About the immune system: it knows that by turning up the temperature above whats normal it can kill some diseases but the (sometimes fatal) flaw in that plan is that the human body isn’t evolved to stand up against the increased heat and you get fever. I feel like there’s some irony in there i can’t point out about the body killing itself instead of whatever disease that’s causing the fever
As a biochemistry student, I can confirm that yeah, the immune system is awesome, but it can also get you killed because "Oh no, pollen", and freak out
Watching this now after learning about how a Frenchman who is married and has two kids went into the hospital for his leg pain and was revealed to have mostly liquid in the place of his brain. The human body is both unique and also terrifying.
Holy shit i forgot this channel existed. I havnt gotten a notification since like 2020. I loved watching these when I was getting ready for school. Now I'm watching this while getting ready for work.
0:19, I accidentally sped up the video and slowed it down at the right times to where it seemed like Pravus was just so tired of grammar mistakes he just wanted to explain it as fast as possible. Nothing notable, but it got me laughing.
Yeah, immune system is weird. When i got the covid vaccine my immune system seemingly just decided to shatter my spine, and i had horrible back pain all throughout the next day. I still don't know how the immune system did that, but it did.
I might sorry for your body immune response but it's how it works in mean from evolution pov the job is destroyed the enemy, also new studies show that letting the heat go up is a good think look at jhon Campbell interview on that
Overheating is not good for the body. Why do you think they try and cool you down if you into ER with a high fever they try and cool you down. Or if you go in to the ER with a heat related illness they again cool you down

Too political for a pravus video. Children watch these videos so you must take care that your comments do not unnecessarily politicise simple and petty things. Please edit your comment. Thank you
I am commenting #BringBackDislikes on every unique TH-cam video I watch for the rest of 2024, regardless of if I actually dislike the video or not. This is video 2432.

The immune system is practically your own personal nuke
It goes back to survival of the fittest
@@kafferszky exactly. Human body is challenging the disease to a staring contest. Whoever blinks first dies of heatstroke.
If more of us survived with said immune system then us must be been fullproof :d
Sounds a lot like politics.

As someone who reads abot the immune system a lot, it's a wonderful system but at times it will basically turn you into a living corpse
I want to thank u for getting me back into plauge inc
