Well you need to contact the game developers and tell them what you have discovered. Maybe they can change this before friday. Make it happen please do us all a favor.
If you watch YongYea's review on it he describes the opposite of what Aztecross is saying in the beginning, about the characters...and YY showed relevant footage
Was literally JUST about to say something along the same line. Lmao. You know the game is busted when Cross doesn't bother to put some music at the end of the video.
Why do the enemies just stand there and let you shoot them? Even Destiny enemies actually MOVE. These guys just stand there and look smug about their sponginess, up 'til they die.
@Wolfeschreit okay then you make a game that's better. It doesn't make or break a game when an enemy sits there and shoots you what breaks a game is glitches and bugs in the system. There is nothing wrong with enemy's being a bullet sponge and honestly i doubt you could do any better. also stop bitching about an early release its basically a beta/demo
@@Wolfen_II well anthem has the same engine as mass effect 4, and they are very similar in gunplay but mass effect has a cover system and shoulder camera change... Don't understand why they didn't put that in anthem wtf.
biggydx I did the loot cave once for about an hour and got bored. I can’t see paying 60 for a game just to play find the chest. I enjoy the moment to moment gameplay so I don’t see any point to getting all of your loot from treasure chest hunts. This all comes down to min-maxers trying to be World’s First by any means necessary rather than playing a game to have fun.
@@prophetmgs just because it's a looter shooter doesn't mean everyone has to play it the same way. Exploits ruin the core experience for many were for others it's all about that next great exploit.
@@Geekinofflife how does that pertain to the redundancy of looters and some lies being told to yourself one way is more fun than another... very asinine opinion ... Oh must be 'exploiting' the game when it's working as intended.... w t f yall smoke I may want some...maybe
adachezero kinda like at 5:16... aztecross just kinda scratches his nose, not really paying attention while these two enemies just stand there and let him shoot them 🤦🏽♂️
Guys I'm assuming the game can't have advanced enenemy AI since it would tax the frostbite engine to the breaking point. We already have framerate issues, disappearing enemies, audio bugs, and downgrade in graphics from the E3 reveal. Frostbite wasn't designed for Open world games.
@Wolfeschreit I thought it was gonna be Meh. But I have origin premium so I had the game anyway. So I played it and I enjoy it for what it is. The story was great all the little conversations in town were well thought out. If you read into the lore stuff it pretty interesting. If your here looking for a destiny killer or some sort of out of this world experience this is not it. I've stopped feeling that way about games a long time ago. Like ps1 xbox n64 days. Game has its bugs but it ain't pubg lmao
They should not have done a “full release” of the game for PC on the 15th they should have just done a 10 hour trial just like console. This buggy version of the game is leaving a foul taste in a lot of people’s mouths, and some people are completely hating the game because of some bugs.
You're right, I think the 10 hour trial is a better approach, the good thing is they are being super transparent and most likely they'll have the loot bug fixed before launch
this game has been released 6to12 mounth earlier than it should have .... Damn EA... i'am tired at being angry at things in video games but i'am so tired of undercooked games who clearly needed more time to get properly tested :x
The sounds like sort of the issue with Diablo 3's loot system, compared to Destiny 1's. issue. In Destiny 1, for most of it's like cycle (post loot cave), you basically had a finite number of very rewarding drops you could get in a week, and if you didn't get what you wanted there, better luck next week. The Pro was this kept powerful loot feeling meaningful, but the Con was that after those powerful drops, you didn't have any reason to keep playing that week (loot wise). For Diablo 3, you could get powerful loot from from any source, but way more from high end Rift Guardians on higher difficulties. The most efficient way to get loot was still to play on whatever difficulty you could still one shot enemies at, and speed through rifts (random dungeons). The Pro was that you could get powerful loot at any time, but the Con was the mathematically, there will be a most efficient way to get the most loot over time, and it probably won't be end game bosses. Hopefully Anthem can strike a balance between rare but rewarding RNG drops, and more frequent and predictable endgame boss drops.
I'd say bungie's approach of presenting the protagonist is more immersive as you feel like you are your own character and are in the world yourself as opposed to you controlling another character.
Yeh, the controlling another character gig only really works if you have a strong, likeable protagonist like Sheppard, Max Payne, GTA V's guys etc. The guy/girl you play in Anthem is bland, but obviously an actual character, not yourself. And the conversation options are utterly pointless since you can't choose between being a good guy or a bad guy.
ehh, except in destiny you don't really create your own character and identity. Having a character that doesn't speak only works in games like fallout where you shape your character based on your choices. Destiny had none of that.
I doubt the chest run will be patched by this Friday. +5 years of development. I was hoping they would have learned from Diablo 3, D1&2, Division, there own ME games, BL 1&2, etc etc. Help us Borderlands 3! You’re our only hope...
If you think gearbox is capable of putting out a good Borderlands 3 at this point, you should take a closer look at the company as a whole. If we ever do get borderlands 3 it wont be very good.
@@NeightrixPrime LMAOOOOOOOOO 3 STRIKES ONE IS A STORY MISSION LMAOOOOOOOO SOME FUCKING CONTRACTS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AND THE MOST BORING FREE PLAY OF ANY GAME EVER LMAOOOOOOOOOO
What a HUGE surprise that it's broken... If we've learned anything from Destiny (1&2) and the Division it's that games like this get good a year (or two) after release. Better to just buy these games later when you get all the DLC and a fun game for cheap.
@@joeltaveras3024 It's pretty rare these days. The ability to patch after launch makes devs lazy and producers anxious to push out garbage to start getting money back. Only terrible reviews like Anthem is getting prevents us getting alpha builds pushed out as "finished".
Live service games will always feel rather barebones at launch.. devs seem to show alot of transparency and constantly listens to their community. Loot in endgame is always hard to get right. Heres hoping they make some dank content and good decisions.
Jesta106 Right, but there’s about a dozen legitimate well constructed criticism posts on their reddit every week that get thousands of upvotes that BioWare won’t respond to (the most recent one is one clearly showing how the combo system doesn’t have clear indicators in game because the UI for your inventory is a mess), but BioWare will respond within an hour to a meme on the subreddit with like 300 upvotes. While they are hard at work to fix up the game, there’s a lot that needs to be fixed up and I doubt that it’s possible before release.
They had so much fucking time on this game , the content we got is a fucking joke lmao. Bioware should be hanging their heads in shame, it's pathetic honestly
I am going to have to agree. Destiny had 5 Dungeons and ONE raid when it launched, which was great. Their open world content sucked hard though(thank God it's better in D2) it was literally devoid of stuff to do. The Division had 3-4 dungeons only at launch. But it was saved by the story and the Dark Zone being fairly polished. Bioware is just going through growing pains of this being their first attempt at a Live Service Model
@bkstacker 247 Probably only get like 1 stronghold and a few new guns every 4-5 months. "Free DLC" is nothing more than a scam to release unfinished games.
Aztecross teeing off??? I love it! (Also, getting top tier items from chests is good if it’s done right. Chests spawn once a day, 10 chests in the world, 1 in 200 chests you hit a home run. That’s a cool side grind while you’re waiting for your boys to get online.)
Dude Cross I'm a big fan and I want to thank you for taking one for the team on this one, after hearing your review that's pretty much the final nail in the coffin that was the chance of me ever picking up Anthem, we are Destiny hardcore to the bone and much thanks for everything you've done for the destiny community we definitely appreciate you over here with us
I think people have gotten spoiled with the way Destiny has structured their loot system which is funny because Destiny 2's loot system leaves a lot to be desired (30+ raids completed and still no 1k Voices? 30+ EP and not one EP weapon drop? Reskined weapons and ships and sparrows with different names? ok). Destiny at this point and time just isn't fun to play. This game to me is a lot more fun. Just shooting and blowing stuff up is good for me. This game is more like Warframe than Destiny and we all know how Warframe started out but that game has evolved. Let's hope they do the same with Anthem as well.
warframe is free to play and looks a lot better and the loot is far more better and each piece has it's own look. the only thing to customize in anthem is you suit. for a triple A title this is a rip off. not to mention the power issues on console after an hour of playing my ps pro sounded like it was going to blow up
A lot of this is subjective and reskinned items are in Anthem as well. They even have the exact same items that just go up in tiers. You can have the same gun, with the same name, at epic and then again at masterwork. Is that really better? Aesthetic doesn't even change of the weapon and most of them look very very similar. In fairness, 30+ raids with no 1k voices would indeed suck and needs to be addressed, but EP has been fixed a long time ago and I highly doubt anyone has done it 30+ times lately and didn't get ANY weapons. I know Destiny isn't fun (for you) to play right now and I'm not defending it, but I've heard plenty of people say Anthem isn't that fun to play either and it's not even been out a week yet. We'll see if it holds up for 4 years or if EA gives up on it after it doesn't make as much money as they'd like. I hope it does well because competition in this genre is needed to make sure other games keep improving so they stay relevant.
@@BatDad-qu4fo ,that's kinda my point. People are going crazy over Anthems loot system. I think the only real difference is that Anthem's is not tied to a specific event or enemy. The weapons come with "random rolls" in its own way, you just craft them until you find a combination you like. The thing that kinda gets me upset though is people will play a game for 10, 15 hours a day, Run through everything and then they're like they've run out of stuff to do. This game hasn't even officially dropped in its entirety and its already "busted". This game is not destiny and I think too many people keep wanting to compare it and have it work like destiny.
Oh man let me tell you about Borderlands 2 loot system. I spent about 300+ attempts on Wizard Jack (tiny tina dlc) and on the Warrior just to get a good Conference Call... I still don't have it to this day😭
@@Nappylox71 "The thing that kinda gets me upset though is people will play a game for 10, 15 hours a day, Run through everything and then they're like they've run out of stuff to do" That's a very fair criticism and I've seen that myself. A friend of mine said he was running out of things to do in Destiny in the first 2 months and he had already put in just under 200 hours. I was watching a video and someone commented that they were bored of Destiny 2 after only putting in 1000 hours!! Their justification was that they had put in 3000 hours in Destiny 1, even though D2 hasn't been out nearly as long as D1 yet. The difference here though is that Aztecross is already having some fatigue with the game after only 35 hours, which isn't that long for a game like this. I think most people know that this game isn't like Destiny at all (more like a Warframe/Diablo combo) so I don't think that's what their criticism is about. I do believe the game has potential and can/will be better down the line, but the question is whether people will stick around long enough (or come back later) to see the game get better.
You should make sure BioWare sees this. Post it on Reddit, tag them on twitter. Do something. It's good that they stay close to the game and they want to participate fixing any issues. It's a game as a service after all. Just.. let them know about this! We can save this game.
Excellent review Cross! Addressed some important points about loot and the rewarding-ness of GM2-3. The bugs are not awesome, but like you pinned in the comments, they can make the changes and address issues quickly.
I value a game by whether or not I can get the same amount of hours of fun out of it that I payed for. $60 game, I should be able to dump 60 hours in no problem. I don't know if this game really has that.
i mean, sure if thats the way you value a game thats fine. But you dont go to the movie theatre expecting to watch a 15 hour movie because the tickets where 15$.
1 dollar per hour of game time is how shit games happen. Devs will ne more interested on keeping you playing than actually making a good game. Like somebody in this thread already, a 15 dollar movie ticket doesnt mean you should expect a 15 hour movie
After you beat the story, it’s just doing the same boring missions over and over again. Also, AI is inconsistent, one time they’re relentless, the other they just stare at you.
I'll say this much, you made this game look the most exciting and tempting I've ever seen so far, because your Colossus looks like he's doing some badass stuff that I haven't seen yet, with a unique looking weapon.
I am so depressed now! Ive been looking forward to this for months. This!! This!!!! The the exact reason why you don’t do staggered releases !! If the whole world had access to the game at the same time than everyone would have bought it before we found out all of these problems. Tons of people are already saying the end game is so boring and repetitive. Which really bums me out man. But it is what it is. The thing I don’t get is... this game has been in development for like 6 years How is it released with 3 strong holds man??? Like I don’t get it. They can’t expect people to keep playing the same three strongholds over and over and not get bored as fuck. It doesn’t matter how cool the loot is. If the content is stagnant the game gets boring!!! Well for me.... feb22-march15 than division 2 comes out. And we know they built that game with end game in mind from the start. Because they already made these mistakes that bioware are making now
imma just sat this, if destiny 2 had the same amount if not more content then anthem at launch and it only took about two years to develop, then bioware truly is a shadow of its former self
"The the exact reason why you don’t do staggered releases !! If the whole world had access to the game at the same time than everyone would have bought it before we found out all of these problems." This sounds like you're upset that they did a staggered release and now many (maybe most) people got to see a more accurate reflection of the game before spending money and being disappointed later. I don't know how it would be better for everyone to have started the same time and just been upset and felt like they wasted their money. If anything, this is a blessing in disguise for a significant number of gamers.
My friends and I are hoping this gets addressed and corrected before the 22nd for PS4. We would rather be grinding away into GM+ rather then spending all of Sunday Chest farming all day to be honest. I have seen a few tweets from Ben Irving and Company saying they are looking into this matter. Roughly around 1:00 PM EST this afternoon. So hopefully this will get addressed. I would rather pick up and play this game as intended VS the current loot hand out.
These AAA titles need to just adopt the Borderlands loot system of...overwhelm the hell out of players with so many options it's impossible to get it all.
Thanks for the video. We need this problem fixed. As someone who loves the game, the game play loop and played it as intended (easing through the story, breathing it all in), to have endgame trivialised to loot box farming runs just makes me not even want to play again, getting the gear in a game like this is everything, working towards it, being rewarded for amazing feats - that's how it should work. I think they knew this would happen - that's why they planned on locking GM2 and GM3 until they were sure the game worked... but reddit backlash forced their hand, and now look...
Didn't give up on Destiny 1 with the Loot Cave. Didn't give up on Destiny 2 with the Public Event runs or the abysmal drop rate for Exotics. Plays Anthem for 30ish hours and is already to write the game off for a similar "problem". This doesn't seem to be very objective in my honest opinion.
He says he "likes the gameplay" but he looks hella-bored while doing it. Besides, he didn't buy the game to run laps and Anthem has competition, something Destiny 1 and 2 never really had. Anthem had time to learn from Destiny and instead they made the same mistake. Not a good sign.
I agree it definitely sounds biased as fuck and he is one of my favorite youtubers. i get the hate for ea, but the devs have been more transparent and responsive than any other game thus far. bunch of toxic people with an axe to grind with ea that are doing their best to ruin this game before it officially launches.
@@ForeverLaxx It may be by design. Just because someone doesn't like it, that doesn't mean it's wrong/bad/game breaking. That said, from what I've see the Devs are more than willing to receive feedback and make changes as necessary. If looting chests for MW items is doing a disservice to the game, I can't see that not being patched out.
That's exactly it all those games failed basically laying the blueprint of what not to do and Anthem still fucked it up and there entirely PVE focused so if the loot is fucked there's nothing else to do
Played 2 hrs off EA access and I'm glad I canceled my preorder when I did! Division 2 will be my go to looter for the foreseeable future! I'll play Anthem when it's free on EA access! :-)
And yet you and others will be back on here complaining with him on the same issues. People crack me being on this hate train when the very same issues PLAGUE THEIR EVERY GAME THEY PLAY (destiny, division) so much hypocrisy in this gaming community.
I just wish guns dropped in the same way they did in destiny, it shows you the name of the weapon and a little thumbnail, I don’t wanna go back to my base to see what I got
this dude right here, is THE BEST youtuber period. He is objective, fair and real with some of the best analysis you'll find with a personality. If he says Anthem is toast Devs better double their team and Go bungie on this shit. Again I have come to love this guys channel. Im BEYOND disappointed in Anthem. They worked on this for 7 years? WTF happened?. Also he looks native american.. has a southern accent and sounds like Woody Harralson.
Thank you soooo much for the honest info. I respect that and look forward to your update to this vid. I'm gonna wait and see. If I'm actually going to leave Destiny (for reals! I swear I mean it this time) I want to know the game I'm jumping to actually has its shit together. Keep up it coming we need all the honest insight we can get.
Honestly. All these guys who play video games for a living shouldn't even bother reviewing games. The games weren't built to be played on a continuous loop. The arguments I hear from these guys are gripes I MIGHT have 3-4 MONTHS down the line. I have a full time job that doesn't involve playing video games. I work out. I don't turn on my console everyday. If this is a great weekend game. PERFECT. That's all I really need. It's content creators forget the most profitable and most played games are mobile games. Not everyone has nothing better to do with their time then play video games and I think these "review" videos should keep that in mind.
The professional couch potatoes are ruining gaming. All games and loot must revolve around them and there no life, video game skills. While your average player who plays a few hours a night or weekends, well your considered a filthy casual and shouldn't be playing there game. This is the mentality of elitist gamers now a days.
That's because a lot of people into gaming are typically 8-24 year olds that don't have a lot of REAL work going on. These people have more free time and thus they find themselves getting burned out more often. As a KID I used to play the same sonic, Kirby, Mario, and halo games all day after school everyday. I never got bored of it until I started getting older. Even then these games I can still go back to play them if I wanted to. Something I think a lot of the older generation/more busy people are missing as to why these games accumulate so much hate and burn out, is because of the necessity to keep up with the rest of the crowd. Looter shooters don't EVER remain the exact same throughout their life span until they are done being worked on altogether. What this leads to, is a larger necessity to continue playing the game otherwise they will miss out. Even something like borderlands which is incredibly fun to play gets very repetitive after a while. It has a lot of things it does right and it's probably one of the best games ever made, especially if you include dlc. But, it gets repetitive after a while and once it gets repetitive, most people stop playing it altogether. What anthem, like all other looter shooters have to do, is change things up after time to keep it fresh and that's why it's hard sometimes for people to not rush through it to get to the end. This is what makes sustaining a game like this hard. And when you have people who do it for a living, even if it's only a couple of hours a day you play, everyone should be able to understand that burn out even if they themselves can only play an hour or two a day. With anthem, the games meat is mostly around the story, so when you are done with the story the game changes to one based entirely around loot acquisition and difficulty. Anthem is mostly just redoing the same missions on a harder difficulty and if you played Destiny 2 on release you should know exactly how this will go: It will die because it has no focus on what to do AFTER everything else. It's not a fighting game where you can infinitely match against players online or arena shooters like halo where there's things to do other than just the main game. Even though anthem is being marketed as a non PvP game, that means it will have virtually nothing to do once you get everything you want. It literally dug itself into a hole by lacking activities for people to do once the big long story is done.
Really? I imagine it’s unintentional. I’m usually not a “cut the devs some slack” guy, but it’s just in the beginning stages. I love how everyone is SUPER apologetic when it comes to bugs in Destiny but if it’s another dev, ohhhhhh shit let’s flip out. Obviously your view is condescending and biased when you have two different standards.
I believe he is giving his honest opinion . He said he really likes the game and is having fun and then he said that the loot system needed a fix that was it . I have heard from numerous reviews that the game is crazy bugged and trash but assume away that he is biased in his review .
It's not like this game has been worked on for years upon years, you think that with the time they had and hindsight from destiny's failures the dev's would have known that this was not a good system.
who the fuck is super apologetic about bugs of destiny? i don't know who you played with but they must be saints??!! Stop fan boying and holding their hands its fine to like this game even love aspects of it but to ignore its faults your just enabling them. faults mind you that for a full fucking game shouldn't have loading screens that feel like the true end boss of the game the same quests and gameplay for endgame the story.... is ok but the ending was so quick your left going wait? that's it? point 2019 asking for an mmo at launch to be a full good game isn't to much.
Hopefully they fix it either Friday when the game releases in a day one patch or beforehand because this reminds me of d1 when people would just sit in that cave on cosmodrome or on Venus and shoot the enemies

Keepin' it real as always. One of my concerns about the game was the endgame and this really enlightened me, hopefully BioWare address the Loot Issue. Thanks a bunch!
You sure look bored despite claiming you enjoy the gameplay. Though honestly I can't see how you can enjoy that slog-fest. Looks like you'll need to fire up that Nascar and start running laps, then.
In the gameplay are you under level for the missions your doing ? Or are enemies just sponges? I think most would agree that more enemies that die quicker to a good strategy, is better then a few enemies that take awhile to die regardless of strategy . The same time and ammo spent for an ideal encounter but one feels more satisfying. They seem sponge P.s sponge is a weird word to write because sponges are sponge (sponge-y) 🧽
Aditya 17 Destiny and Destiny 2 were very much considered soulless for launch, Destiny 2 maybe less because they actually attempted to make characters, but the stories are extremely basic. Anthem on the other hand barely has a final boss, it’s pretty much just “you beat him for now, wait a week until we update the game and see if we actually bring him back or not or if you have to wait three months for that” which is unsatisfying garbage for a $60 release.
Can always count on you to tell it like it is brother! Hopefully it’s figured out by this Friday. I know it’s catching a lot of heat right now but I’m still gonna give it a shot
why don't u talk about the lack of loot in destiny. comp matchmaking u into 2 v 4 games. getting 3 wishenders one after the other all at the same time. powerful gear being weaker light then the gear I have. lack of reasons to do older raids. how all the new guns coming to the game are d1 guns that should of been if the game from launch. allowing services to charge 500+ to unlock things for u. needing lfg to group up. lack of interesting exotics. no class balances. less customizable options then the first game. why do people love the b's from destiny but hate it from any other game. can anyone name a time in destiny 2 where u felt powerful?
Subclasses are balanced. And you do older raids to unlock catalysts. Powerful gear is always stronger if you know how to properly do your powerful challenges each week
JUAN P He’s mentioning the downsides of Anthem because Anthem is coming out soon and he wants things to be fixed or adjusted because they weren’t in previous loot titles. Plus everything you said about Destiny has been beaten to death.
JUAN P for me atleast there’s been a lot of instances where I’ve felt powerful. Everyone’s experience is different so don’t just generalize. Also you can’t get quest items from exotics anymore. The game is more balanced than d1 was in year 3 .
There is plenty of loot in Destiny 2. The random roll system brought back a lot of the reason to grind loot, and on top of that there are nightfall exclusives, raid loot, pinnacle weapons, catalysts, forge weapons, and exotics that are very sought after right now. Not to mention the Mercury forge for newer players. The matchmaking is pretty bs so we can agree on that. There should be no penalty for leaving such matches. To any D1 fan the new guns are nice to see again as filler between new content. The lower light thing isn't an issue I've heard anywhere else so I won't touch that issue. I'll end this by saying that if you really have nothing to do right now in Destiny you have played all of the content or you haven't played certain aspects of it. In my case I made a clan and I help people as I grind for loot.
Have you played it? Or is this your assessment from watching other people play it? 🤔I would bet money that your brilliant assertion did not come from your hands on experience.
@@hughjerection2736 Nobody talking shit about it has actually played it. Including 90% of the shitty youtubers making "reviews" for it who play it for 5 hours, record footage really fucking quick and pump out a video about how terrible their experience was. Horse. Shit.

The character you play as in D2 is a mute so you can develop the character yourself, you can be anyone you want. But Anthem gives you a set character, just a person with a mech suit that can apparently do similar things to what D2 subclasses can.
I called this when i learned that anything could drop anywhere. I said it will just be a repeat of the loot cave, or lexington event center in the division. One activity will end up being more efficient and render all other activities irrelevant. But this is far worse than I expected.
appreciate ur honesty.looking foward to it on ps4.i will def keep my eyes open.i have faith they will patch this system.they have been very transparent and open with us on everything.i know they will make this right.again, thanks so much😊
I'm planning to wait to hear how my friends feel about this one before I get it. This issue seems reminiscent of how the best way to farm loot in D1 was the "loot cave." Just killing adds in a specific area as they spawned in. In that way, I'm kinda torn with how to feel here. On the surface, it seems easy to say, well vanilla D1 had the same problem and they were able to turn it around. The only issue with that reasoning is Destiny and warframe were still new and pioneering the mmo-lite looter shooter genre. By now, I feel that destiny, warframe, and the division have been around long enough that bioware should've learned from the mistakes of others and prevented this from happening. This may suggest they weren't paying attention to the criticisms of these games as much as they should have and we may notice more repeated mistakes as more people put more time into the game. Maybe I'm being too cynical, I understand most people who have played it are still unsure of how they feel about the game overall. I just think it's something worth thinking about. Edit: I said bungie was new but I meant destiny was new
Cross how did you enter the tombs in the trials of the legionnaire? I've completed the challenges but it won't let me enter... Says I have been judged and found wanting.
I would hope nailing high end activities would be its own reward. If you’re solo or want to be an expert at team cheesing you can run chests but if you want to get good at the game you’ll play the hard activities.
For an easy run, you can just do stronghold on easy, it take around 10 minute to do a run and you will have 80% epic, 10% uncommon, 5% masterwork, 3% legendary, 2% common... since the loot is based on your level you can easily get some. the pool for legendary and masterwork below grandmaster is reduced, but it give you a good start when you hit level 30
I have 2 NVME SSD Drives in Raid 0 with a combined read speed of almost 3.5 gigabytes a second. I could move the WHOLE GAME, all 50 gigs, in under 15 seconds. I still have load screens upon load screens. Unless the game is constantly pulling actual texture data from their servers (I have no idea why it would) how are load times like these even possible on drive speed this fast? What data is moving?
It amazes me how people just give these live service games the benefit of the doubt over and over again. Best thing to do with these types of games is just wait until the DLC packs come out. I've done it with both destinys. Waited till y2 and had a blast. Did the same thing with D2. Still have plenty to do. Gonna do the same with anthem and division
Someone made a comment about the enemies having bad AI and I have to agree. I’ve been saying a while that we need a new revolution in AI for shooters. I’d rather companies spend most of their resources on artificial intelligence and make the graphics secondary. I remember Halo one was revolutionary at the time because the enemies would get scared and run away or would hide to regain their shields and that was astonishing. Seems like we have reverted and absolutely not progressed anywhere past halo one.
You said you had premier access... Is that different than early access? I was under the impression that you only got 10 hours of play this week until launch. I don't understand how you've played 35 hours.
I would hope they'd adjust it, but it also sounds like something EA would want. More players that can get end-game loot without playing end-game the more likely they'll stick around after those 25 hours (which means better chance of them buying MTX). Percentage wise, only a small portion of any community actually does end-game, but everyone wants to feel powerful in a PvE game.
Long time listener, respect your p.o.v on alot of things. But does the loot system really seem that broken though? I play various types of looters (shooter/mmo/diablo-esque) and it seems normal for the chest scenario. Cause it alleviates the solo players who wont be able to do group content for a bit. I'm hoping though that their are weapons specifically locked behind finishing those tiers. Otherwise you're right, it's a problem.
I believe that you answered your own question. If you can gear doing easy repetitive stuff faster and more reliably then playing the end game content then yes the loot system is broken . The idea is to gear enough to get access to hard mode stuff where you really get the great gear . If you can get the same gear opening chests in the open world as you can running the high difficulty stuff then the content becomes pointless . You want a great loot system check out w.o.w. they nailed there system
Its nice to hear some one who is actually enjoying the game and focusing on real issues instead of nitpicking every little issue. Also holy crap they patched it in 12 hours?? Something like that would have taken Bungie at least a month to fix in Destiny.
Seems like they heard you and the others talking about the "loot freeplay chests for legendaries" issue as they are making all those chests drop lower tier loot in the new patch on friday.

the enemies in this game always look like they just stand around and accept their deaths whenever players engage them.
Many of them being bullet sponges doesn't help that impression, either. You get more time to watch them stand around.

@@berserkerviking82 you figured it out, congratulations Einstein.
The only logical comment I've seen all day on the subject. I think you also hit the nail on the head
I just accepted my player as a mute zombie

Yeah man 6 years is just not enough time to come out with more than 3 strongholds and fix loot where it isn’t broken lol
Jacob Ruiter 6 years bro this isn’t their first rodeo you don’t have to be a genius in live service games to know you have to have plenty of content.

Appreciate you keeping it real Cross. It’s why I always come back to your videos.
I still don't have it to this day😭
@@Nappylox71 "The thing that kinda gets me upset though is people will play a game for 10, 15 hours a day, Run through everything and then they're like they've run out of stuff to do"
That's a very fair criticism and I've seen that myself.
What breaks the loot economy in these types of games is advanced copies going out to "content makers"

Anthem is mostly just redoing the same missions on a harder difficulty and if you played Destiny 2 on release you should know exactly how this will go:
It will die because it has no focus on what to do AFTER everything else.
@@legionxx-9214 lol.. dont be such a grammar nazi!
This is why i follow you, thanks for letting me know
Not surprised Andromeda 2 already shit the bed on one of the main focuses of the game.
Thanks bro for your honest review! I m thinking I will hold off on buying til the loot system gets tweeked
Wrong
It's not like this game has been worked on for years upon years, you think that with the time they had and hindsight from destiny's failures the dev's would have known that this was not a good system.
Yea everyone beats the shit out of Destiny 😂 Idk what Destiny you are playing but it sure as hell is not the Destiny I play.
who the fuck is super apologetic about bugs of destiny? i don't know who you played with but they must be saints??!! Stop fan boying and holding their hands its fine to like this game even love aspects of it but to ignore its faults your just enabling them. faults mind you that for a full fucking game shouldn't have loading screens that feel like the true end boss of the game the same quests and gameplay for endgame
the story.... is ok but the ending was so quick your left going wait? that's it? point 2019 asking for an mmo at launch to be a full good game isn't to much.
Hopefully they fix it either Friday when the game releases in a day one patch or beforehand because this reminds me of d1 when people would just sit in that cave on cosmodrome or on Venus and shoot the enemies
Most of the bugs will be fixed on the 22nd. Some people don’t seem to understand that.
Jajajajajaja
People said the same thing about Fallout 76 and look how that turned out.
Because it's only the bugs lol
Lmfao yeah sure they will
So, we can't EVER expect a finished product ever again. This mentality is why we can't have nice things. Everyone gets a trophy.
Great to know! Lets hope this is addressed. The game has great potential. Hate to see it loose support.
Good i didnt buy this Game, the gameplay isnt good enough for me to Grind like a Madman
Guess you dont like destiny. The grind is horrible.

@@dman9992 I haven't played Destiny's recent expansion, but i've always had good luck with looting based shooters.
He looks bored? Does he need to have a permanent smile on his face as he plays like some sort of psychopath?
In the gameplay are you under level for the missions your doing ? Or are enemies just sponges?
I think most would agree that more enemies that die quicker to a good strategy,
is better then a few enemies that take awhile to die regardless of strategy .
The same time and ammo spent for an ideal encounter but one feels more satisfying.
They seem sponge
P.s sponge is a weird word to write because sponges are sponge (sponge-y) 🧽
It's a mediocre game imo, if even. It has no soul and I can't see this game having a future tbh.
But hey, maybe they'll prove me wrong, who knows.
S.ns. imo i agree it looks good but no soul i played the beta ill be playing a hour a night but that about it
I mean like everyone thought the same about destiny and destiny 2,maybe this will turn out the same.
@@kylele23 free dlc. Destiny keeps scamming players for their DLCs costs plus microtransactions
Prometheus Lense, first week in crucible. But if everyone is super then no one is super.
You know it's serious when Cross doesn't have music playing
The game is trash simple. Borefest
tictac sir yes you run around and do chores!
Have you played it? Or is this your assessment from watching other people play it? 🤔I would bet money that your brilliant assertion did not come from your hands on experience.
Nope he hasn't played it. Back to Destiny fan boy.
@@hughjerection2736 Nobody talking shit about it has actually played it. Including 90% of the shitty youtubers making "reviews" for it who play it for 5 hours, record footage really fucking quick and pump out a video about how terrible their experience was. Horse. Shit.

This captured on PC? Just downloaded the free trial on EA access as I’m still undecided on Anthem as of yet hopefully the 10hr demo will define wether I get it or not. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
I don't give a shit about Anthem, but I still watch the whole video and slap that like button like my momma told me right because cross is the man.
Thank you for convincing me to wait on this one for months.
The character you play as in D2 is a mute so you can develop the character yourself, you can be anyone you want. But Anthem gives you a set character, just a person with a mech suit that can apparently do similar things to what D2 subclasses can.
Bro you look so happy playing this game!
I keep feeling like going to D1 and starting a fresh character, playing through all the story again.
I called this when i learned that anything could drop anywhere. I said it will just be a repeat of the loot cave, or lexington event center in the division. One activity will end up being more efficient and render all other activities irrelevant. But this is far worse than I expected.
Ur ideas about the chest loot system is spot on
appreciate ur honesty.looking foward to it on ps4.i will def keep my eyes open.i have faith they will patch this system.they have been very transparent and open with us on everything.i know they will make this right.again, thanks so much😊
Thanks for showing us that chest map. Screenshotted :) I heard they’re fixing it for release on 22nd tho. Time to farm chest
If you’re solo or want to be an expert at team cheesing you can run chests but if you want to get good at the game you’ll play the hard activities.
the moust best anthem video review on you tube!! thanks and good yob!
Grind master 1
Grind master 2
Grind master 3
:shrugs
You my friend, have earned yourself a subscriber
That's like doing all the way through the black garden mission in D1, and expecting end game loot to magically drop 😂
thank god someone has addressed this, everyone says this game is rewarding but at high level i find its exactly the opposite
This may sound stupid but I really like the way you talk
F__M__S__F I have to agree with you. Its like a fancy southern accent.
Always love Aztecross cuz he tells you how it is, thanks for the honesty 👍🏻
How mad did you get at the loot cave in D1?
Isnt the origine prime or whatever its called limited to 10hrs? How are you getting past that?
That's what made destiny 1 so much fun in my opinion, the only way you could hit the hard light cap was to do the raids
Thank you Aztecross on posting this video, I was skeptical about buying Anthem from the beginning and this confirms my suspicion. I’ll stick to playing destiny, sports games, red dead, and my single player games.
