- A celebration of 2000 hours played with my beloved Slayer. But above all, a celebration of my journey in this game that I love so much (and hate so much sometimes XD).
I played XX slash and AC a long time ago, but it wasn't until the +R rollback that I decided to really learn this game (and fighting games in general).
In the beginning, instant air dash combos, backdash cancels and links were practically impossible things for me. Not to mention the knowledge of the matchups.
But with time, everything falls into place. So let this video be an encouragement to all aspiring dandies.

Just wanna say this: I've just started playing this game, I'm not good in the slightest, I've always been more of a Street Fighter player because Guilty Gear and other games like it seemed like too much to handle for me. I've been having a great time playing +R, even if I'm still terrible. This video popping up in my recommended made me open up the game for the first time today, and I got my first win against a real player ever.
Thanks for the inspiration! To anyone reading this, any fighting game is hard, they can take a lot of time, but what matters is having fun as you get better!

Just started learning Slayer and watching the conversions people get is so crazy. The air super doesn't even register in my head as an option yet.
Dunno about hours, but I'm 20 years into Ky. I learned the game in the travel to play era, XX to AC, but whatever. This is all super hot character specialist stuff, Clean, amazing, makes my OG heart go hot blooded. Excellent play, sir!

The damage from Up and Close Dandy is sometimes insane, sometimes laughably low, the duality of the overdrive.

Motivated me to pick up +R again with Slayer. I kinda gave up because I had a really bad w/l record and Slayer was just hard for me, but after playing Xrd for a bit and watching this, I can’t wait to try again

Yeah my dude dont focus on wins or losses, its about the matches themselves. You can learn tons from every loss, just have fun playing and enjoy the journey

I'm gonna be completely honest here. I play this game on Maniac mode on a daily basis and I can say with absolute certainty that the Slayer cpu wouldn't lay a finger on you.

The links are all about practice. As you practice and play, they will become part of your muscle memory (although it is always VERY frustrating when you lose a round because of a dropped link...).

It's definitely not too late! You just need to keep in mind that you'll probably be facing a lot of people with a LOT of hours played, so don't get frustrated if it seems like the journey is too difficult or long. If you keep playing and learning about the game, you will eventually reach a nice level of play.
At least it was like that for me, it took me a long time to start having a more consistent gameplay.
Im a strong believer in "just keep playing and you will eventually improve" for this game XD.
So the secret is in the mindset!
@@randomvitor340 Thats okay, losing doesnt bother me, its fun regardless of the outcome. Now that I think about it, that was probably a dumb question haha. We all started somewhere and i just gotta jump in and stop being scared. Thanks btw, imma try and finally jump into xrd too. Do you play with a keyboard or? I've been trying to adapt to playing with Joystick for a few weeks, but it's getting complicated
I played in pad my whole life, recently I switched to arcade stick, but it took me some good time to adapt, first month was rough XD

Me interessei pelo design foda e estiloso. Aí vi que o gameplay dele também era foda, dano alto sem ter pouca defesa, combos estilosos e ainda tinha a personalidade daora no story mode (velho moh gente fina XD). Personagem mais foda da série fácil ❤
