2:41 man, he asked a great question and then right as Chip was going to answer he talked all over him and never got what Chip was going to originally say.
Enjoy Mike Davis but when somebody like the great Chip Ganassi is on the pod please just please let the person tell his story without bringing up something you half remember but dont remember then it adds nothing to the discussion but ticks time.
In Mike's defense, it seems you have to pull information out of Chip to get answers. Interviews probably aren't his thing. Well respected from everyone in the industry and that's still evident.
Mike brings up some good points in interviews. I especially like it when Jr. doesn’t dig deep enough n he takes the plunge or looks at it from a different angle
@@ajdahun He does which is why i said i enjoy Mike, but he has a habit of speaking what hes thinking before its thought out. When doing doing interviews vs just sitting and talking to JR just would personally like to leave the "one time i remember you did this, wait was that you? Maybe i dont remember but i remember something like that." That right there clicked off 7mins from this video alone.
These are the ones I want to hear from…you can do all these others but when you have these guys with some great history and stories to tell them I’ll be here listening!!!
Chip is the real deal. My dads best friend back in the 80’s was the president of Honda racing. Tom Elliot was his name, and I meet chip and all his drivers at a race at Gateway.
Well done getting Chip to come on. LEGEND. Looking forward to the Dario show. Losing 10 million ugh. DC Solar. Nobody saw that coming. Takes a special kind of person to be able to maintain the kind of success all of his organizations have for as long as they have.
Jr, and Chip could run a hell of a team together. Ol’ Treasa will be crying seeing the Earnhardt/Ganassi together again. If they do team up they better lawyer up cause Im sure she will trying to sue them for something.
What a great guy - met him at St Pete race walking down the street, through the historic area just off the street race track, beautiful vista there on the water, by an airport too - couldn't have been nicer! He'd be an amazing asset to JRM to advance to Cup - and PS he knows you're Dale F- ing Jr 😍 M in Miami ; )
I really like Chip's personality and attitude. Wish I were a driver in the sport, I would would love to have driven for him. Now I am 59, only wish I could be an able body at the track doing something. I just want to be a part of something that I love, I don't care whether it be asphalt or dirt.
Out of all these NASCAR people, between the officials, broadcasters, and other team owners, Chip seems to have about the most sense and class of all of them. Honestly. Would love to sit and pick his brain for an afternoon over a couple beers
It was tough being a fan of Chip Ganassi. I was a fan of Davey Allison and when he died I just followed the car. Man there was some weird decisions by this owner.
@@austinwiseman3186 [in a tone of revelation acknowledgement] Ah! I get it. After giving it further thought . . . The relationship between a performer and an owner can get tenuous, both are obligated to give 100% but, being fair to each other is when things get rocky. To make one or the other desirable can be tricky to interpret, you may have all of the best equipment and personnel but finding that trigger to get that last 1% from everyone is the tough part, even the janitor is important if they "click" with the performer or the owner, seemingly mundane things at times may make or break a relationship, especially when it comes to that last little "umph" over others in the same position.

Alex is a reserve driver for McLaren, will be the reserve driver when his Indycar season is over. What happened is very plain and simple, the kid has the points for a Super License, and an F1 team that happens to also have an Indy team is interested. Things worked out well for all parties involved, because Chip is the man.
First time clicking a racing related video out of morbid curiosity in a long time and it's still the same old thing. Amazing how brainwashed fans get about this podcast. Ganassi was a horrible decision maker in NASCAR, Trackhouse was instantly a title contender, something Ganassi really never was. Have him hang out with Jr and the fanbase loves him. Bizarre.
If you make racing profitable you don’t have back up income then you don’t last long. You just keep doing it or do it just for fun. I think that Indy is his real passion. Not nascar probably why he left.
One race day sometime back in the 90s , I and my friends were on top of the hill in laguna seca's campground during the indy car race , chips team had a bad day and chip wanted to get out of the raceway quick , but of course the monterey county sheriff's department pulled him over for speeding , right in front of us !!!!!! We yelled at the sheriff's to let him go , chip almost was in cuffs but they finally let him go , don't feel bad chip , the sheriff's booted me out of laguna a few times , they wrote one ticket for an unregistered golf cart and then booted me out !!!!!!!
The best thing Larson ever did was say the worse thing a person could ever say. He got fired from Chip went and raced sprint cars won 🏆 tons of races and Rick came calling. Best thing that could have possibly happened!!!!

FACTS and he is easy to get along with the INDYCar Fans!
2:41 man, he asked a great question and then right as Chip was going to answer he talked all over him and never got what Chip was going to originally say.
Why the hell have we not seen much of him until now? I'd have been rooting for him a lot more if I had seen him like this! Seems like a great dude!
I have met Scott Dixon a handful of times in the mid-2000s. Just a down to earth straight up DAWG and super nice guy.
This is the first interview I’ve seen with Chip (that wasn’t during a race weekend) he sure is a real honest straight shooter!
Same here. I had no idea he was so cool.
Mr Ganassi. Thank you for putting on there for us. Much respect!
Chip is a great interview. I could watch you interview him for hours on end. Never saw him and Teresa together.......
Would definitely love to see Dario on the show
I really like this man and enjoyed the conversation. I hope these comments get read by Dirty Mo folks.
Ganassi and Jr involved in a race team sounds pretty awesome to me. Smells like victory ✌️

Almost genuine, honest conversations around motorsport- Thanks Dale!
i hope you have CHIP back to talk some more. i would love to hear about ALEX & JIMMY/ZANARDI&VASSER
