They basically bought TC explants and grew them on a month and charged you way more. That is why most online houseplant companies take weeks to ship because they are "regrowers" and don't do original prop. Basically these nurseries are "flippers", buying TC plants for pennies and selling them retail for $20-100 after 30 days worth of effort.
I recently bought colocasia and alocasia from the shop and it took a very long time, but I had looked at the reviews before I ordered. I just decided I was willing to wait, and the plants did arrive healthy (like your experience the label was made and the package was sent later.) I don’t think it is a scam just a very unusual business model - I did notice that one review mentioned they were tissue culturing plants when the orders came in, I am not sure if that is possible, but it would be good for them to make a mention of how long their process takes right on their Etsy page.
Glad to hear you received the right plants right away! How long did you wait? They definitely should mention that and also respond to messages faster!!! The person needs more help
So happy you finally got your plants you deserve them all. I was going to tell you I bought a zero water filter for my fussy plants that don't like tap water and it's working great and it's so much cheaper than buying distilled water all the time.
That’s crazy how unprofessional that plant company handled things. He should have apologized and either fulfilled or refunded immediately. I’ve had an e-commerce site for over 15 years I would never treat a customer like that. Unfortunately, companies that handle business like that ruin it for other online businesses as there is now lack of trust with online purchases. If his business has that many orders they should be able to hire someone at least part time. It’s better to spend the money to create better customer experiences and have repeat customers than to be badmouthed on Reddit because of lack of customer service. Great video love your plants. 🌱
That is too long to wait for plants that are being shipped within the US. It’s too long to wait for anything. I definitely wouldn’t purchase from that company after hearing your experience. Even though they made it right and you ended up with two extra plants it’s still not right.
I love receiving plant mail!
A variegated Frydek is at the top of my wish list. They are just so expensive and I’m terrified that I won’t keep it alive 😅
Awe, they are definitely worth the money! You gotta give it a try!!!
One of the best shops on etsy is the green escape and also coolective plants. Konger garden is great if you want succulents too
Thank you, I have now heard a lot of great things about the Green Escape!:)

I think it took a total of 7 weeks from the night that I ordered to arriving at my door :)@@aloplantcasia

@@humblelovingsouls I totally agree with you! Hopefully they’ll learn how to operate a business one day! Thank you!☺️

Right, that was really frustrating. I'll definitely not order from them again. The owner just threw a lot of excuses why it took so long.
