Ok so I know it isn’t even Halloween yet, but we’d really like to make a Christmas album this month, and we are SO CLOSE to reaching our goal! If you’d like to help make that happen, just go to patreon.com/pomplamoose. I know we’ve been promoting the f* out of our Patreon this month, but that’s just because we’re crazy ambitious and Patreon determines our budget for these projects. Our patrons make these recording sessions possible. And we are soooo excited about this Holiday EP!!! We want to hire strings and horn players and a bunch of other talented people to make an amazing album. So if you’d like to be a part of it...you know where to go :)
Terrific backup vocals. Love the song. Nataly's controlled energy and vocal attack through out the song is perfect. Excellent band as always. Great to see Nataly's progress as a vocalist. Keep the breaths deep and the mouth open.
Prince wrote the groove and gave it to Janelle. He had a lot of input on that record. "Americans" sounds just like "Let's Go Crazy", too. I love that you guys really stayed in the groove with this one. It feels electronic like Janelle's, but has that warm mid-tone acoustic feel as well.
Whaa? I smell drum machine. That drummer is back there giving it his all, but that's not what we're hearing. Not that it's a bad choice to engineer too much drum out of the tracks. I just hope the drummer is not resentful that his work was dumped in favor of something... cleaner. Good product.
All Nataly needs are the round shades and purple velvet pants to pull off the perfect Prince imitation. She already has the vocals down perfectly. Fantastic work. And I love how the bassist is just jamming along in his own world.

Very cool to hear everybody holding off from overplaying on this one. That groove was insane!
I love how you kept in the funk element of the original song but spun it to sound like a bit of Prince with the guitars and breaks along with that snare. Once again, you knock it out of the park.
You're very good guys, all of you, thanks for sharing your passion for good music. It's weird because the drums and the guitar make me think about Prince sound.
Utterly brilliant arrangement and performance. Well done! And don't worry too much about how many Christmas songs you write. You can always fall back on the classics, like "O Come, O Come Emmanuel," "Silent Night," or "Christmas at Ground Zero."
Usually your clips start with a close-up of the lead singer's face: Eyes wide open, hardly blinking or moving. Each time the same thought pops into my mind: "like a deer in the headlights". But never mind that, your obviously an incredibly good singer and I just love the funky sound you and your band create. (Keep feeding the poor drummer in his isolation chamber 😉)

Good luck with unraveling the chaos and have fun with the Christmas songs! You will totally rock it. 💙
Jack's face at 2:26 just gets me. It's almost like it's so groove he's angry about it.
Elliot Blanchfield true that
The other day I had the thought “Pomplamoose should cover a Monae song.”
This really grooves. Keep up the great work.
What a damn good song. The arrangement is slick. Feels like there's plenty of open space while also sounding full as hell (if that makes any sense).
Oh my god these vocals! Nataly, your vocal control is just insane!
Awwwwww...thank you :)
Maybe feeding off the full band, but I feel like I’ve been hearing more confidence and sass these days.

Here for Jack's expressions... did not disappoint! (..oh, and the music too...) KEEP IT UP!!!
Ooooooohhhhhh MINOR BRAG, I could smell the Prince flava on this as soon as I heard the drums . IM.IN.LOVE!!!
Haha. Totally. It's got Prince written all over it.

Ernest Sewell I had a feeling. They pretty much took the groove from “kiss” and sang janelle over it tho. Like it was almost a prince mash up
That break at 1:04

This one is definitely going into my list of favourite Pomplamoose videos, it's gonna be on repeat!
I can only hope that Janelle sees this. This is how covers should be conceived. Thank you so much for doing a Janelle song.
Your songs always put a smile in my face, no matter how hard was the day.
Thank you all.
Greetings from Brasil!
Love the tune! I also love seeing the split screen back like the early videos.
love your new direction but i will always love this side of pomplamoose 😊
Stankface Keyboardist was on point, as always, with his Stankfaces.
Daaaaaamn. So funky. So so funky. And yet so low key.
Besides the talent, I'm blown away by the arrangements. It's not easy to come up with consistently great compositions and execution.
My favorite songer (song/singer) perform by my favorite band.
Murphy's law does exist.
Don't think that's what Murphy's law is about. It's pretty much the opposite in fact.
Beautiful women! Beautiful voices! And great musicians. Fun!!!!

YESS!! Pomplamoose + Janelle= perfect combination!!
Jack's keyboard face reminds me of one of my favorite guitarists, the late Hans Reffert. Make it funky!
That pre chorus with the half steps going down, awesome.
Pomplamoose is like a rare pokemon that have many stages of evolution
I love how you kept in the funk element of the original song but spun it to sound like a bit of Prince with the guitars and breaks along with that snare. Once again, you knock it out of the park.
My music teacher told me about this channel and now I’m addicted to watching your videos instead of practicing my piano and voice
What a great thing to wake up to!
Oh man, I love this cover! And how many bands are this much fun to watch record and perform? I can't think of anyone quite them. SO GOOD
such an amazing feel to it! Have never seen someone make the original so much richer in every respect
I love how the video production quality is slowly going up and up with each video. Tiny teases each time. Rock (funk) on guys!
Literally one of my favourite songs covered by one of my favourite artists. Thank you guys!!! 🙏

HOT JAMS
Nataly has this insane ability to be the best mix of gooey sexiness and awkward/oddballness I've ever seen. Put that on a t-shirt.
So excited by the idea of listening to a "Donny Hathaway - This Christmas" Mashup/cover by pamplamoose !!! :D
