  • Vehicles continue to scurry across the tracks ahead of the southbound 213, even after the crossing arms drop down. We need Operation Lifesaver down here.
The locomotives appear to have a rather rough ride across the junction where the 2 tracks become 1. NS maintenance crews seem to work on that switch a lot. I wonder if the Town of Grover should be concerned about this.
There's some interesting cargo here, maybe truck or trailer chassis.
An ex-Conrail (you can tell by the horn, I think it's a Leslie R3SL) EMD SD60M leads the locomotive consist. It's followed by an ex-Union Pacific (now HLCX) SD60, and bringing up the rear is a Dash 9 40-CW. This train must have been at least 2 miles long.

Thanks for showing the whole train. The pan did cut off the 89' flatcar I wanted to see at 3:49, but thanks nonetheless.

Sorry about missing the flatcar. I probably should be using 2 cameras.

I live down the road from Grover NC and I don't recognize this spot. Did you mean Highway 216?

The train number was 213. The video was taken from the big parking lot in Grover.

I believe the location is the perking lot across from the Grover VFD, the crossing where people were being stupid is Carolina Ave and the crossing he was close to is Cherry Street. The road on the other side of the tracks is 216 or M.H. Camp Highway.

@@YankeeTen13 Exactly right. The road on the other side of the tracks is US Highway 29 or M.H. Camp Hwy. Highway 216 turns left about a mile and a half north or Grover and goes to Kings Mountain National Park.

@@boardman49 I live in Kings Mountain, and have watched trains from that lot, including the Amtrak 20, before it started running hours late lol
      Thank you for the video.
