The people that gave it a thumbs down really have no idea the time, planning every detail and the talent it takes to make one of these birds, let a lone fly it! Oh and get it back in one piece! AGAIN AWESOME JOB! Lets not forget the cost of one of these birds....You have to be faithful to your hobby!
i thought it was only in america where you have announcers that constantly talk on loud speakers with loud music.... people goto these events to experience the hobby... turn off the music, put down the microphone and just enjoy the show... great vid!
The main rotor appears to be rotating slowly or not at all when it's RPMs (revolutions per minute) reach the same speed as the video FPS (frames per second) recording speed. It happens on small prop planes when you video out the windshield. Not only does the prop look slow or going backwards, it also looks bent. This is similar to riding in a vehicle and shoot video out the side window at a pocket fence (they appear to lean over rather than look straight up and down).
they optical illusion with the blades is very cool. looks like the blades are barely moving... the illusion even casts a shadow. the shadow moves slow too. physics is strange
Ya I agree. the frame rate of the cam will fix that. plus the average (full size heli) the main blade spins around 250 (fact) RPM. Ya sounds slow, but when it is a 15 (or larger) foot circumference That Is FAST!!!
Great machine, great flying, great videography and great show. I can't believe 20K people gave it thumbs down.🤔. What didn't they like.? It's cool looking and he did a great job flying it.

i tryed to fly with the rich boys they are assholes they think there shit dont stink i went back 2 rc4wheel drive trucks my shit dos stink an im happy again fuck the rich assholes
Maybe the operator isn't even that rich: the time to built this thing was 3 years. Besides a lot of testing and adjusting, I think the cost also is a factor that takes up a lot of the building time. Buying or making everything in just a few weeks is probably very expensive, so this is spread. It is usual in hobbies ;) I think many people are a little surprised how expensive their hobby is when they would add all costs when a model is completed, something you don't really notice during building and you are buying or making a few components ;)
+weeardguy ....the jet motor this guy is using in his helicopter will usually start at around $2,000 and go up from there it's rare to find one for 1500. I stick to the land style RC vehicles and I build my own so they are completely custom to whatever I am doing. right now I am building a radio-controlled lawn mower using a twin blade deck from a riding mower. I just have to put an engine on there to run the blades and keep the battery charged.
So, the helicopter is absolutely amazing. I continue to be so impressed with the incredible detail, craftsmanship, build quality, and authenticity of these high end RC’s. If these builders aren’t actually engineers they could have fooled me. As for this particular video, I have only two minor critiques. First, to the person shooting it...while the up close shots are great, you have to zoom out from time to time to offer some perspective. By staying so tight on the aircraft the entire time you inadvertently make the maneuvers look less impressive than they really are. This a segue to my second critique which is...while this guy is obviously an amazing pilot and his flying was tight and controlled, I kept hoping he would do something more impressive or daring, i.e. a sharp banking turn, a fast/steep ascent into a stalled180deg rotation and dive, etc. Forgive me if there are official names for these maneuvers. Anyways, I was on the edge of my seat waiting for something more acrobatic and it just never happened. I know, it’s easy for me to say when it’s not my $50-$70k chopper on the line. Then again, I’m not the one that brought my fancy helicopter to a major show. I think the expectation for seeing something out of the ordinary is reasonable.

The camera operator needs to adjust the shutter speed slower so it blurs the movement of the blades more.

I'm always fascinated by how the big fins spin so fast to create an illusion of how "slow spinning" they are from a distant.

6:08 It's amazing that the rotor can generate that much lift while rotating at so slow a speed! :-) :-)
the reason the rotors are doing that is because its way to fast and so it looks slow because the human eye cant take that much frame rate a second.
