It takes a bit out of the experience filming, seems like you don't get to fully enjoy it, though there is some reward looking back and reinforcing the memories. Currently trapped in a wheelchair after loosing my leg to diabetes complications. Im looking at loosing the other if we cant get this new infection under control. I wait with baited breath for Parlay and Delos every week to be able to enjoy a lil bit of freedom in my mind. I grew up on an island as a kid with the freedom to roam, out canoeing, camping, riding horses and yup occasionally sneaking off island to go take in a movie. But most of all I miss the salty tang in the air and the stink of low tide near the mangroves. Ya'll have given me the freedom of being able to roam the halls of my memories and to remember the exciting fun we had exploring the hidden jems of the island. Thanks ya'll!!!!! Dude, (Colin) you are quite the celebrity in NZ! You have made your entire country proud with your TH-cam Channel and all that you are doing sailing the world on this hurricane-damaged Lagoon. I used to drive a stick or manual drive car in San Fransisco, CA. USA. That hill is doable in a stick shift! That said, I used to speed-shift, meaning no clutch, one of my cars.
Next week Steward Island! I am so stoked! I have marvelous memories of the people there and the scenery. I was hiking there 20 odd years ago, and we came across some shrooms. Needless to say, we had a pretty wicked stay over there at one of the huts, haha, whales coming into the bay and all. ❤ But again, the people were the best and took us scruffy 20 something year olds in like family.
FYI: Fasting works better, is far easier, less stressful, more healthy, and there is more weight loss IF you first do 5 days of eating a diet of no sugars, that means if it is sweet, you cannot eat it. (ALSO: no artificial sweeteners) and no carbohydrates. this puts your body into a state of Ketosis, which means your body is no longer relying on Carbohydrates for energy and is actively in a state of burning body fat for energy.
Another wonderful episode! We get to cruise around the Great Lakes in the summers here in Michigan, but your explorations and experiences are truly epic! The hospitality you all receive wherever you go, I believe, is a reflection of your personalities and love you all pour into everything you do. I usually break my prolonged water/salt fasts with bacon and eggs. Because if I eat veggies or vegetable soup it will just go through me like I'm a drinking straw. Bacon and eggs will "build up", so you can eat normal portions again.
Watching this video made me miss you guys more than I already was, but, I have to say, I do not do well in cold weather for any reason and therefore I'm thankful I'm not on board. When fasting if you are feeling weak, or getting headaches try adding electrolytes like Sea Salt, Potassium which can be No Salt, or Cream of Tartar in some water with some apple cider vinegar and lemon juice.

i agree .. i actually do daily intermittant fasting 16-18 hrs every day since jan 2019 .. and i have gone as long as 5 days every few months, but generally its a 3 day fast once a month.
@@ParlayRevival works best if your fat - adapted vs carbs .. i eat less then 50g of carbs per day .. for the last 5 years.. fasting doesnt even make me hungry, i actually will forget to eat (often) for 40-50 hrs over the weekend if i get involved in work, (i am a bit tenacious, i like to work till i get whatever i am doing, done)

Hay parlay crew. That was an awesome video that touched on a lot of topics. My ears pricked up when I herd Collen mentioned how he wants to encourage more people to sail around NZ. Well, more so, just to get on a boat & gain some experience on the water. I'd like to mention that I've just had a group of kids sailing this past weekend on our old sail boat called Kiwi Lady moored in Opua Bay of islands. It's a project boat that hasn't had the sails up in years. But I worked all week in order to have her sailing again by the weekend. I had two groups of kids over the weekend ranging from 4 to 15 years of age. They are all members of a Kura Waka group run by Joelz Busby. These kids needed to do anchor watch etc in order for them to qualify for a trip to Rarotonga in September. So yeah, I'm with you Collen when it comes to encouraging people to jump on a boat & give it a go. We were also fortunate enough to be filmed by the one & only ONE LIFE crew Brook & Gary. Occasionally, we kitesurf into that marina through the gap. It's narrow and shallow for sure! I know a couple of guys who've jumped the wall into it. We dont do it often, so we dont annoy people, but fun anyway.

This circumnavigation of NZ makes me want to go back so bad! The most beautiful place I've been to is South Island New Zealand without doubt and I travel the world for a living so it's been up against some stiff competition but still comes out on top!

Occasionally, we kitesurf into that marina through the gap. It's narrow and shallow for sure! I know a couple of guys who've jumped the wall into it. We dont do it often, so we dont annoy people, but fun anyway.

This circumnavigation of NZ makes me want to go back so bad! The most beautiful place I've been to is South Island New Zealand without doubt and I travel the world for a living so it's been up against some stiff competition but still comes out on top!
