- Two jackals from kgalagadi park were barking at a leopard for being too close to their den. This only angered the leopard and they ended up hunting down one of the jackals.

It actually looks like they caught a bat eared fox. Certainly a Jackal barking at them but I'm not so sure they actually caught a Jackal...

Yeah definitely a bat-eared fox they caught and a black-backed jackal barking at them.
It's a rare enough sighting to see the elusive leopard during an active hunt, but it's _exceptionally_ rare to witness them catching a fox.

Yes, the mother leopard was teaching junior how to hunt. She brought live prey (bat eared fox ) to junior to hone his skills. Poor fox.
The mother dropped it and had to catch it again.

The jackals just want the scraps. This bat eared fox was in the wrong place at the wrong time. They don't usually hassle other predators like jackal's do.

Looks to me that what we have here is a female leopard and her nearly full grown offspring. And they didn't catch a jackal.
The predator became the prey....it’s a dog eat dog world, so to speak (or, more literally in this case, a cat (Felidae) eat dog (Caninae) world).
