Certainly agree with you that Gjirokaster is a wee gem of an ancient city - love the cobblestone streets and buildings eg Castle museum and old town 🩶🤍🩶
Absolutely, if I lived in this area (one day...) I would find myself doing regular escapes there for a day or weekend trip. There is a lot to explore there and in the villages around there as well.
Absolutely, it was actually on my early 2025 plan but then Romania joined the Schengen zone, which meant I have had to put it back a little, but yes Romania and particularly Transylvania is still on the list, hopefully later in 2025.
Right at the end of these videos I have a costs table which is in AUD and also USD. For anyone in the EU 100ALL is the same as 1 euro (give or take a few cents). As for shopping, that might take a bit of a mind set change for me as I am really not a shopping person. Usually unless it is a major city shopping is not a thing, the shops are all tourist traps with trinkets, souvenirs and cost an arm and a leg.

Have you been to Gjirokaster? What was your favourite part (let me guess… the castle?) Comment below if you have been there.
Can you visit Transylvania someday? Looks legit interesting.

Could you visit Montenegro?❤
Yes, I am actually struggling to decide between Montenegro and Georgia for January / February, so watch this space...
When you say how much something costs there converts to in AUD? Looks like a nice but if shopping there too.
