Fabulous album from a teenager, very psychedelic, but the choice of single from it was baffling!!
Like another of your listeners/viewers i'm also from Scotland(Edinburgh)and only buy cds of reissued albums from the later 60s and early 70s,but also unreleased posthumous recordings,as much of vintage vinyl in the genres of psych, Folk Rock, early prog, acid Folk are expensive and well out of my financial reach,so i enjoy your videos, and much of what you feature as its nice to see those original artefacts, with their artwork, original labels etc,so thank you very much for your effort, time and showing your collection and your precise description in rather good English i must add,as i take It English is not your first language?
Your efforts are much appreciated 👍
Hi Stuart! Thanks a lot. It seems we like a lot of the same music. Folk and psych is something I really like and collect, so I will show more of that. English is certainly not my first language, haha, so it's cool to hear that you understand my "Swenglish". Cheers!
I need to get a copy of this. Sounds amazing!!
Yes, it's a really fine psych album. Maybe you can find one in Hova!
That’s a grail of mine! Came close to splashing out on a copy recently. Great video, Jonas!
Cheers Jack. Yes, it's a great album, you'll get it one day. Good luck!
Beautiful record and one I must play again as it's been awhile since I last had it on. Thanks for the backstory as well. I knew he was 15 years old but that's all I knew about him. Cheers Nigel
It's always nice to let a record rest for a while, and then listen and "rediscover" it. Thanks for watching!
Definitely in my top 10 favorites psych albums! Great vid, I learned things like the Mother's Tucker Duck not involved in this record! Continue the good work! 😊
Agreed, a really fine psych album. I also learned about the Mother Tucker thing when I did the research. Knowing more about these obscurities makes the listening experience even deeper I think.
Hi jonas, nice review of this great album, I bought a CD copy a year ago after hearing one track somewhere on the internet, it’s very rare and hard to find, I’m not a vinyl collector, just CDs these days. I have many rare psych folk pop CDs and like your podcast, thanks and I’m in Scotland 🏴
Many thanks! You can find a lot of great stuff on CD for next to nothing theses days. And cool that you remember my old podcast, it was long time since I did it. Take care!
J K and Company is a favorite of mine.
Yeah, it a fave for me too!
This lp has always been tough for me. The story and background make me want to love it more than I do. I had the original but actually traded it last year. Which truthfully, I kind of regret because there are some beautiful parts to this, including the songs you mentioned. "Dead" was always a favorite as was "Fly". Truly bizarre about the single. Never realized what they actually released. Probably helped kill any chance for success right there. Great video and background info as always!
You can't have em' all. I sell and trade records all the time, it's a good way to get new records without breaking the bank. A record collection should breath, records in, records out, you know. Maybe one day the stars align, and J.K. and Co will come back to your collection. Yeah, the promo singel is insane! 😂
@@vinylstockholm I love this idea and more and more, I'm thinking that way too. It's ok to let some go! We shall see...
Really enjoyed the samples. I like their faster songs but some of the slow ones were just a little too quiet for me. Interesting about the piano track and that promo 45. That is insane
It's a pretty soft record overall, top-notch psychedelic pop. Yeah, that promo single is insane!! Thank you for watching!
