This was a great edit... the maps feature at the start especially, Thank You! But also, the background music bubbling along giving extra energy. Great job Jordan :)
The language barrier and occasional confusion are more than compensated for by the spectacular sceneries and wonderful experience. Also love how that old fisherman is now using his cormanants to 'fish' tourists instead! :D
I'm enjoying your travel adventures! It's so fantastical the compositions and your explanation of the area and what to expect is captivating! This is definitely in my bucket list to do! Thank you so very much on the hard work on your vlogs! Well done!
Beautiful Guilin , beautiful journey , beautiful video , beautiful Jordan , nice comments and conclusion ...beautiful necklace ... and thank you for this bonus video of Guilin 😉
Thank you so much for all your beautiful China videos with suggestions. I have been to beautiful China 2 times (Beijing, Changsha, Badaling, Zhangjiajie & Nanjing) & loved it all. From the city to countryside and people to culture, I am hooked. Because of you & Poppi, now I have to return to see so much more. Thank you both for exposing the world of the beauty, wonder & safety within beautiful China.
you've brought back tons of memories for me. I use to live in Beijing/Hong Kong for just over 2 years [back in 2002]. left after to teach in Osaka. Guilin was one of my first places I visited. going to pingyao, xi'an, zhengzhou and a few other small areas. enjoy your time there!
When I was in Guilin, I just lived in Yang Shuo. It was cheaper and quiter. You can rent a electrical bike yourself and explore by yourself. There are also guides all around that area. Instead of taking their bikes, you can just follow them and ride your own ones. I have to say that was a really good experience. Some hotels offer you private tours, which were also cheap and good. You need to search and ask for these. But I guess it would be a bit harder for non-Chinese speakers for all of these. You are lucky that you didn't miss that cruise. That place is hard to get but that is the number one thing people should do in Yang Shuo.
I was born and raised in here yet haven't really traveled a lot, Lol. Since having watched your videos, Am sure I will walk there while I still can. Good work.
Omg! I remember when I first started watching you when you had 7k subscribers! I told all my friends about you and thought that you should have more subs. Now, ages later, I checked back after a long break I took and saw that you had 200k!
In Guilin, they use different colors to classify bamboo-boats. The blue ones are motor commonly used on the main stream of Li River, and the natural-color ones are manual mainly used on branches of Li River.
Hi.. I met you in the Danish Bakery in Suzhou the other day. Mike (the English guy that said hi). Not sure if you are still in town but if so happy to show you some places. Like I said, enjoy the blogs keep them coming
I love your vlogs but also like when you do more info videos like this and talk about history and culture and info, like the Abu Simbel video! Beautiful fishing birds, wow, I never knew there were birds that swim faster than fish!!
The scenery in Guilin is indeed gorgeous, however in Yunnan in Puzhehei is also equally as stunning along with Luoping both of which are in Yunnan province.
Poppy, good video. In that area the best bamboo rafting is on the Yulong river. They use poles to push along. I like Guilin noodles, and very cheap meal. The girls in N. Guangxi are a little shy and very beautiful, Wish i were young again.
I'm going there tomorrow! My main objective is to find the cool and awesome fisherman who looks like a street fighter character! The scenery is definitely a plus. I just hope I can find where is he located
These videos have been blowing me away. No wonder it's a tourist hot spot. Those mountains/hills are so pronounced. And the info is presented so engagingly. You know your stuff Jordan! (I get that "touristy" places may be a hassle but aren't they just travelers too who want to see/experience something that looks enjoyable )
Hi Jordan . I enjoy your vlogs but was wondering if in each country you visit you could show the currency and perhaps show or explain food prices too. Your editing is perfection and really enjoy when you and Poppy travel together. Sending love from Edinburgh,Scotland. 😄
I would also suggest you to visit the neighboring Guizhou province just to the north of Guangxi. It's less developed for tourism and much more authentic, there are many ethnic minorities and their cultures, dances, costumes, and traditional stilted houses are fascinating.
A little of both! I had been seeing all of those famous Instagram photos taken in Guilin for awhile, and then I researched it a bit and was even more convinced that I should go. I choose places based on a wide variety of factors - places that I have always been interested in, places that come up by complete chance (for example, a friend invites me somewhere, a company contacts me from a city I've never heard of, I see a place on a list / article / Instagram post / etc). Sometimes I also just find random cheap flights to a place and decide to go last minute! That's how I ended up in Tokyo and Taiwan.
She's a TH-cam star, they probably pay her to stay there, like notice she has their website in the video discription. a TH-camr Laura Reid, Lost Leblanc's ex, made a video about how brands pay TH-cam and INstagram stars to do stuff like that. Living the life!!
Most of the video is Yangshou and those old men with the birds are touts - theres hundreds of them all down the river. Its fairly sad to see to be honest
This was a great edit... the maps feature at the start especially, Thank You! But also, the background music bubbling along giving extra energy. Great job Jordan :)
I especially liked the cute little girl practicing her English with you in 9:17! So special!
She was so nice, and her English was great! We had a long conversation, she was so smart and well spoken.
The best travel videos ever. Thank you Jordan not putting advertising in your videos!
The language barrier and occasional confusion are more than compensated for by the spectacular sceneries and wonderful experience.
Also love how that old fisherman is now using his cormanants to 'fish' tourists instead! :D
"Fish for tourists" indeed! So clever, I love it haha
China don't have advertise in difference language in tourist attractions places.
仁義禮智信: Kindness, Righteousness, Politeness, Wisdom, creditedness. As you seems interested in Confucious, you likely know this.
I'm enjoying your travel adventures! It's so fantastical the compositions and your explanation of the area and what to expect is captivating! This is definitely in my bucket list to do! Thank you so very much on the hard work on your vlogs! Well done!
Thanks so much, glad that you enjoy the videos!

Thank you for inspiring me. Guilin was a revelation to me.
Love your connections to history and lit.
I am also looking forward to becoming a traveler just like you. Thanks for inspiring me!
Omg! I remember when I first started watching you when you had 7k subscribers! I told all my friends about you and thought that you should have more subs. Now, ages later, I checked back after a long break I took and saw that you had 200k!
Aw thanks for watching for so long! :D
Very informative ! But I am too old to walk such a long distance now, I am so happy your guys can travel wherever you want on the age you can do that.

Hi Jordan, I'am new to your site! Thank you for providing such in-depth knowledge of Guilin . and the beautiful video.
I love your vlogs but also like when you do more info videos like this and talk about history and culture and info, like the Abu Simbel video! Beautiful fishing birds, wow, I never knew there were birds that swim faster than fish!!
I love the way you research before you visit places and share that research with us. Thanks you.

云南那也是演的 大理我老家 现在不可能有真的了 Yunnan
I'm going there tomorrow! My main objective is to find the cool and awesome fisherman who looks like a street fighter character! The scenery is definitely a plus. I just hope I can find where is he located

I would also suggest you to visit the neighboring Guizhou province just to the north of Guangxi. It's less developed for tourism and much more authentic, there are many ethnic minorities and their cultures, dances, costumes, and traditional stilted houses are fascinating.
2:28 guy is like "Just get on the blue boat so we can get this day over with...."

So beautiful. I've already experienced Beijing about a month ago. I'd love to visit and explore other parts of China.
love the video BTW just curious about Why could u get VIP in that hotel;)
You're back!
This was hazy and i didn't care for the music but, any day seeing a New travellite J-vid is a good day.
I loved the music so calming
I 'm Guiliner 😄so glad you like my hometown
Girl, you should try on one of those traditional dresses? >>>>>>>>>>>>> 10:13
And I highly recommend you go there by air, coz the airport avenue is breath-taking too
like the little girl at the end, when I was a kid my parents are love to make me talk to people who seem like English speaker lol
Great video as always. Just one thing, it’s Yang Shuo, which sounds like “sure” without the rhotic r sound. It’s not Yang Show.
I have a advice that share you vlog to “blibli” you will be famous in China because most Chinese people can’t use TH-cam
B站的网友会翻墙的应该不少😏
I’m intrigued to know how you decide where to visit, is it just research online or by recommendations? Why did you decide on Guilin?
A little of both! I had been seeing all of those famous Instagram photos taken in Guilin for awhile, and then I researched it a bit and was even more convinced that I should go.
I choose places based on a wide variety of factors - places that I have always been interested in, places that come up by complete chance (for example, a friend invites me somewhere, a company contacts me from a city I've never heard of, I see a place on a list / article / Instagram post / etc). Sometimes I also just find random cheap flights to a place and decide to go last minute! That's how I ended up in Tokyo and Taiwan.
How did you get the VIP hotel floor? Did you have a hotel branded credit card or an amex platinum?
She's a TH-cam star, they probably pay her to stay there, like notice she has their website in the video discription. a TH-camr Laura Reid, Lost Leblanc's ex, made a video about how brands pay TH-cam and INstagram stars to do stuff like that.
Living the life!!
Watch Poppy's video she paid for an expensive room.
Jordan / Poppy you are making me want to go to China!! Mr Black Monk fisher man looks bad ass! The little Chinese girl speaking in English is cute!

One advise is to watch the show which called "Liu San Jie" , it's really good !
Lovely to see you girls having fun :-)
if you have any doubt please check by TH-cam ok
Fantastic video. Beautiful and informative.
what its your new destination ?
We ..We...don't.. like blue boats, cause.... I still hear the bamboos screaming Despatcher: OH, ALO, are u parents around honey? How old are u?
what was the area you went to called? i mean the place that had less tourists with the boat ride
It's the wharf in the end credits in "Places." I forget the name right now but I know it's listed there :)
Thank you. good story.
