Thank you Peter for your great effort. I’ve been driving a LR3 for 9 years now, and I know sometimes it could be hard to handle the maintenance cost. I’ve just bought an EV but it was not in my heart to sell my Discovery out. So now I own both of them and the satisfaction is priceless.

Thanks Peter - yours is a great channel!.
I bought my 2016 Disco 4 Landmark in August last year. It';s about to have its first service with me by a Land Rover dealer as it has a 1-year Land Rover warranty as it was "Land Rover Approved" - after that it will go to my local Land Rover specialist who is excellent, highly recommended by all local Land Rover owners and charges half the labour costs of the dealer.
So far I have been changing all the filament bulbs to LED - the first were the rear fog and reversing lights as they made a big defference. Then the number plate lights with sealed LED replacement modules, then the puddle lights and then the internal lights (most of these were also sealed LED modules rather than just the bulb) - lastly I changed the front fog lights for sealed LED ones as the originals had moisture inside. I also plan to swap the front amber turn indicator bulbs for LED ones if I can.
I only discovered yesterday that my car has rotating headlights when a friend with a D4 HSE Luxe showed me his and my Landmark is basically an HSE Luxe. 👍
The only bad thing is that the wing mirrors are flat glass with a big blind spot if the original owner had not specified the radar lind spot option. I am trying to fins if there is an after-market option that has the wing mirror with the outside quarter as a blind spot mirror that I can change. I have found the glass only, but not yet a plug-in replacement that connects to the mirroe demister circuit. If anyone knows where I van get these please let me know. 😃

Relatively new Discovery 4 owner here, having changed from an 1986 Land Rover 90.
Great videos, and really, really useful. We bought the MP4x4 roof rack recently after watching your video and we're really please with it so far.

Fantastic channel, the information, projects format and style 🙏
I sold my 2021 (£105k) Defender P400X when a super low mileage, one owner 2016 D4 Landmark came up for sale, in Corris grey, the one I had always wanted but thought I had long missed the boat.
The Defender was great, being the X model it had every dealer option available and (this was before the V8 was available) I had the V8 Paddleshift retrofitted.
That said, there is just something about the D4, it feels more special and the rear split tailgate is so much better than the hinged door on the Defender, the inside space is also better.
Nearly 10k miles later it’s been faultless, I do change the oil in between services but that’s it.
Whilst some cars might be more technologically advanced I have absolutely no intention of selling the Disco, so I can see why you spent a few evenings looking at which car would replace your old D4 and ending up with another 🙏

dear Peter your channel is great ! I am French and we have a D4 3 l TDV6 - I would be very interested to know more on how you set the fog lights in the front grille - they look great. Could you make a video about electricity ? switch? which brand you used etc ...thks Lionel

Thanks Peter. I did not know that you can learn still in your 50s. specelliy if you neve rownd a car before, BUT I idid on your channel. AND saved a 500-1000 € ordering stuff from UK and fixed my self from my garage the first year. And now my disco runs better then ever. Thanks for your videos. Best of luck and love
