I feel like all the people who are giving her shit are kind of missing the point. These women are obviously suffering from mental and psychological issues. This is a documentary designed to inform and educate, not a sideshow. If you can honestly watch this and not feel any compassion for these people who just want to be loved then I kind of feel sad for you. That being said I don't think I am going to be sitting on any fences or public monuments anytime soon.
Several people have said this, and I disagree. She wasn't saying that at all if you listened to her. She was saying she understood what it was like to never have security as a child and feel like property of the government. She wasn't at all trying to say her life was as difficult or more difficult than that. She was just saying she could empathize.
If you get off to the Berlin Wall, whatever, good for you, but don't attempt to justify it's existence and claim it's a tragedy that it fell. That is just cruel to the families separated by it and the people who lost theirs lives attempting to cross it.
Objects can't run away or reject you like people can. I personally believe that is why they love objects. All the people on here have been through a lot and come to the conclusion that people will hurt them. They're not really hurting anyone though, so it doesn't really bother me though.
especially in this day and age, a lot of families are split up, I won't go into my history, but trying to understand why people did what they did, and not feeling sorry for yourself helps, and never give up trying to overcome your problems, I'm 30 and still getting over shit, but least I'm trying, and it's no were near as bad as what they went thru in Berlin!, I feel quite blessed!
It sounds stupid when you put it like that. But she's just really passionate about it. Also, she's suffered a lot in her life, so clearly she's not had a very good human experience. =/
if it's possible to condition a young boy to be afraid of rabbits through behavioural therapy, maybe she was conditioned to be afraid of human contact through being molested for years. i feel sorry for her. i'm interested in whether she could be conditioned to accept human contact again
dear god is she really comparing being put into foster care against being separated from families and put into forced labour camps or killed? good lord
This just shows that a child should be raised without any traumas AND having lots of love from family. Normal love from normal family, Otherwise there is a big chance of the child growing up fucked up.
Yes, when I watched this when it was shown on TV a few yrs back, it really made me cringe....very very wrong to compare one person with the pain of millions.
@WakeUpDead13 yeah, she does. It's pretty badass, actually - I don't love the Eiffel Tower to the extent that Ms. Eiffel does, but I do love Paris so I think that tat is cool. All the same, I think I'll stick with an Eiffel Tower hoodie or t-shirt or something lol
Obviously all these people have had traumatic experiences that made they afraid to commit to human beings. Doesn't take a psychologist to figure it out.
@loveandmathematics99 It was a terrible comparison. She is comparing herself to a wall which separated the same nationality from each other, and brought turmoil to millions on the east side of the wall.
"You" could have won? I said in my post that I'm American. Reading is a critical life skill. Anyway, the US helped as part of the Allies. WWII might've been lost to the Axis without the US, but it just as likely might've been lost without the Soviet Union or even the UK. The US helped win the war... we did not win it ourselves.
I'm pretty sure objectum sexuals get a lot more mockery than homosexuals simply due to lack of understanding. Besides, there's no actual legal binding involved in marrying an object, which is why it is neither legal nor illegal.
German People: We reject this wall, a symbol of oppression and suffering! Woman: "that's kind of like my family rejecting me. I am the Berlin Wall, break me, try to tear me down and I will still be here standing." German People: Achtung! IS in no way related! crazy americans....
they suffer from their own childhoods and projects this on objects. it´s a psychological disorder, a trauma, that makes them act like this..... i mean, for gods sake, she loves a fence ?!!?
How is it that a person can marry the Eiffel Tower or a amusement park ride, but if someone wants to marry a person of the same sex it is looked upon as a mockey to marrage and there for is not allowed in most parts of the world?
Why the hell is it ok for these people to cheat (which of course they're not actually doing because the objects don't even know they EXIST) but it's considered immoral for everyone else?!
Here's a thought: Why doesn't she use her personal experiences of being an unloved child in abusive foster homes to help other kids that have been in the foster care system instead of fucking objects in foreign countries that she believes she has a similar story with?
American is not a race. And no, the US did not win WWII. The US helped the allies to defeat the axis. Cuz liek, pretty sure France, Poland, Russia, the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and South Africa MIGHT have helped with that. A bit. Especially Russia and the UK. *eyeroll* Lots of Americans really do think that the US won that war. As an American, I shake my head at those people.
Imagine going to a museum and getting into a fight with the curator

Jeez that long haired woman is so self-righteous. In no way can she compare her life to the lives of those who suffered.
Honestly she's delusional and seriously thought she was sympathizing lol. She should have just shut up.
downthestreetteam I agree completely
Seems like she has no empathy whatsoever
Glad I'm not the only one thinking this
Starting to think that maybe her problem connecting with other people is that she can’t see beyond herself
I felt really sorry for that woman, but then her ignorance kicked in and I just wanted that woman to ask her to leave.
Which woman? Erika?
@@Dreamskater100 All of them.
i have peed on the berlin wall, i didn't know it was someone's boyfriend
The part where she’s arguing with the museum’s owner is ultra awkward.
lmao ya that museum guide didn’t know what she was getting into
i feel bad for her. everybody is ragging on her when all she wanted was to be loved. she feels like humans have failed her so she turns to objects
‘I am the Berlin wall’ 😂 yeah u spilt families apart
The Berlin Wall in Germany is completely different from going through Social Services in the U.S. :/
she's not stupid, she just experiences the world differently from most people
Amy's mom and the woman at the museum are the most sane ones
She doesn't even understand why the Berlin wall was awful for those people. The way she explains it isn't even close. These people need serious help.
By all means these women seem to have gone through quite a bit of struggle in the past..
Tolle nette Frau sehr sympathisch.
Von ihr kann man viel lernen.

I like this lady... She actually talks a lot of sense
Okay - the Berlin Wall is a polygamist. Got it. It all makes sense now.
at 2:49 ,
she's like wtf are you doing
Also, was anyone else reminded of the "Song Tear Me Down" from Hedwig and the Angry Inch
It sounds stupid when you put it like that. But she's just really passionate about it.
Also, she's suffered a lot in her life, so clearly she's not had a very good human experience. =/
I am the Berlin wll, I mean it does say a lot in this situation, but man does that quote need so much context
@unfuckingavailable "I fuck fences now" should be the ace in the hole.
if it's possible to condition a young boy to be afraid of rabbits through behavioural therapy, maybe she was conditioned to be afraid of human contact through being molested for years. i feel sorry for her. i'm interested in whether she could be conditioned to accept human contact again
thank you!
dear god is she really comparing being put into foster care against being separated from families and put into forced labour camps or killed? good lord

2:48 she's like "Bitch better get her hands off my man!"
Most people want to rip it down, these woman love the Berlin Wall
How the hell does she fuck with the wall?
@hotstuffgal Good point-- walls don't kill people, people kill people.
"I've had so many opportunities in my life to go down the wrong road"
Looks like you already have.
why?
I really don't understant why people get pissed so easily these days. geez...
Why is she telling her life story to a museum employee?
My pain was WORSE than yours argument - LOL
@TheZipCode hahahahah made me laugh so hard!!
"the one important thing is to stand up" i swear the Berlin wall was taken down...
She isn't, she is comparing it with life in Germany during the time when the Berlin Wall was standing - which was not during the war!
2:49 LMAO
@WakeUpDead13 yeah, she does. It's pretty badass, actually - I don't love the Eiffel Tower to the extent that Ms. Eiffel does, but I do love Paris so I think that tat is cool. All the same, I think I'll stick with an Eiffel Tower hoodie or t-shirt or something lol
omg i agree so badly
This argument is like they're trying to compete in the Oppression Olympics .
Admitting that its a reaction to some disgusting causes, is incredibly healthy and the way she talks about it all, meh, let her be.
@gleetzoid
Who? The german or the american?
But why don't they find other people that have gone through something similar and relate to and make a connection with them?
Does she have a tattoo of the eiffel tower on her chest?
Obviously all these people have had traumatic experiences that made they afraid to commit to human beings. Doesn't take a psychologist to figure it out.
@loveandmathematics99

SHe needs a lot of help
no its a picture of a bannana
I'm pretty sure objectum sexuals get a lot more mockery than homosexuals simply due to lack of understanding. Besides, there's no actual legal binding involved in marrying an object, which is why it is neither legal nor illegal.
...Do you think this lady could get Eiffel towered by the Eiffel tower?
German People: We reject this wall, a symbol of oppression and suffering!
Woman: "that's kind of like my family rejecting me. I am the Berlin Wall, break me, try to tear me down and I will still be here standing."
German People: Achtung! IS in no way related! crazy americans....
tbf it is though isnt it
All in all she wants tooo.. be just another brick in the wall *bass line*
they suffer from their own childhoods and projects this on objects. it´s a psychological disorder, a trauma, that makes them act like this..... i mean, for gods sake, she loves a fence ?!!?
"How can someone not love me."
How can anything humane love you are dispicaple.
Oh, so as long as the wall has brought joy and happiness to her, I guess it's ok that all those innocent people died.
wonder if she likes pink floyd
@moominxcorpse Amen.
hahahahhahha
i think the comparison between her and the berlin wall is beautiful.
I have a piece of the Berlin wall.... This is awkward. :|
ApocalypticRa Me too, I think I'll go find it later haha
How is it that a person can marry the Eiffel Tower or a amusement park ride, but if someone wants to marry a person of the same sex it is looked upon as a mockey to marrage and there for is not allowed in most parts of the world?
@RachelHC3 no.
i struggle to understand what compells PTSD people to share their life story with total strangers and try to compare lives. it should be private
sob story or not thats fucking wierd
They think there experiences with objects is the same as humans. Bull-shit!
These woman are Cheaters! 0_0 lol
this woman is crazy. they all are.
"When the pastor found out about Amy's sexual encounter with the church bannister..."
Os fight
Why the hell is it ok for these people to cheat (which of course they're not actually doing because the objects don't even know they EXIST) but it's considered immoral for everyone else?!
If you want to keep going to the church it might be wise to not rub your genitals on the interior. Just saying
Here's a thought: Why doesn't she use her personal experiences of being an unloved child in abusive foster homes to help other kids that have been in the foster care system instead of fucking objects in foreign countries that she believes she has a similar story with?
she should be ashamed of herself for saying all those things in comparison to the historical pain.
seems legit
How dare her try to say she understands what people on the west side of the berlin wall went through.
Does this female actually think that her experiences were anything like those horrors gone through by the poor people behind the Iron Curtain?? Geez!
these women need Jesus.
@Sablicious This crazy woman does not represent American "understanding" or lack there-of.
American is not a race. And no, the US did not win WWII. The US helped the allies to defeat the axis.
