Beautiful!!

Wow. I’ve never thought about a plant looking particularly phallic until this very moment. 👀
I want to do this with my alocasia polly (which is the oldest and the one I want to pollinate) and alocasia jacklyn (which I want to take the pollen from). What do you do with the berries afterwards? How do you know when they're good and is that where the seeds are? Do you just plant those berries when they're done? I can't find that much information about this online so I'm just asking everywhere to collect a whole bunch of advice before the baby jacklyn has it's first flower haha
@@bungerimpact Once the berries are ready to harvest, I’ll propagate them in moist sphagnum moss. You know they are ready when the berries have turned dark orange in color. I will post an update and what I’ll end up doing once I get to that point. It might take a few months
When the berries are ripe they fall off on their own. That is the most safe way to collect them because most time you will get seed that are not ready enough to be sown ( they look on the smaller size ), even if the berry rotted, the seed will be viable, I'm telling you this because not all the berries on the stalk ripen up at the same time
@@mariofina-pz8ss Adding all of these answers to my notes lol thanks :)
@@mariofina-pz8ss good to know! This will probably be my first successful pollination.
Mine just offed herself after the first watering. I was super careful as well😂, nope it root rotted straight after😂
@@alyn.s 😭😭😭
How about a follow up? I am curious about the process
@@Suzihazlenut I will post an update when anything changes:)

@@aloplantcasia ur more than welcome!! I just got introduced to the Alocasia green unicorn. Is it a way I can show u my set up
All plants belong outside...😅 I think some people really forget there is no such a thing as a house-plant...and we all just keep them inside because we aren't in the tropics.
THIS IS NOT TIKTOK IT IS TH-cam
@@KarinaRosales-te9iu haha yes, just sharing it here😅

That was very sweet of your boyfriend 🥰 Hope it’s been a great transition for all of your plants.
Dimensions?
Amazon clear display containers are 15$ and huge with a magnetic door
The akebar (this model shown on the video) is 40$. Your really just paying for the glass , clear acrylic is the same thing
@@Tintintintin666 I like the Akebar look more:)
@@aloplantcasia I’m just putting info out there in case someone thinks this is the only option
Link pls? Thanks!
HOW do they not mold. I’m going insane
@@Planty_Star provide more air flow!!! 💯
How long does it take for corms to work in fluval stratum just put some corms from my verigated alocasia in it and I want them to grow
@@jesyblacksonblackjamcianqu9144 it depends on the environment, but for me it usually takes a week to see its first root forming
@ I have them in a plastic cup with a dome lid on them in a ikea akabar greenhouse with a grow light in it but I’m worried about them rotting ect and it’s been about a week and no progress any reason why?
Can I ask where you got the terrarium from? My black velvet just came back to life from propagation. I’d love to get her a tiny house like that 🥹🌱
