Yeah, this is why anyone with a few braincells will just wait at least a day or two and see where the game eventually falls with general audiences and reviewers with full access.
@@PickAPlatform As you said. They're misleading for monetary reasons. They can hype games all they want. Anyone with a shred of brain knows exactly what is happening.
@@PickAPlatform depends on the content creators. the usual suspects most wont take seriously its why a lot of them have a lot of subs, but they barely get 15k views on an account for 3.2mill subs per video lol.
i think its more along the lines of dont take what you see in a game preview seriously, and the companies often will front load those previews with stuff they think people wont get upset over to improve sales when ppls videos come out. im sure the veilguard preview was a tiny portion of the game and people tend to be far more positive when being flown to an event than when just sitting in their rooms playing a free demo (when those used to exist). i approach games with the wise words of magneto in mind... "in chess, the pawns go first". i let the pawns buy the game and review/stream the game, ill watch the live streams and if i like what i see and hear then ill buy it, or ill torrent the game first and if i like it then ill uninstall and buy off steam after a few hours. i have trusted youtubers/streamers will watch and cycle through, tho some games like path of exile 2 i have way more faith in than avowed.
Lying is far to strong an accusation. Just because some games looked promising in a preview event and then disappointed people doesn't mean that every preview event is some kind of exercise in deception. If I had the time and inclination I bet I could find just as many clips of folks getting excited about a game after a preview event and then going on to enjoy the full game. I'm not convinced. I still won't preorder the game but I never preorder games and neither should anyone else.
No it wasn't. Plus he literally went to the trouble of ILLUSTRATING the point with actual examples That's better than 99% of videos on YT so I have no idea why you're denigrating it
@ We already had videos covering these points almost word for word, and its been known long before Avowed. Almost all of the gaming community came to conclusions in the last year or two, then just before last year there were deep dives into the workings of why things have been going this way and statistics from various audiences showing percentages based on trust of legacy media and guidelines for these types of pre-release events.
This is just you cherry picking some times where the reviewers were wrong. Skill Up, for example, was a lot less convinced that Dragon Age good. I saw several previews from smaller creators who were very middling on it. Then there's the countless examples of them being 100% correct on fhe game. I don't really see the point you're making?
Tbh, the game looks really good and I believe the reviews. However the fallout of the PR is something else entirely. That’s in shambles. The director acting wild lol. That’s going to hurt the game’s sales no matter how good it may seem

As TB said, “Never pre-order”. Avowed has early access, five days I believe, so content creators will jump on it straight away.

After i found out that the developers are racist against people i decided i would not play it.

Wow, so where exactly is the evidence that the Avowed previews are lying?
Bro, the only evidence of lying is him praising Dragon Age...
There is none plazookas here is known for having terrible points without the necessary nuance.
You did not provide any evidence to your claim. I suggest doing more research and finding concrete proof before stating something that's this untrue.

The or disaster was because of the Art Director fyi, the actual director of the game is a vet from poe1 & 2 she wrote for both of those games.
