Sounds like the chambered pipes, but the good ones had endura bumpers, no hidaway headlights, factory headers, dual holly three barrels, and console delete. Special dealer sheet with "secret options" even had stuff like hollow blots throughout.
You guys are a hoot! Nice car, but gotta question the 3:73 gear mention. Sounds more like the 308-323 range; 1st gear is way too long for anything numerically higher than that. Maybe put it on a rack and check the tire / driveshaft rotation count?
You are actually wrong I have a 1969 z28 x33 car all number matching, the transmission never been took out, the engine never been token out.. I’m the 2nd owner of the car and it has a hurst shifter..
Bought my new 1969 Z/28 in July got married in August and had a blast driving it thru the Rocky Mountians on our honeymoon !
That sounds like the best honeymoon ever! A Camaro on some mountain roads 😎
Sweet ride
How much

Somebody show me a “holly three barrel”
@@RonConrad-pl6hc Don't know much about the real Zs do you.
Zs came standard with 3.73 rear end 4.10, 4.56, and 4.88 optional.
My, my, my.
You couldn't get a X-77 with the RS front-end.
Exactly

3:73 is correct. High rev engine.
My Z had 3:73 which was I think the standard ratio .
I agree on the awesomeness of the car but I gotta be that guy to mention no zs came with hurst shifters they came with the inferior muncys
