    Best tutorial I've seen for screen printing with vinyl! This may actually be a better project for me than HTV direct on shirts since it's reusable. I've been too nervous to try any htv or vinyl cutting so far. But this idea really appeals to me! Thanks for being so real and personable!

    Your instructions are fantastic. My question is can this process be done on 100% cotton and if so would the ink stay after washing. The shirt that you used in your video is a Cricut shirt which is polyester which allows ink to process better into the fabric.

    I know it’s trial and error, but I ended up with goopy paint on my shirt. Not enough pressure maybe. I tried again and used a small paintbrush size squeegee and applied a lot of pressure and it came out better. The large squeegee would be better since I have 50 shirts to do and my image is large.

When you remove the mesh from the stretcher, then put it back on and re stretch it, do you ever have trouble after multiple times getting it straight? What I’m getting at is does it become warped? • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The back doesn’t become messy because the ink shouldn’t be anywhere but where you want the image to come through. I press lots of shirts with the same screen. I did a video about screen printing multiple designs with the same screen

    I was wondering if it is possible to make multi color prints. I mean if you press Htv it shrinks a little. So if I want to use multiple colors and want to place them next to each other do I have to make the design a little bigger or does it not matter. Have you ever done that with this type of screen? I could not find it in your list

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could yes There are a couple ways to do it depending on what works best for you. You can cover parts with painters tape that wont be the color you are using and do that for each color or if you are feeling brave you can place small spots of paint and use small squeegees to brush the paint over the places it goes.

    I've tried several stencils and size of screen, but still have some adhesive bleeding. I have a heat press, so I'm not moving it when pressing. The design I'm trying to do has very narrow lettering (1/8") and the bleed almost totally covers that stencil area. Any ideas?

    I don’t know if this has already been asked but I already put my stencil on my screen and everything. It’s all ready to go. Except, I used regular permanent vinyl instead of HTV and now I’m scared to print because I don’t know if I can wash and reuse the stencil if it’s not heat pressed. Has anyone tried washing a screen with permanent vinyl and did it fall apart or were you able to keep it together?

      You wouldn’t want to place this on the front of the screen as running the squeegee over the htv can cause it to life and ruin your project. However you can still do it like I do on the back with it still attached to the screen just put a piece of wood or a book under it and cover it with parchment paper and then you can press it with the screen still attached
