I wish they did more with Daisy, like have her appear in the main series or Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi games where they can give her dialogue. I bet she would make a great character in those games. What I hate is how people call Daisy a "Peach Clone" just because of their similar designs. Thats really stupid since if she was a peach clone then she would act, look, and talk exactly like Peach, which she dosen't. She's actually a very original character, and people just don't get that since she's only appeared in spin-off games.

Peach on the other hand has the lowest speed (and other stats that are presumably lower than Daisy's) but the highest skill stats to make up for it, perfect for Gymnastics and such. Additionally, Mario Tennis has also provided them with different attributes over the years, turning Daisy from being a technical player like Peach to an All-Around like Mario and Luigi, hell they even gave her a pair of shorts instead of a tennis skirt to further differentiate her from Peach, and to showcase her tomboyish flower power!

I refer to her as video gaming's equivalent of Megan Fox. I understand she's supposed to be calm and collected given her history, but that still shouldn't restrict her from making more than 2 facial expressions. - She's actually an even more worthless damsel-in-distress than Peach. Think about it: Rosalina needs HELP, HELP being the keyword here, to get her comet observatory to be fully-functional again. Mario is the one going all around the universe collecting all of the power stars and doing all of the dirty work while she does as little as lift a finger. Her home is low on power, yet she enlists the HELP of some man to set things right, probably because she's absolutely hopeless. Sure shows how willing she is to get a little sweaty now and then. At least Peach has gotten in on the action more times. For the love of Pete, she was the first one to leap into the Sprixie Kingdom to rescue the place from Bowser's clutches. - Remember that "incredibly sad and heart-wrenching" backstory of hers. Here's a little something you should all know about it: it's unwarranted baloney! First of all, it actually fails to be moving and emotional. Because Rosalina's story is being blatantly told to us via bland text, you can't really feel any emotions, because it's null and void of the personal touch. The story would truly be effective if we ever saw Rosalina get choked up by it, shed a tear, or at least put a little whimper in her voice, but she never does. If she doesn't get worked up by her own backstory, why should we? Second of all, Mario games were never about story. They were about gameplay and platforming. A game needs a center of focus, and the center of focus for the Mario platforming games is the platforming and gameplay Granted, there are platforming games that have masterfully combined a clear, concise narrative with on-par gameplay, but Super Mario Galaxy is not one of those games. It has the platforming part down, but the backstory feels like it was a last minute idea thrown in a week before the game was released. Third of all, if there is ever to be a Mario game that revolves around a narrative, it should be reserved for the Mario RPG games, because THOSE are story-driven, yet still retain adequate gameplay mechanics. - In spite of her lack of depth, sadly, she's still beloved. It's true; she has a lot of fans even though she's duller than a brick, and that just makes me sad. I thought we were living in a world where people hunger for interesting, charismatic, admirable characters that we can relate to in a way. But Rosalina's proof that that's not entirely true. As long as someone has a smidgen of sex appeal, they're instantly a role model, and that's simply not how things should be. - Finally, the majority of her fan base consists of horny degenerates. Phew! I'm so glad to get that off my chest. I've felt this way for quite a while, and hopefully, so has someone else out there.

I love Daisy and Luigi’s relationship more than Mario and Peach. Unlike the latter, who both suffer from one-dimensional personalities, Luigi and Daisy’s personalities are not only more interesting but also work well off each other. Luigi is the shy but sweet guy who’s easy to scare while Daisy is the tough tomboy princess who doesn’t take nonsense from anyone. Their both polar opposites yet compliment each other so well. I can easily imagine Daisy as the male-wife who always stands up for Luigi and push him to be more self-confidant, while Luigi helps Daisy calm down and serve as her emotional support when it comes to her fiery temper. It’s just so cute and I wish Nintendo would do more with them…

I love tomboys, I have found tomboys attractive, and yes I would date one as long it is not a stereotype tomboy. Princess Daisy is my favourite Mario female. She's outgoing, boisterous, pretty, sassy and really funny. She actually has a personality. I'll always choose my Lady of Sarasaland over the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom and that celestial bimbo [sorry Rosa fans :3]
I've always loved Daisy's character, as well as Luigi's. Daisy's confident, tom-boyish attitude and Luigi's shy/cowardly actions, but brave when needed most work really well to give some great character moments. Their counterparts on the other hand, are WAY too boring. Mario is just a stereotypical Italian and the stereotypical hero who saves the princess from some random evil monster. And Peach is just the princess in distress who is too lazy to run from danger, or even face it head on, despite having plenty of time to react, depending on her 'hero' to save her.

Daisy is one of my favorite princesses but nobody gives her respect just because the way she is I am a very weird tomboy but some people just don't appreciate my personality the way it is I remember last year when I was in 4th grade a new kid came to my class room they got his first and last name I see up and thought his first name was Walter but it turned out his real name was Less Walter. one time during P.E Lexx fell and I helped him which his cut and we were instantly friends and one time Lexx started dating my friend Kelly and when I found out I kept bugging them about it and they got mad and shut me out I was mad because I was jealous. And one time I asked Lexx how much did he like me as a girlfriend and he said 50 percent and I said I liked him as a boyfriend 50 percent too then he said Hey 50 + 50 = 100! And I said yeah you're right and then from that day on we started dating and I still love Lexx and miss him because I switched schools this year. But the point is Lexx was the only person who made me feel special and he loved my personality be cause he is goofy and sweet and cute and adorable
I agree, Daisy needs more love from everyone! From nintendo and other people. The same reason I keep hearing why people don't like Daisy is because she's annoying. They also expand on that statement by bring up "HI I'm Daisy"... I honestly think people who bring that line up are more annoying than Daisy saying that. But now since Daisy is in Super Mario Run, some people think that its not a mainline mario game, just because Daisy is in it... Sure, she may not have a backstory like Rosalina or have had fully freashed out character development, but that doesn't make her not important. If anything, it just makes her mysterious. Forget Rosalina being the mysterious one, we saw her backstory, we know where she came from and who she is. We've only seen Daisy's kingdom once in SML for the gameboy. We don't know what its like, we've heard from her dad but never seen him, and we don't know what Daisy does when she's not in a spin off game. We know that Peach pretty much hangs out by her castle most of the time, we know that Rosalina watches over the cosmos, but we don't know what Daisy does. Until Nintendo shows some background character development on Daisy, she will remain a mystery. The last argument I mostly here is this...: DAISY IS A PEACH CLONE! Now this arguement honestly makes no sense to me. Just because Peach and Daisy wear the same clothes, doesn't mean Daisy is a peach clone. And why is Daisy the clone? 1) They don't even look the same! Yeah, sure of course they have the same dress style, but their actual bodies and personalities are so different. 2) They both got their first new dress at the same time! They wore matching dresses back in 2000 in mario tennis 64. Like I said, they both got new dresses, and they both look the same. So why is Daisy the "clone" if they both got their new dresses at the same time. Its not like Daisy copied that dress of Peach in a past game. 3) Why do so many people bring up Daisy being a Peach clone, but not look at Rosalina! (no hate on rosa). Look, I'll explain it to you below: peach and daisy similarities: -same dress peach and daisy differences: -different face structure -different hair -different nose -different eyes -different personalities -different voice -differnet lips -daisy can double jump while peach can float peach and rosalina similarities: -same eyes -same face structure -both blonde -same high voice -both polite -same lips peach and rosalina differences: -different dresses -rosalina can spin attack while peach can float See what I mean? Rosalina has more similarities to Peach, than Daisy does. I guess people hate Daisy so much and love Rosalina so much, that they can't even take a second to observe everyone. But in the end, Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina are not clones of each other or anyone else. Well, there are actually clones like: Pink gold peach metal mario tanooki mario fire mario ice marioo etc. the list goes on with different mario powerups.
I actually got a Daisy plush in the mail today. This makes me happy. She deserves more love. It's really sad Nintendo isn't too willing to give her attention. From Mario Maker to the main series, it really feels like they hate her. Yet, she's still loved enough to get plushies. Daisy has been my favorite character for about 5 years now. I first experienced her from my brother and from the game "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games." I always played as Daisy cause I loved her so much! It's too bad that she didn't get to be in Smash but I'm hopeful she'll be in the next one! I am honestly sad as hell Daisy isn’t used more. Of all people real and fictional I have never been more closely related to Daisy. I’m a loud party hard kind of person so is she. I love sports so does she. I’m a great soccer player so is she. We both wear the number 9 on our jerseys. I’m a man of western culture so is she. And there are more obscure details but quite a few. The only 2 differences between us is she is a girl and she actually has a successful love life. Maybe I shouldn’t be this connected to a fictional character but I honestly can’t help myself. I have friends but I always feel alone is this world sometimes betrayed sometimes I just hate life in general but Daisy is someone I’ll never lose. Damn that was creepy. Finally, someone agrees with me. I'm personally tired of seeing Rosalina everywhere. I mean, she was only in 2 or 3 major Mario games and a few of the spin off games when Daisy was in a heck of a lot more than that and she barely gets any attention! What the frik is up with that?! To be honest, when I was a bit younger, I use to love Daisy, she was my favorite character. But then, to me her voice was annoying so I stopped liking her. Fast forward to a couple years later, I started to appreciate Daisy again. Now that I'm older and I understand feelings of characters and their personalities, Daisy has become one of my favorites again. Every time I play a Mario sports game, such as Mario Power Tennis, I ALWAYS put Luigi and Daisy on a team. When I hear Luigi's theme from Mario Strikers Charged, all I think about is Luigi and Daisy dancing together. The thing that really made me love the Luigi and Daisy couple was Daisy Circuit in Mario Kart Wii. All of the statues with Luigi and Daisy just made me really love the couple. Also, if they make another Luigi's Mansion game, they should have Luigi rescue Daisy. (Sorry for the long comment, I just really like Daisy)

What I hate is how people call Daisy a "Peach Clone" just because of their similar designs. Thats really stupid since if she was a peach clone then she would act, look, and talk exactly like Peach, which she dosen't. She's actually a very original character, and people just don't get that since she's only appeared in spin-off games.

Additionally, Mario Tennis has also provided them with different attributes over the years, turning Daisy from being a technical player like Peach to an All-Around like Mario and Luigi, hell they even gave her a pair of shorts instead of a tennis skirt to further differentiate her from Peach, and to showcase her tomboyish flower power!

Like you said, in Mario Tennis ultra smash them put Daisy among the all-around characters which is better because over time we saw that Daisy, being a tomboy, has always had a mix of speed, strength, defense, technique etc. in her sports skills.

1. She has a lot of energy compared to other female characters and even compared to some male characters.
2. She is a girl who loves sports, and she does not care much of her physical appearance (in fact she never wears make-up)
3. she is more rude than the other girls, when in fact she does not get lost or something gets angry much more than other girls.
4. she is much faster, athletic and powerful than most of the characters (if not all of them).
Why Daisy is not a Peach clone?
1. she was created for various purposes:
-become the princess of a new kingdom completely foreign to the Mushroom Kingdom,
-become the Luigi girlfriend,
-become the Peach best friend.
After eight or nine years of absence Daisy has been reinserted in the Mario series in Mario Tennis for:
-lack of female characters,
-lack of human characters,
-tribute to her creator. (probably).
2.although in Super Mario Land her personality was similar (if we include the comics of the game) to the Peach personality, but over time her personality has evolved and now can not be compared in any way to the Peach personality!
This is why Daisy may not be a clone, in fact clones are only copies of other characters and have no purpose or they have one but it is little importance.

- She's anything but an interesting character, what with her monotone voice and incapability to emote. I refer to her as video gaming's equivalent of Megan Fox. I understand she's supposed to be calm and collected given her history, but that still shouldn't restrict her from making more than 2 facial expressions.
- She's actually an even more worthless damsel-in-distress than Peach. Think about it: Rosalina needs HELP, HELP being the keyword here, to get her comet observatory to be fully-functional again. Mario is the one going all around the universe collecting all of the power stars and doing all of the dirty work while she does as little as lift a finger. Her home is low on power, yet she enlists the HELP of some man to set things right, probably because she's absolutely hopeless. Sure shows how willing she is to get a little sweaty now and then. At least Peach has gotten in on the action more times. For the love of Pete, she was the first one to leap into the Sprixie Kingdom to rescue the place from Bowser's clutches.
- Remember that "incredibly sad and heart-wrenching" backstory of hers. Here's a little something you should all know about it: it's unwarranted baloney! First of all, it actually fails to be moving and emotional. Because Rosalina's story is being blatantly told to us via bland text, you can't really feel any emotions, because it's null and void of the personal touch. The story would truly be effective if we ever saw Rosalina get choked up by it, shed a tear, or at least put a little whimper in her voice, but she never does. If she doesn't get worked up by her own backstory, why should we? Second of all, Mario games were never about story. They were about gameplay and platforming. A game needs a center of focus, and the center of focus for the Mario platforming games is the platforming and gameplay Granted, there are platforming games that have masterfully combined a clear, concise narrative with on-par gameplay, but Super Mario Galaxy is not one of those games. It has the platforming part down, but the backstory feels like it was a last minute idea thrown in a week before the game was released. Third of all, if there is ever to be a Mario game that revolves around a narrative, it should be reserved for the Mario RPG games, because THOSE are story-driven, yet still retain adequate gameplay mechanics.
- In spite of her lack of depth, sadly, she's still beloved. It's true; she has a lot of fans even though she's duller than a brick, and that just makes me sad. I thought we were living in a world where people hunger for interesting, charismatic, admirable characters that we can relate to in a way. But Rosalina's proof that that's not entirely true. As long as someone has a smidgen of sex appeal, they're instantly a role model, and that's simply not how things should be.
- Finally, the majority of her fan base consists of horny degenerates.

I love Daisy and Luigi’s relationship more than Mario and Peach. Unlike the latter, who both suffer from one-dimensional personalities, Luigi and Daisy’s personalities are not only more interesting but also work well off each other. Luigi is the shy but sweet guy who’s easy to scare while Daisy is the tough tomboy princess who doesn’t take nonsense from anyone. Their both polar opposites yet compliment each other so well. I can easily imagine Daisy as the male-wife who always stands up for Luigi and push him to be more self-confidant, while Luigi helps Daisy calm down and serve as her emotional support when it comes to her fiery temper. It’s just so cute and I wish Nintendo would do more with them…

I've always loved Daisy's character, as well as Luigi's. Daisy's confident, tom-boyish attitude and Luigi's shy/cowardly actions, but brave when needed most work really well to give some great character moments. Their counterparts on the other hand, are WAY too boring.
Mario is just a stereotypical Italian and the stereotypical hero who saves the princess from some random evil monster. And Peach is just the princess in distress who is too lazy to run from danger, or even face it head on, despite having plenty of time to react, depending on her 'hero' to save her.

Daisy is one of my favorite Mario characters!!! She's REALLY underrated and deserves more love. I'm tired of people saying she's annyoing just because of the "Hi, I'm Daisy" thing, I mean come on people! What is your deal? i wish they'd give daisy some more spotlight, the fact she's a tomboy, confident, sassy, and clearly athletic she'd be a good smash character but they probably didn't put her in because she doesn't have a lot of moves to choose from since she doesn't have her own games to reference any unique moves

Daisy is one of my favorite princesses but nobody gives her respect just because the way she is I am a very weird tomboy but some people just don't appreciate my personality the way it is I remember last year when I was in 4th grade a new kid came to my class room they got his first and last name I see up and thought his first name was Walter but it turned out his real name was Less Walter. one time during P.E Lexx fell and I helped him which his cut and we were instantly friends and one time Lexx started dating my friend Kelly and when I found out I kept bugging them about it and they got mad and shut me out I was mad because I was jealous. And one time I asked Lexx how much did he like me as a girlfriend and he said 50 percent and I said I liked him as a boyfriend 50 percent too then he said Hey 50 + 50 = 100! And I said yeah you're right and then from that day on we started dating and I still love Lexx and miss him because I switched schools this year. But the point is Lexx was the only person who made me feel special and he loved my personality be cause he is goofy and sweet and cute and adorable

I agree, Daisy needs more love from everyone! From nintendo and other people. The same reason I keep hearing why people don't like Daisy is because she's annoying. They also expand on that statement by bring up "HI I'm Daisy"... I honestly think people who bring that line up are more annoying than Daisy saying that. Plus she only said "Hi I'm Daisy" in Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games. So, for people saying she keeps saying that, need I remind you that she only said that in 2 games that was years ago so basically, your making yourself annoyed.
Another argument I keep hearing why people don't like Daisy is because she's not "important"... *sigh* If Daisy wasn't important, she wouldn't keep reappearing in the spin off games, even though everyone claims that spin offs aren't canon. And she also appeared in Super Mario Run to be a playable character alongside the main cast! But now since Daisy is in Super Mario Run, some people think that its not a mainline mario game, just because Daisy is in it... Sure, she may not have a backstory like Rosalina or have had fully freashed out character development, but that doesn't make her not important. If anything, it just makes her mysterious. Forget Rosalina being the mysterious one, we saw her backstory, we know where she came from and who she is. We've only seen Daisy's kingdom once in SML for the gameboy. We don't know what its like, we've heard from her dad but never seen him, and we don't know what Daisy does when she's not in a spin off game. We know that Peach pretty much hangs out by her castle most of the time, we know that Rosalina watches over the cosmos, but we don't know what Daisy does. Until Nintendo shows some background character development on Daisy, she will remain a mystery.
The last argument I mostly here is this...:
DAISY IS A PEACH CLONE!
Now this arguement honestly makes no sense to me. Just because Peach and Daisy wear the same clothes, doesn't mean Daisy is a peach clone. And why is Daisy the clone?
1) They don't even look the same! Yeah, sure of course they have the same dress style, but their actual bodies and personalities are so different.
2) They both got their first new dress at the same time! They wore matching dresses back in 2000 in mario tennis 64. Like I said, they both got new dresses, and they both look the same. So why is Daisy the "clone" if they both got their new dresses at the same time. Its not like Daisy copied that dress of Peach in a past game.
3) Why do so many people bring up Daisy being a Peach clone, but not look at Rosalina! (no hate on rosa). Look, I'll explain it to you below:
peach and daisy similarities:
-same dress
peach and daisy differences:
-different face structure
-different hair
-different nose
-different eyes
-different personalities
-different voice
-differnet lips
-daisy can double jump while peach can float
peach and rosalina similarities:
-same eyes
-same face structure
-both blonde
-same high voice
-both polite
-same lips
peach and rosalina differences:
-different dresses
-rosalina can spin attack while peach can float
See what I mean? Rosalina has more similarities to Peach, than Daisy does. I guess people hate Daisy so much and love Rosalina so much, that they can't even take a second to observe everyone. But in the end, Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina are not clones of each other or anyone else.
Well, there are actually clones like:
Pink gold peach
metal mario
tanooki mario
fire mario
ice marioo
etc. the list goes on with different mario powerups.
Why does Nintendo put all the personality and likable traits into characters who never get a spotlight?

I actually got a Daisy plush in the mail today. This makes me happy. She deserves more love. It's really sad Nintendo isn't too willing to give her attention. From Mario Maker to the main series, it really feels like they hate her. Yet, she's still loved enough to get plushies. Granted, only two official plush toys have been made of her, but it is something. Keep shining on, Daisy. We love you.

Daisy is my favorite character and it honestly bothers me how she came out in 1989 and Rosalinda came out in 2007 and she is way more popular for some reason. Like Daisy is a badass.
I loved Daisy since mario party 3, the fisrt game were I saw her, she seemed so full of live, I couldn't help it 😂 A shame she isn't the protagonist of any game, I'd love to see more of her and Luigi.

I've always loved Daisy the most.
Daisy has been my favorite character for about 5 years now. I first experienced her from my brother and from the game "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games." I always played as Daisy cause I loved her so much! It's too bad that she didn't get to be in Smash but I'm hopeful she'll be in the next one! I play my Mario Kart 7 game and always choose Daisy because she's an amazing character! I don't care what haters think about Daisy, she deserves a whole lot of love! (Btw the ending wanted me to hug Daisy)

I am honestly sad as hell Daisy isn’t used more. Of all people real and fictional I have never been more closely related to Daisy. I’m a loud party hard kind of person so is she. I love sports so does she. I’m a great soccer player so is she. We both wear the number 9 on our jerseys. I’m a man of western culture so is she. And there are more obscure details but quite a few. The only 2 differences between us is she is a girl and she actually has a successful love life. Maybe I shouldn’t be this connected to a fictional character but I honestly can’t help myself. I have friends but I always feel alone is this world sometimes betrayed sometimes I just hate life in general but Daisy is someone I’ll never lose. Damn that was creepy. I’m not like this all the time I swear I just felt like dumping out my emotions into a comment

Finally, someone agrees with me. I'm personally tired of seeing Rosalina everywhere. I mean, she was only in 2 or 3 major Mario games and a few of the spin off games when Daisy was in a heck of a lot more than that and she barely gets any attention! What the frik is up with that?!
To be honest, when I was a bit younger, I use to love Daisy, she was my favorite character. But then, to me her voice was annoying so I stopped liking her. Fast forward to a couple years later, I started to appreciate Daisy again. Now that I'm older and I understand feelings of characters and their personalities, Daisy has become one of my favorites again. Every time I play a Mario sports game, such as Mario Power Tennis, I ALWAYS put Luigi and Daisy on a team. When I hear Luigi's theme from Mario Strikers Charged, all I think about is Luigi and Daisy dancing together.
The thing that really made me love the Luigi and Daisy couple was Daisy Circuit in Mario Kart Wii. All of the statues with Luigi and Daisy just made me really love the couple.
Also, if they make another Luigi's Mansion game, they should have Luigi rescue Daisy.

I honestly wish we'd be in more games. I mean, Mario Party games gave us a bit of back story. Her being Peach's cousin and other stuff. The status in MKWII pretty much says it all. But who knows? Maybe one day we'll know more about her.
