You need to do a whole album listen. It’s been getting big praise and honestly it’s magical haha. It brings back that 70s-80s funk and mixes it with a modern touch. It’s really really really an incredible album.

They only have one year of contract left... why would they go on hiatus for a year at this point?? True, I don't like the way that they're overworking, but they are in their early 20's. Idol groups, especially female idol groups, dont have long longevity. You take a one year hiatus, how do you keep fans loyal to the fandom during one year? Also, as a fan of bp music too, I highly disagree with yg's strategy. Many baby blinks are asking why bp is not nominated for mama 2021 for best female group... I mean they dont have cbs for over a year now... If this is the kind of hiatus you're talking about, then that is just dumb... Let me be honest, if bp had a comeback this year, and the song was a bop, they can defn secure one grand prize in mama 2021... yge basically let go that opportunity. Aespa is rising now and next year we'll see yg's new gg, jyp's new gg, HYBE's new groups (they have IZOne members) and IVE just debuted now (they also have two members from IZONE), next month we'll see Ke1pler debut too... it's a very competitive industry and girls are young... not having cb is a waste of their time and opportunity to accomplish more...

Red Velvet also had two members' solos earlier this year and both Wendy and Joy had their solo albums rather than eps. Also, they released a mini album Queendom during Summer. I know individual works refer to lots of things rather than just music, but personally Im a fan of their music first, then I appreciate the other work they do. and honestly, every group does lots of non-music or less music related stuff, such as tv commercials, brand sponsorship, dance covers, variety shows, mc jobs, etc... And I'm pretty sure only Lisa [Praying for speedy recovery!!!] was kept busy the whole year, ywy3 mentor, fashion events in europe (which was not really allowed to attend??), her solo debut, collab with dj snake, talk shows/ interviews in states. Rose had similar schedules as Lisa but probably less busier. Jisoo just filmed her first kdrama, which is not even airing yet and Jennie probably only had fashion events??? Correct me if I'm wrong. The group was only together once for some environmental promotion project and they performed Stay I think.. other stages such as the show or recent performance for lovesick girls were all recorded last year...
