I got jumped for saying this on TikTok but it’s kinda weird how popular this au is if it’s supposed to be satire.
Like yes, this seems obvious that the AU is just poorly written shock content but it’s super likely a minor is churning these out. Sure, they are in on the joke but it feels wrong that people are openly “supporting” this story and encouraging a minor to mess around with dark ADULT themes just for a laugh. If the creator turned out to be an adult, well that just opens a whole other can of worms. The point is: supporting this AU is sooo different than laughing at some weird genuine work found on Deviantart.
People also started making straight up fetish fanart as a “joke” as if the content of the story was anything to joke about. I’m talking Lincoln leashing a bruised Lori, another straight up drawing them as real kids in the AU? I admit the concept is absurd but I wouldn’t waste hours on fanart of pimp Lincoln abusing his sisters for a meme.

Exactly what I was thinking, the creators have been seen trying to make it big making shock content before (hood Loud House AU filled with racist stereotypes but the creators are non-black…) so pimp Lincoln is just something they made to bait people. I imagine these kids watched an episode of South Park or something and wanted to recreate it, thinking they were mature enough to mess around with dark topics.
However, the fans fail to realize that by making this story go viral they encourage a MINOR to create more chapters of subjects they shouldn’t even be touching, even if it’s for some joke. The creators clearly won’t stop milking this cow they’ve created, so it should really be up to people to stop interacting with them. If you point this out to the people invested in the AU (yes, there’s people out there defending this slop) they call you too woke and media illiterate.

I'm in the AU trenches of Undertale except my friend and I edited everything to be better written characters and I gave OG Gaster an entire profile and character arc that I have been working on for over half a year. We made AU characters like PaperJam sans feel more humanized and there's an entire character arc of him finding a family that's currently going on and Gaster has taken on more of a father role for everyone in the situation.
