shadows. UNBELIEVABLY HILARIOUS.
Funniest film I've ever seen
I agree... It was perfection...
"Hey, we're werewolves, not swearwolves!"
Love that movie

Yep you were previously wrong
I can no longer do it on a Wednesday for fear of thinking of this song and laughing.
Same, but i can't do it any day for fear of laughing XD...and because no one wants to do it with me...but if they did! Hellooooo!!!!

This is a timeless classic.
First funky dance ( after our slow dance ) at my wedding! SO good! Flight of the Conchords soundtrack was our falling in love album!
This never gets old. I first learned of this song from a Marriage Conference a few years back. I've been a fan ever since.
a marriage conference?!
@@djrobincooper I'm guessing it's a great funny example of bad sex and lack of communication in a marriage
