Great episode. The "Hello, Zuko here :)" moments are iconic and hilarious and I love the different reactions everyone has to Zuko joining the group, perfectly in-line with what they experienced so far. Toph is thinking rationally, Sokka is reluctant but also keeps the main goal in mind of taking down the fire lord, Aang is torn due to his past experiences with Zuko but also having had fire nation friends and understanding what it's like to hurt someone on accident by fire bending recklessly, while Katara threatens him with that cold ass speech having been greatly betrayed by him before. All the dots in this show connect so beautifully, it's amazing
They didn’t explain combustion man at all really, but combustion bending is an off shoot of fire bending. Its implied that the people who learned it were tortured to learn it, which might be why combustion man is missing an arm and a leg. Combustion bending is all about focus, the blasts will go to wherever the user can see, which is why when combustion man had blurry vision his focus was right in front of his own face so he exploded himself.
Well Zuko killing Ozai would have caused enormous political tension. It would have been seen symbolically as a power hungry son deposing his father to any outsiders, sparking further war If the Avatar, symbol of unity of all nations ends Ozai, it gives political legitimacy to the end of Fire Nation’s current regime and allows Zuko to step up without too much opposition and controversy (relatively speaking)
10:04 That random graphic was hilarious for some reason. Now that you brought up that Toph snuck up on someone with a lot of enemies, up to that exact point, Zuko has the ENTIRE world against him. Quite literally everyone besides 2 people being his mom and Iroh (maybe Mai) at that point. Hes a traitor and still and a public enemy of the avatar. Im suprised how well Zuko actuall hanndled this.
she didn’t tell them that she’s snuck up on him all she said that it wasn’t accident not the reason for the accident so I think they are completely justified

He listened to Zuko before because he was the respected prince again, but once he left after the eclipse he was labeled a traitor again so he lost any pull over Combustion Man

I do find it a bit funny when people think that when characters talk about killing other characters in creative ways it's because it's "a kids show" when they forget all the times in this show that characters say they'll kill characters or say that people died or got killed all the time.

The way Katara checks Zuko at the end of the episode is one of my favorite moments in the show.
That final scene with Katara ALWAYS gives me goosepumps.
