I loved that tutorial and it looks great on you! I also want to add that not all fair skin is alike. The model in the video had soft, low to medium contrast and quite neutral colouring. But if you're one of those fair people with high contrast colouring (dark hair and blue eyes for example), this won't look the best on you - you may actually look amazing with black or jewel toned eyeliner or a bolder lip. Or if you have a lot more warmth / coolness in your colouring, you will need to use warmer / cooler toned products. I think the basic approach and her application are universal and excellent, but there's more to a fair skinned person's colouring and look than the fairness of their skin, so that's just something to keep in mind! On you Kate her approach looked really well because your colouring and contrast are similar to the models - you look gorgeous!!
Thank you. I find often "fair skin" is often a couple of shades darker than mine. Maybe we are "pale" and not "fair," but IDK, maybe there just aren't many fair-skinned models. I appreciate your take on the look! You look lovely! BTW, speaking of coloring, I am getting a new kitten (older kitten, maybe 5 months) from a recue organization, and she has the exact same coloring as Freddie, The only difference is my kitten will have 3 legs.
Yeah, I don't get it. "Fair" is almost always represented as something multiple shades deeper that I could never blend enough to look natural. Why don't they just go by "very light" or something?
I just recently switched to the Anastasia brow powder and I’ll never go back! I love it! So natural and takes me no time!!! I’m using my old pomades for lip and eye liners n my old ash blonde pomade for nose n jaw contouring
I love this look, Kate! I saw Andrea's video and thought how nice to have a back to basics looks. It suits you perfectly, and your skill is evident, as usual. Thanks xox
So excited to see you recreate this look, I just had seen Andreea Ali's video, I love her work and I also was excited to see her tips for fair skin. As always love seeing as a bonus your adorable fur babies😍. Hope you're well!💖
Thank you so much for doing this video! I'm extremely fair and I have so much trouble shade matching I also would love a tutorial on how to use my Nars creme bronzer in shade 01. I'm lost lol
Shade matching is always a challenge, for sure! Not sure if you’ve seen this video, but it might help with the Nars bronzer th-cam.com/video/MiB4ORWE0U4/w-d-xo.html 🥰 🥰
Hi Kate, yesterday I also watched Andrea's video. I found it also really interesting to see what she would create on fair skin with green eyes. I have fair skin too but not that fair than yours. Maby around the same depth than the model but I thought the model had a different undertone than me. ( and I have fair skin and green eyes, but my hair is a lot darker than yours or the hair from the model) ( sometimes I feel that it can change the appearance of the look also) ( but I am interested to give this look a go also) I happen to have the Nars eyeshadow palette ( I love that Andrea is a Nars fan, just like me) But that the only product I own, for the rest I have to find similar things in my draw. Thank you for sharing your take on the look. I love the result.
I agree with your comment about fair and pale skin. I too am pale but not too fair and I find it really difficult to find a foundation that matches me, I tried mont blanc from nars, it’s light but too yellow on my skin which makes me look ill. Foundations are always either too warm or too pink on me 🙄
Hi Inge! Interesting! I do think the model looked to have a very muted, neutral undertone, and by the sounds of it, you are maybe less muted and a bit more rosy? Thanks Inge, I’d love to hear how it goes if you try out the look! 🥰 🥰
Ahh wow that cough is really hanging on Michelle 😔 Mom is about the same.. doing better but still a bit of a cough and runny nose.. I’m ok but a but croaky 😂, yes, just like a mild cold. Thanks so much Michelle!! I’m glad you liked it!!❤ 🥰
I'm sorry but tell me again how her take on fair skin is any different from most professional makeup artist out there that are used to working with white women. Because as far as I'm concerned the industry was made for you and other white women in mind. And yes you are allowed to call me a hater 😂 I just think it's somewhat of a waste of topic and conversation. It's really not that difficult to go anywhere unless it's black owned or Latina owened and made specifically for women of color that you won't be able to find recommendations for your specific skin color/tone. It's nearly impossible. And what's crazy is that nothing that she used is actually revolutionary like to say that wow I found this specific product from new and upcoming brand that specifically is meant for women that look like you.
As a fair skinned Latina woman, I love Kate and no the makeup world wasn’t made for us. I never had a shade match when I was younger and was often mocked for being fair skinned. So go away hater!
You are wrong. You are talking about something you know nothing about. Very pale women have been left out of the shade range, as well, until just recently. One of the first companies to introduce shades for very pale skin was created by a brown-skinned woman, though- Fenty. Maybe you should use your energy in a more positive way to create positive change rather than complain in an ignorant fashion on the internet.
@@ralphandleosmom9075 Give me a break! Lol! How much do you get paid to kiss so much ass? I stand by what I said and no I'm not wrong. Who the F said anything about fair/ light skinned women being looked at in a negative light? Also I doubt you had those issues of not being able to find makeup that matches you in this country.

Fantastic points, Valeria, thank you for bringing that up - undertones and contrast level make a huge difference! 🥰 🥰
Part of why I watch you is because you are FAIR skinned like myself. Also, I loved how your cat was “helping you” during this video!!! 💕
Thanks Stacy! Haha glad you enjoyed the kitty 😻 🥰

My kitty is doing the same thing when I apply makeup. Great video as always - thanks for pointing me to Andrea Ali!
Aw, so cute 😻 ❤️ She’s great, hope you enjoy her videos!!
Oh Andrea Ali is one of the best! She’s a must watch for sure 👍
That kitty was adorable 🥰 lovely look, very curious about the burgundy liner and lashes /pillow talk mascara (have blue eyes). Might try it out!
😻 Yes, it’s a great alternative to black/ brown. I think it would look amazing on blue eyes! 🥰 🥰
Great video - I have found that less is more with my skin.
Thank you! I hear you! 🥰
I thought the same about referring to this model as fair-skinned ... I guess that makes us VERY fair ... Or "fairest of them all". Ha.
😂 😂 I like that 😉 🥰 🥰
I went and peeked at the model and thought the same ! She is darker then me for sure

Thank you! I didn’t get any transfer with this liner! 🥰 🥰
Is the Dior blush really that special/different than other similar blushes?
Hey Kate 🤗🤗 looking forward to watching … how’s you all doing ? ♥️

If your complaint is that you can't find a good skin depth match and undertone match, you have the exact same makeup concerns as pale skin.

It is more about cool tones . . . almost ALL creators go in heavy with warm tones. One thing about YT is you don't have to watch . . . your choice.
