Again Lynz what an excellent tutorial. You’ve shown us that you don’t really need expensive tools to create a masterpiece. This surely helps a lot of beginners on a budget. Thanks for that.
This is quite possibly the most beautiful "Under the Sea" cake I've ever seen! (On TH-cam or otherwise!) Your attention to detail is phenomenal, and the way you marbled the buttercream was so cool! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cake with us!
Omg best timing i am making my dad a under the water theme cake to bringthe beach back to him since we couldnt go this year... Cakes brings people together🥰
Lynz, perfect timing! I was making myself my birthday cake and doing an under the sea theme and was waffling back and forth on how to do an amazing look. Thanks to you, now I know. I look forward to your tutorials every week. Thanks again! 💖🧁
A beautiful cake. I'm speechless. I am a beginner in cake decorating. And this really helped me a lot. Thank you. I have a few questions.. Did you dry these fondant decorations before placing them on the cake and for how long? Second question: how long can a cake decorated like this stay in the refrigerator without the consequences of the fondant figures not "sweating" or starting to melt? Thank you 😍
I am so trying out that buttercream tip even with just plain coloured buttercream as it came out so pristine. My 8 year old daughter Pippa is your newest fan. She's doing very well with her buttercream piping 😊🎂
Hi Kelly, This would definitely work with plain buttercream too. It's surprisingly easy to attach the buttercream to the cake. Just make sure you get the buttercream smooth before adding it on and it works great. Also please say Hi to Pippa, that's amazing x x
This is absolutely gorgeous! I will be making this cake this weekend for my daughter’s bday on Mon. 4/6/21. I hope it looks half as nice as yours. 🙏🏻. Tfs.
Awesome! It looks so beautiful ❤️ And tastier than fondant covered cake. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I wonder if the effect can be achieved with coloured white chocolate ganache?
Welcome to the channel!! Thank you so much and thank you for subscribing. If you want to see more videos like this make sure you take a look at all my other tutorials.
Hello lovely cake and thanks for tutorial. I’m interested in the clear oblong on the top of your turntable, what is the reason you do this and what is it made from? Also how do you get the finished cake off without spoiling it?
Hi Helen, the clear oblong board is a glass cutting board. I always use this to prepare my cakes on, but you could use another cake drum. I find the glass board works great as I can prepare my cake, and once I transfer it onto the finished cake board I can just wipe it clean. In the video you can see when I transfer my finished cake I usually use a large offset spatula and a wider cooking spatula. I find the wider spatula spreads the weight so I don't get deep marks and with the other one I can offset the weight and easily guide it onto my other board. If you are finding you are getting marks at the bottom of your cake you could fill these with a small amount of buttercream. I hope this helps.
Hi Madelena, I am so glad you like it. Yes you can definitely use the mould and add chocolate instead to make all the different shapes. They may be a little heavier, so I would just add some buttercream or melted chocolate to the back to hold them in place.
Again Lynz what an excellent tutorial. You’ve shown us that you don’t really need expensive tools to create a masterpiece. This surely helps a lot of beginners on a budget. Thanks for that.

Beautiful tutorial! Can the fondant embellishments be replaced with chocolate embellishments and if so will they stay in place ?
